It´s impressive how much braking force this Porsche have before the first turn. It´s also impressive how much the 765 pulls... Excelent driving from both!
That is an impressive match up, and shows the pro's \ con's of each of those cars pretty well. Amazing how much ground you make up on the back half of the track, then onto the front straight it's all over no matter how much speed you carry through the final turn.
You can't compare two cars like this. If both cars were in equally skilled drivers and prime setup (tyres, etc) the mclaren is much faster. Like the MC is better in every single aspect, of a track car, power, weight, aero, chasis, etc
@@nazarpredatorak "If both cars were in equally skilled drivers and prime setup", only nurburgring meets your requirement. Since you said Mclaren is better in everyway, what's the official time for 765lt and 991.2gt3rs?

Enjoy watching your track vids. Need to make it out to Laguna. Have you ever driven a mid engine Cayman or similar? What’s the RS like compared to a mid engine P car?
The McLaren Senna has been undefeated since 2019 in Car & Driver's Lightning Lap at VIR. No Porsche or any other car driver has even come close to the record.
The driver in the RS is clearly more talented. As great as the 991.2 GT3 RS is, the LT driver was often on the wrong line and braking too early in many of the corners. A more talented driver in the LT would have disappeared after the first lap.
I was watching those horrible lines and the obvious early breaking in the LT, wondering who was driving. They must be learning the car. But seeing some of those lines they took was torture to watch. They realized they were being chased and instead of focusing on the fundamentals. It seems they just wanted to make sure they didn't get passed, hoping the power and dynamics of the LT would make up for all the discrepancies of the driver. 😏
@@amonnanjaku True. Getting it right under heavy trail braking and early on the throttle in the RS makes one feel like a super hero. Of course very few of us - make that none of us - are a Kevin Estra but it’s fun to pretend 😂
The 991.2 GT3 RS still one of the best road legal track capable cars ever built. Certainly one of the most enjoyable to drive round a track, a very rewarding car when well driven. Its an incredibly engaging car in a way the 992 GT3 RS isn't also its only marginally slower.

@@THEvedaE I logged two in Europe and also own a 991.2 GT3 RS - the differences are very small. So small it comes down to tire choice. From a technical point of view the 992 GT3 RS is excellent as it is more adjustable but outside of that the differences in the real world are tiny. I was disappointed and dropped my allocation for a 296 GTB - the 992 GT3 RS is a great car, but lacks the fun factor of the 296 GTB as well as the usability of the 296.
The Mac driver is clearly not that accomplished, as his lines are wrong and he isn’t braking fully, more coast, then brake . However the Beetle does have the edge in the corners, and rightly so with its much more aggressive front end mechanical grip advantage
Actually 911s tend to struggle with understeer due to a relatively unloaded front axle. The 991 generation onwards incorporated rear steering which naturally takes some of the burden off the front axle. Prior to that, 911s were being spanked by Nissan GTRs around most tracks.
Not rubbish, the Porsche driver is better and more accomplished, and did some excellent driving. With equal drivers things would obviously be different, and always nice to see a well driven RS getting put through the paces.

Excellent driving. Quiet hands. Great entries and exits. All that is needed to keep up with that other phenomenal track instrument.

Hi, is that the #10 765LT that was running on the 25th as well? I have a few photos for him....
Awesome lines. You’re ripping out there
awesome video. know i want to know how a gt2rs would have done in the same scenario .
Nice. But all things being equal, you wouldn't see which way the 765LT had gone given a more talented driver in the Mclaren..
yep Mclaren would be in at the mechanic getting repaired

The 3RS simply doesn’t have the torque of the LT.
HP too
Porsche is amazing. Slightly faster in the corners but slower in the straights (obviously).
It’s only faster in the corners because the driver in the mclaren isn’t the best. Put an equal driver in there and the mclaren would have walked away.

@sos415sos Yes! We are a bunch of dorks and a few if us play on LS too.
Even though the McLaren driver is in front he’s often late and on the wrong line.
Obviously the GT3 is killer in the corners, but the 765LT just pulls away with ease on the straights.
