Pre-patch Annihilation in Remnant 2 took me days to finish. It was even worse in multiplayer. The speed of the phase changes combined with how hard he hit was pretty insane.

At first i was surprised, then suppressed memories unlocked. Lol. I think i was on jedi master. That fight was rough. Rayvis definitely is my stand out. Theres also a "puzzle room" just before him which i consider a personal boss. Lol
Last boss in Remnant 2 took me with my friends few days to beat. On last try I spent like 10min fighting him alone on highest difficulty because my friends died. It was my first "Main character" moment.
It took my buddies and I about 15 tries for the final boss in Remnant 2 on nightmare mode. Every single time we all died. On the final try, we were each so focused and dialed in and everybody survived. I remember literally jumping out of my chair and screaming at the top of my lungs 😅
@@abw1317 The sound cues from that fight are definitely what got us through to the end. Although we fought that boss pre-patch with a full squad which made the fight 10x harder. Back then you literally had a split second to react to any sound and action. Combine that with input latency and internet latency. It just made it all extremely difficult 😂
My bestfriend and i got stuck just us 2 for 2 days on nightmare and a tank build joined randomly and solo'd it after we died early. Beat the game for us 😂😅
"If you played the Dynasty Warrior games you're conditioned to fear him" That was the best, most accurate description of my feelings toward Lu Bu lol. I'm sorry, I meant "Oh no! It's Lu Bu!!!"
I found Armored core to be absolutely amazing. And I'm not talking about the kick ass fast paced action or a somewhat good narrative or even the amazing boss fights. What I found to be absolutely impeccable is how you could change your equipment based on what it is you wish to fight. Encounters could easily go from unbeatable to downright child's play when you equip yourself with the right weapons and configuration.
I just used big rocket launchers lol Every AC boss just got killed in like 2 barrages, my average boss fight time was like 20 seconds against AC enemies. Never had to change gear types, just kept upgrading to whatever the biggest, hardest rockets were. First or second tried every boss EXCEPT Snail in the second to last mission of one of the runs where he gets an upgraded shielded mech you fought earlier. That fight was SUUUUUUCH a difficulty jump. Went from beating every boss in seconds to getting beat like 50+ times. And the FINAL boss took me 6 tries but I loved the last last boss. My favorite thing by far was the changes to the campaign. Slight little changes snowball bigger and bigger.
Armored core has always had the deepest equipment mechanics, it's truly an overwhelming system to the uninitiated. I haven't played 6 yet, but I will get to it, but if anything I know I can expect that to be the same
Yea did you know it's scaled to size, each mech is like 200 feet tall. If you insert them in Elden ring for example, your mech is bigger then Elden Beast, or as big.
So happy to hear that Lies of P bosses were actually tough for regular Soulsborne players. That was basically my 1st one completed after starting and stopping Bloodborne after a few hours. Looking forward to going back and playing the other games. I didn't fight Nameless Puppet until my 2nd and 3rd playthroughs. Not sure if that makes him easier or not, but his 1st phase is fairly harmless after a while. 2nd phase though is bonkers. You can dodge the dash most of the time, but then those red blade spear attacks almost always connected, and the multi-hit strings you just had to try to parry at least half of them to survive and get a heal off. Even using Puppet String to get in close and up and above him for decent hit usually didn't work because of how fast he's moving and attacking.
I only really struggled with the Nameless Puppet on NG++, it was tough on NG but took about 4 attempts, 1st phase I could no hit but the 2nd one is a beast, and I refused to switch from my puppet arm axe 😂 Think my playstyle helped alot though, the game really does reward aggressive play
@@turbobuddah Agreed, I went Motivity build so wondering how I'll fair when I replay it on PS5 and try Technique or whatever magic was called. Also, is it typical in Soulsborne games that they don't let you call in a Spectre against final boss? Game let you use one for every one else but Nameless Puppet.
@@SubjectDelta20 Not yet, I'm cleaning up some games currently, but I think I'll go back to either Bloodborne or Elden Ring next weekend or so. Glad to hear it holds up. I almost beat the Cleric Beast on my 2nd-3rd attempt, but the Hunter boss wrecked me. Could have pushed through Cleric Beast, not sure why I didn't go back tbh, and I guess there's some music box skip you can do against the Hunter.
