Isshin was probably one of the best bosses ever. He's such a perfect final exam of everything you learn in the game. God I LOVE fighting Isshin! It's become one of my fave fights in all of Sekiro-Soulsborne. Although you should have mentioned that he has a semi-automatic glock in 16th century Japan
A really hard boss is the boss named "Nightmare" in Remnant: from the ashes, his first phase is called dreamer (which is really easy compared to nightmare). Then out of nowhere he turns into "Nightmare" and totally reks you, has an absurd amount of health, even with the best gear IN THE GAME it's insanely hard to beat him.
Royal Guard was so OP in DMC5 that it took me maybe 1 or 2 tries to beat Vergil with Dante. But even then, there are so much other options to avoid damage
@Wayne C. Issin Ashina The Sword Saint was very difficult for me. I didn't learn his pattern to beat I just remembered the developors stating "It rewards the players for being aggressive Posture" while showcasing the fight with the corrupted Monk. I thought "Never make him do doing" that's what I did. I platinumed the game I beat him two times after that surprisingly he wasn't that difficult afterward.
@@Make_A_ChangeKYSelf I take it you only played once then because he fights at full power only in DMD. Also getting good can make those lower difficulties a lot of fun. Even his worst incarnation was an alright fight, weapon clashing wasn't as good but still good. Edit: I just made a comment on another video mentioning Vergil as a whole so ignore the last line.
hordest boss fight I can remember in recent times was Dreamer/Nightmare from Remnant of the Ashes... it took me 2 different ragequits before I finally beat him, ironically I was giving him a one last go before I went to bed and that "I'm going soon I'll do it later" mentality somehow made me, better?
I think he’s talking about the first playthrough, he’s a pain in the ass in normal mode but easy asf in true vault hunter mode and even mayhem mode if you got the right build
For the lusher battle just do the side quest and save the pukie puki it will show later and help you with the fight and make sure you take out those jagar's or it will deal some big damage on the pukie puki
The boss 'Absolute Radiance' from Hollow Knight can only be fought after beating every single other boss in the game, in a row.... and it's the hardest out of all of them. Like the basic Radiance boss you fight for the 'Dream No More' ending took me many attempts to get past the first three phases (which are basically one phase) and then the 4th one whooped my ass a lot, but don't worry- there's one last phase. In Absolute Radiance, the boss is way faster, has way more health and is more of a dick. There's also one last phase where you only have two platforms to fight on and the boss is constantly teleporting in conjunction with shooting orbs at you. I surprisingly beat her first try, but only because I had mastered the regular Radiance to the point I could do it hitless.
It was ridiculously easy. Idk why anyone would think it's hard. You just stay on the move going in circle and eventually duck under or jump over his chainsaw. That's it really
I hated the cannoneer and blade bearer fight, It would only make it if you dumb enough to try and 1v2 the little shits Like take ornstein and smough, but make it so 1/2 the attacks go through the pillars, there is no slow vs fast balance, and there are sometimes completely undodgeable and unblockable situations as well.
Hardest boss I have had to beat this year... Queen of the Valkyries... But I would rather have to defeat 3 of those than having to get EVERY FUCKING CROW AND FINDING AAAAAAAH
@@Brian-tn4cd fun fact after like ng+ 3 I did want to get the ending so i fought owl father and I beat him first try and got the ending but not going back there cause I know I was lucky
@@Brian-tn4cd Both. They each took me several hours. I think ISS has the most moves to learn which made him more difficult for me, but I could definitely understand an argument for either of those.
Sekiro - the Great Ape fight would be my pick from that game. It's the gateway boss of the game. Plenty of people can get to it (if they get past Genichiro). By this time you've got a pretty good hang on swordplay, but taking down the Giant Ape with the sword sticking through it's neck, who throws its poisonous feces at you? It's a totally different thing. Then you chop its head off and you think you're done, but then it picks up said sword AND its head and you have to fight it AGAIN. Then you encounter the same boss again later on and it summons a SECOND ape to fight along side it. My thought is if you can get to Isshin the Sword Saint, you have all the tools to beat him, just have to bring them all together (with some practice). The Great Ape is the one that breaks the most players (except maybe Genichiro).
It’s actually a very fun game with friends. I liked it a lot. The thing with lothar was you had to keep close to home and weird the “god key” ability. If you went at range he would splatter you . But if you were close, he couldn’t rise the middles or BFG gun.
Hey, put some respek on that boy Dormammu's name. He's probably one of the strongest villains in the whole Marvel universe. It makes sense that he's harder than Magneto.
That boss fight with Vergil was extremely easy. I have to confess that on my first playthrough I thought it was one of those bossfights you can't die in.
Nioh bosses are tough as hell, almost every single one of them made me sweat to defeat them, but then the DLC came. MAN. MAN. I think there are like 7 or so stages to it and I cannot even beat the second one. I might be underlevelled or have beaten the main story super early, but the recommended level for the DLC areas is at least 30 levels above mine.
@@CrolyGiart I played it on the basic difficulty. I do not think it's easy if you did not farm for days unend. IDk why, but after playing through Dark Souls 1-3 and Surge 1-2, I think and feel that Nioh is a bit harder either because of its speedy nature or because every boss hits like a freight train and can one combo you
@Hollow Skull Yeah, and there were 3 point in the main game where I was seeing red and was beyond pissed: the water/ocean level (forgot the name of it), the Yuki-Onna boss fight and the Iga Escape level (both the level and the boss). These were absolute cancer to do. I enjoyed the game still, and it was fun for me most of the time.
Showing Code Vein’s version of Ornstein and Smogh until you fight them again in the depths where tick for tack do exactly the same thing as Ornstein and Smogh
I've had some difficulty with game bosses. However in my experience I don't think I've ever been more frustrated than dealing with sister freide and her father in dark souls 3 and the demon in pain and the demon from below....even the stupid spider boss in bloodborne was tolerable