I love that annihilation was on this list. As someone who beat him on apocalypse before that difficulty got nerfed, he was brutal. And the fact that remnant very boldly telegraphs attacks before the enemies make them makes the fight possible not easy lol. 😂
Raphael's Final Act is probably my favorite boss of all times. The build up with Raphael since the beggining of the game, leading to us getting into his house, then we are surprised with the fight against him. Then boom out of no where he starts singing his own boss music. Completely epic.
Fr tho - Raphael singing his own boss music was skin tinglingly cool n on brand for his character. 12/10 - some of the best music I've ever heard in a game
Raphael's voice acting might be the best i've ever seen in a game. The inflections and character he manages to put into some of his lines always stun me.
Completely agree, one of the best bosses that I ever beat recently. Raphael even mocks the player during the whole fight, is just perfect. About the difficulty, it really depend about if you know DnD rules. Some spells (Otto Irresistible dance), trivialise the fight. Aside for that, good job Larian!
Annihilation is one of the best boss battles ever in the past 10 years. The way the boss attacks phase in and out between both the phases and you travel between 2 different locations at the same time is amazing.
That’s what I’m saying, all these people be complaint that’s it’s unbalanced but if you just pay attention to what he’s doing and listen to the sounds it’s not hard at all, it’s just a bit of trial and error like any souls boss should be
Its been my favorite game ever since it came out in 2015. and dont forget to play the dlc, its even 10x better than the main game and has the single best boss in the entire souls games series along with the best soundtrack
Bloodborne was my 1st. Took quite a lot of effort to get into it, lots of rage quits and uninstalls... but after it clicked, It became my favorite genre. They are very similar. Lies takes a lot from Bloodborne. The only issue you might have is the 30fps... I'm still praying Bluepoint are doing a remake 🙏
I will say, that final boss fight of remnant 2 was very memorable. It felt amazing when i took him down. Great and creative fight that was very refreshing.
200% laxasia even on playthrough 4 was a massive problem always a multi hour roadblock for me the nameless puppet was like an hour maybe 1.5 wall...laxasia is insane
@@AdanRayner here's the thing if you use a ally when she gets to phase 2 if the ally gets targeted you miss the 1/5 of the damage you do reflecting the lighting balls
Kraven’s boss fight was orchestrated so well, with the different types of combat and ranges he uses to attack you, along with how tough he was up close. It’s my fav boss battle in the entire game. Horizon forbidden west’s boss fights were so hard for me, especially the last one. But the first game’s final boss fight was 10x harder.
I got my ass kicked by the last boss of HZD the first time, but by my sixth replay it was a cakewalk 😂 The trick is: don't. stop. running. In fact, that's the trick for every boss -- especially the three frostbears at the same time
Idk why but i found rayvis fight harder and more fun than vader , i found rayvis or how he is called only difficult fight in game ,because of one of his attacks on phase 2 wich i couldnt dodge for life lol,
Vader was really annoying in how his fights were phased and reaching the end point of one phase could negate the damage you were doing because of the cutscene to transition, which also removed your lock on with him. Also having went to blaster stance as Cal by that point, having standard stance as Cere was a disorienting changeup.
I refused to use the blaster stance (Didn't get the platinum for this reason) because I had the feeling the game will force me to use the regular one at some point.
I honestly never died to kraven. Doc croc on the other hand. Sheesh! And anihilation in remnant 2 shifting between realities in phase 2 mid attack swings is absolutely brutal.
The first time fighting Balteus in Armored Core 6 was a damn doozy. If I recall correctly they had to nerf him eventually, so I will always cling on to my claim to fame on beating him pre-nerf lol. I was shocked to see what a pushover he was on NG+ though
I think the Balteus nerf was mostly for the homing missiles. He's still hard as dicks if you're really not skilled with it. I tried beating it with the tutorial build, and it took me an hour or so of trying. And then the "Balteus" 2.0 fight later in the one playthrough was even more unbelievable. Incredible game, and really got snubbed at the Game Awards. Hell most UA-camrs also couldn't give a shit about the game too...Really sad to see, even from the Fromsoft fanboys.
@@Someone-lg6diI totally ignored all that and powered through learning attack patterns like a souls boss. Not the strat now that I’ve beat it 9 times but hey was fun not giving in that first go
@@ryuman757I agree on the snubbery, AC fan base is loyal as any, and was gracious in welcoming new players to the franchise instead of gatekeeping. For whatever reason, Mech combat has always been a niche that few really enjoy and no one else seems to even want to try. AC's combat is truly unique to any other shooter on a fundamental level.
@@jaynizz582 It felt so good, and I really don't remember too make technical hiccups with the game throughout all 3+ of my playthroughs. It plays waaaayy better than Elden Ring, let alone most other modern games 🤣🔥🔥
Love to see Annihilation here, it has become one of my favourite bosses of all time :) While I love the fight with Elianne, I felt so bad for hurting Pieta lol :(
I’m so glad someone finally talked about Spider-Man 2 bosses! Recently finished playing it, and can say without a doubt they were MASSIVELY improved upon when compared to the ones in the previous games
The final boss of Remnant 2 was a major pain for me cos my first playthrough was on a lower end gaming laptop so every time he'd swap realms my game would stutter just enough to throw off my timing
Annihilation was that hard in *survivor* difficulty ? Damn. Didn't realize that. I mean, I started on veteran and had a rather tough time, then later took him down in apocalypse difficulty, but by that point I had an OP build that could deal thousands of overcharge damage every few seconds, letting me just dodge for most of the fight. Great vid, as always.
video idea: top 10 updates/patches of 2023. would love to see your list on what games got the best updates/patches. like for me, Dying Light 2 got a really good patch this year to make the nighttime a lot more intense and similar to DL1’s nighttime environment
The IBIS fight made me feel like I had been just getting lucky the entire game. I could not fathom at how ineffective I was against it. When I beat it, it had like 1 percent HP left and needed one more hit of anything and I had like 80 percent and one heal left. Despite this, I used up my heal, survived with 10 percent and barely beat it. Easily hardest boss of the year for me.
I just got through Immortals of Aveum None of the bosses gave me too much problem. But then I fought the optional super final boss. I could barely take a third of the health down with a standard gameplan. I had to start treating it like an average FromSoftware game perfect blocking, percise dodges, and utilizing my whole kit.
I found Laxasia way more difficult in Lies of P was stuck on her for ages. The nameless puppet i found dissapointly easy and did it extremely quickly. I guess it depends on your build
Nameless puppet kicked my ass so damn much till I finally broke and said "F*** it, I'm LITTERALLY gonna throw everything and the kitchen sink at it" I knew throwables were busted in the game so I didnt want to abuse them to much but god damn I needed to for this fight
Vader fight was cool af but the HARDEST fight in that game is the Spawn of Oggdo Bogdo or once you best him the game then throws both og Oggdo and his son at you in the same fight
Man yeah the nameless puppet was tough. But I fought him on my second play through and took me about 4 tries at level 207. But lies of P was my first souls like experience and I’m freaking obsessed. I want to play them all now
You should go to dark souls 3 next. Elden ring is more recent but it is far longer and the open world becomes a game of constantly scanning around cliffs for a cave entrance. 1 and 2 are somewhat clunky and jarring hitboxes but good. DS3 imo is the pinnacle of the entire genre but LOP is definitely honorary fromsoft.
Galdera is hard af in both games. Truly final and secret boss tier. Also, Daughter of the Dark God v1 and Vide the Wicked are absolutely stellar pieces.
Superb list! I love seeing Wo Long : Fallen Dynasty, Remnant 2, Lies of P and Lords of the Fallen getting a shoutout. I loved all those games, especially Wo Long! I think Jedi Survivor had tougher bosses than Darth Vader, but Vader was a pretty awesome encounter regardless. I also felt like Lasanxia was tougher than the Nameless Puppet.
Spawn of Ogodo in Jedi Survivor was way harder. Sure, it took me like 20+ tries to beat Vader (and my game crashed before I could save so I had to beat him again), but I have done just as many attempts at the Spawn of Ogodo and never killed it.