The spider in Bloodbourne, Rom I think, is the most difficult boss to me out of all the souls games. Idk why, but in every play through I'll die to it at least 3 times. Sister Freide is definitely a pain because it's such a long fight, and her scythe gets some bs hits in, and the demons at first were tough, but once you figure it out, it's simple. The demons are probably one of my favorite bosses to fight
John Sullivan She’s not one of the easiest, stop trying to act cool. I’ve beat every boss in DS3 solo and she was without a doubt one of the hardest, with Midir definitely being the hardest. Neither of them is unbeatable, but Friede having three phases along with her invisibility attacks was a huge curveball. For me, what got me through it is staying on her ass and when she went invisible, immediately running after her to find her so she couldn’t attack.
I'm shocked pure radiance from Hollow Knight wasn't on there. Beating him at the end of the pantheon took literal weeks of practice, not to mention the twenty minute hell you have to go through to even get a shot at him.
Killavolt from BL3 completely f*cked me over. He's one of the toughest bosses in the game and he appears very early in the story, so it takes you completely by surprise.
10 Isshin, The Sword Saint 9 Isshin, The Sword Saint 8 Isshin, The Sword Saint 7 Isshin, The Sword Saint 6 Isshin, The Sword Saint 5 Isshin, The Sword Saint 4 Isshin, The Sword Saint 3 Isshin, The Sword Saint 2 Isshin, The Sword Saint 1 Isshin, The Sword Saint
6:28 the agonizer 9000 is an a easy boss. It was one of the easiest when i firstnplayed borderlands 3. Grave ward is a lot harder. Fire is super weak on amour 6:42
Im surprised Taron Malicos isn't on here from Jedi Fallen Order. He's SO HARD to beat on Grandmaster and it took me 30-50 tries until I gave up and put it on easy mode to beat him because he annoyed me that much. The only part i struggled to beat on GM
Yozora from the KH3 REMIND DLC. Definitely one of the most ridiculously hard bosses of 2020. Kingdom Hearts is known for its very challenging secret bosses. He is no exception. Lingering Will is known as the hardest in the series, but I’d have to say Yozora is pretty darn close. I’ve beat both of them. Only after multiple deaths filled with trial and error of course. They aren’t impossible, they just take quite a bit of time and patience to figure out and finally beat. I’d like to mention Mysterious Figure from BBS, but he was known for being incredibly unbalanced. Most consider him broken because he’s essentially impossible to beat without cheese tactics. Basically just spam surge attacks whenever he has an opening. It’s unsatisfying and cheap. But it’s one of the only ways to beat him.
Yeah the twin eye things on the bridge completely destroyed me. I gave up, got some heavy armour in a friend's game and then went back and beat them first try. Clearly I was too squishy before.
The agonizer 9000 is pretty tough the first time you fight it, but after you know what you're doing and how it attacks it's far from the hardest boss in the game, I haven't really had trouble with it since the first time I ever fought it and i've beaten the game 5 times.
I actually had to come back to Isshin a year later to beat him. I had completely given up after getting beaten up for about an hour. Such a satisfying win. Shout out to Sigrun as well.
@@roberteden3713 There's a really high catwalk at the back of the arena, try getting up there asap. Its a good place for controlling the smaller enemies that spawn in, and puts you on or above his level for the remainder of the fight without having to fly around. The distorted hiss can still ruin your day, but again, its easier to manage if you only have to look in 2 directions for it. Hope that helps, good luck.
I would say these are the most challenging fights I was in last year. It took me way too long to figure out the key to the Anchor fight. And the Stoplight. Cos I'm an idiot.
In gears 5, if you find all the upgrades for jack on the first level with kait, you can also flash freeze the matriarch, making the whole encounter much easier :)
True, true, I will never admit to anyone how many times I fell through the platform while fighting the one-eyed fridge monster. There's no evidence. I deleted that footage.
Whenever devil may cry is brought up as having insane bosses it makes me feel so good because it's one of my favorite series and I was beating devil may cry when dark souls was still literally making me cry. I still don't know how I beat Virgil on Dante must die mode in DMC3 when I was younger I can't do it now but devil may cry never and I mean never gave me the trouble from software games gave me. It just goes to show how different games despite both being hard can feel so drastically different from fan to fan.
Last year I played some older games so these aren't really "recent. One of them was "The Textorcist". The game's not from 2019 but still, most of the later bosses were insanely hard at first. It takes a while to learn all their attacks and how to avoid them and having to TYPE at the same time makes things just even more confusing. Another one was the final boss from the game "Iji", General Tor. Normally he's not that hard but there's one challenge you can do to get a special ending. And that is, defeating him on the hardest difficulty AND adding the "Maximum Charge", which is an optional challenge only available after beating the game once. Normally, the boss' attacks slowly become stronger the lower his HP gets, but on Maximum Charge, he starts, well, at his maximum right from the beginning AND he constantly spawns 2 flying drones and since you're playing on the hardest difficulty, there aren't even any health pickups which usually spawn after every hit you land on him. I still have never beaten the boss like this and it frustrated me so much, that I haven't touched the game in a long time now.
All the remix bosses from Rogue Legacy (Neo Khidr, Alexander the IV, Ponce de Freon, Astrodotus and the Brohannes) were a true nigthmare for me, but it was so damn satisfying when I finally beat them up! One of my favorite platinums!
I've solo'd Borderlands 3 and the Agonizer 9000 on 1 play-though, and it was super easy. The hardest bosses for me were, The Rampager, Katagawa Ball, and Billy, The Anointed. Rapager just because he's a bullet sponge (Didn't have many lightning weapons) Katagawa Ball and Billy, The Annointed because they could down in a second at any moment.
That bossfight is extra hard because some attacks just hit so hard that the game crashes. Thankfully, the weapon you get for beating the bosses also has a game crashing attack.
The final boss in “For The King” is definitely atleast top 5 just because you only have a set amount of lives that you can lose throughout the entire game, plus you have to fight tons of hard people on your way UP to the final boss
2 of my hardest bosses was Malicos and the ninth sister from fallen order, the ninth sister just was spamming unblockabels and her goddamn bulrush, malicos also spammed his boulder
Yeah she was pretty tough. After I got her patterns down it wasnt that hard. Stay at a distance, block when you can and when she sticks herself in the ground wail on her. Also force stop was my best friend lol