I did beat him on GM, took me more tries than I care to admit. But that’s still not the hardest boss fight. there is a duel boss of both the Spawn of Oggdo and Oggdo Bogdo from the original game. This one was significantly easier though, not because I got better, just because I went “fuck this” turned it to the lowest difficulty and crushed them. You have no idea how satisfying it was when you can take them both out in like 6 to 10 hits, with no difficulty whatsoever so ever.
Annihilation in Remnant 2 was tough! It took me forever just to get through round 1, then when I breathed a sigh of relief, I learned there was a round 2!
Not technically a boss fight but more of a level, but in BG3 the Iron Throne sequence was super super hard. As someone who is entirely new to turn-based combat, even on the easiest difficulty (which gives your more turns to get everything done) it's still quite difficult. Takes a lot of practice runs and planning. And I was simply NOT going to settle for anything less than saving ALL the Gondians, saving Omeluum, saving the Duke (of course) and getting the vault key. I didn't get the tadpole but even without getting the tadpole just doing all the things I mentioned it took me many many hours of practice runs and planning.
I had my NPC's planned and who went where, and even used a cheat to bring 6 characters instead of 4, and even I was save scrubbing like mad. First few times was because I didnt notice the girl in the chair instead of a cage, took me forever to see her and go "OH". Then there were times the NPCs were just retards and ran past the ladder. And for some reason, which was my biggest issue, the South area (straight from the front of the ladder) was infinitely spawning TONS and TONS of mobs. Like 2 every turn, sometimes 4 if 2 spawned in the flooded hall next to it. Trying to open the cage, free the girl, and get out and shut the door before there was like 4-6 mobs rushing it was a nightmare. I spent nearly 2 hours trying to save them all, with a cheat to use 2 extra people on!
Remnant 2 boss: hardest in my life. The #1 unique problem it presents: there's nothing else in the game remotely like it. So you're ill prepared. He's not just a MEGA version of what you fought before. Add friends? He's harder!
I actually arrived late to a meeting at work 'cause I was finally having THAT run facing the Nameless Puppet. Finally memorizing the attack patterns and mastering parries. Extremely satisfying final blow
If you’re appropriately leveled and don’t have a bad build (either actually bad or bad against Annihilation) I don’t think he’s too difficult. Solid final fight for sure. But if you’re a melee or close quarters or summoner or anything like that… well you’re screwed lol. Literally need to rebuild your whole setup. Like hunter class with long range? You’re golden. Summoner clsss with a shotgun? Probably need completely new weapons, rings and play style.
I honestly thought that Kraven boss fight was tough too!!! Glad to see I’m not the only one… considering I thought the bosses were pretty easy in the first game 😅
The thing I love about BG3 is there can be tough boss battles but if you think them through and strategize you can completly make them easy. Raphael was easy for me because I had gale use hold monster and then my tac and karlach went to town on him and killer him in like 3 hits.
Haven't tried Raphael in Honour mode yet (don't know if I will) but, I did beat him in Tactician with my Durge, my party consisted of Shadowheart, Karlach and Lae'zel every other possible party member was dead by this point in the game so it was I either defeat him with them or hirelings. I talked the big guy into joining me, had Hope and off we went. When I defeated him I stared at the screen silently for a few minutes with my heart pounding and hands shaking, immediately saved, got out and returned to camp with just my Durge. I had exactly 5hp, limped their Dragonborn ass to Withers and payed for my whole squad to be revived.
Spider-Man 2 bosses were incredibly easy with how much damage you do on the standard difficulty, had to change it so bosses had more HP than on default for them to feel satisfying since they were dying in like 30 seconds
I always save the hardest difficulties for NG+. Also prefer starting games on their intended difficulties since a lot of titles don't do hard mode very well, though I will change it if it's too easy@@akxay
@@shortsrus Understandable. you could have still played on spectacular. Ultimate unlocks after you finish the game but im sure you know that by now. Plus we all know that these games were not going to be hard from the beginning. Even ultimate is pretty easy
Ibis Cel 240 from AC6 was *THAT* boss for me. Ran a lightweight energy build and had a breeze until I hit that roadblock. 30+ attempts later and once I got all its moves down, I got it and it was amazing. Now I can beat that boss with ease.