Is it just me that thought the agonizer 9000 was pretty easy
Yh it was quite lightwork, personally found troy way more annoying to fight, not hard just annoying
Yeah he as really easy imo Wotan is most definitely the hardest boss in bl3
It was ridiculously easy. Idk why anyone would think it's hard. You just stay on the move going in circle and eventually duck under or jump over his chainsaw. That's it really
Agree
I also fount it easy to beat. Thank you!
I keep seeing it in lists like this and I'm just like: "seriously, it wasn't that hard".
This guy definitely hasn’t fought owl father yet
Its easy 1st try
I hated the cannoneer and blade bearer fight, It would only make it if you dumb enough to try and 1v2 the little shits
Like take ornstein and smough, but make it so 1/2 the attacks go through the pillars, there is no slow vs fast balance, and there are sometimes completely undodgeable and unblockable situations as well.
Fighting Isshen after getting good is like watching a Chinese Sword fight scene

Agonizer 9,000 is an extremely easy boss that takes at most 10 minutes to destroy. one of the easiest bosses in the game.
Ikr it's annoying not hard
The Great Ape is the one that breaks the most players (except maybe Genichiro).
people actually stuck long enough with wolfenstein youngblood to see the final boss?
I've heard of masochism but that just ridiculous

It’s actually a very fun game with friends. I liked it a lot. The thing with lothar was you had to keep close to home and weird the “god key” ability. If you went at range he would splatter you . But if you were close, he couldn’t rise the middles or BFG gun.
I stuck long enough to get the platinum.
Hey, put some respek on that boy Dormammu's name. He's probably one of the strongest villains in the whole Marvel universe. It makes sense that he's harder than Magneto.

Can't wait for this list a year from now and Nioh to get the recognition it deserves.
M7 S4i5l8v2a Nioh sucks

Orphan of Kos and Laurence in NG+.
Just chill when fighting freide, in the second phase just forget about freide and beat father of ariandel, in the third phase, well chill again

Mysterious Figure is still the hardest boss fight from KH though yes you're right, he's downright cheap.

Rather not, I got to not read them and just watch the vid. If you want to know then pause it.
Rapager just because he's a bullet sponge (Didn't have many lightning weapons)