This series has the easiest platinums. I love the spiderman universe but these games are not tough at all really. Unless youre on ultimate difficulty but even then its not so bad
This is true but a few it's bosses were just frustrating. They would break rules (like resetting your powers just so you don't power through) and turning them into obnoxious heat sinks which makes your powers useless against them. I beat Kraven on my second try, I think, but I was just frustrated and annoyed the whole time. Lizard was great on hard, though. Very satisfying.
I beat the Nameless Puppet second try and was pretty pleased with myself. And THEN I had to go for the platinum and got to him in NG+. I think 10 tries, throw controller, rage quit, grind for 2 hours, another 10 tries, narrow victory. I was just glad it was over.
Love your videos, but I have a humble request regarding spoilers: I think it would be best to include ONLY the titles of games in spoiler warnings at the beginning of every video. I have had a number of spoilers from Gameranx before, and it makes me avoid watching your channel. I appreciate that you included a spoiler warning this time, but you still included the names of secret bosses. For example, I had no idea Darth Vader would be a boss in jedi survivor until this spoiler warning spoiled it. Same thing happened to me before I played fallen order, and it really killed the moment. I also appreciate having the chapters here so that I can still watch the channel and just skip past the games I don't want spoilers for, but PLEASE just include the TITLES ONLY in your warnings/chapters. I really don't want to have to stop watching Gameranx because of spoilers. Thank you, guys, and keep up the great content!
IB-01: CEL 240 reminds me of AMX-004 Qubeley from Gundam ZZ and honestly, i was having so much fun thinking about all the Gundam scenes avoiding Fin Funnel and working on the opposing mobile suit.
"Oh no! It's Lu Bu!" 😂This is a great list. I love that the Nameless Puppet got some love. The third time through that game he's a ridiculous fight XD.
I remember re-trying Annihilation over and over, and I failed each and every time. So I deleted my character. I was playing solo. Then I realized I started the game on medium (2) difficulty (like any other game) instead of normal (1). By the the time I got to him on normal (1) difficulty, he was way less resistant and I managed to beat him in like 10~12 tries. He has sound queues and visual warnings of his attacks (that now don't do as much damage; and you also do more), so he is very much beatable. Apparently, this game was meant to be start at lvl1, and then lvl2 and so on, in order for you to properly build up gear up and acquire certain amount of stats, so that the game can be playable. As for difficulties (3) and (4), goes, aside the stats and upgraded weapons and gear, you'll also have to have a proper build.
I think Kraven took me 3 or 4 tries on the hardest mode. I did find it fun though, I hope Insomniac leans into these boss battles for the next one or Wolverine.
Good luck with Remant 2's final boss on apocalypse. It took me and a buddy two days to beat it. It's the ultimate challenge in the game. You have to be almost perfect to actually defeat them. The boss can go on for about 20 minutes.
Annihilation is challenging for sure and it can be overwhelming, but all its attacks are broadcasted pretty well if you stay calm and pay attention to audio cues.
Still haven’t beating Annihilation in Remnant 2. Started the game on veteran or hard mode with a buddy, got to the final boss, got our asses kicked instantly, then went to grinding in adventure mode lol Haven’t put too many hours into the game yet but that final boss surprised me
If you give the final rune tablet to sparky instead of the blacksmith you absolutely can upgrade your gear after killing the blacksmith during the umbral ending of LotF
Just played the Kraven boss fight last night. I have been noticing an increase in difficulty in Spiderman 2 compared to Spiderman 1. Just got the game recently.
Annihilation gave me SO much grief for so long- I must have died like a dozen times in a row, sometimes in less than 30 seconds because his moves just weren't clicking with me. The form-switching thing was just ridiculous, because he'd always switch mid-move, and then complete the move when he switched back. But then I made a couple of minor tweaks to my build, rolled an attempt where his RNG meant he barely used his most BS attacks, and my dodge timings just clicked, and I was able to take him down. He's still a bastard, and from what I hear he used to be even WORSE before a patch (this is why I never play games when they're brand new).
10:06 after dying twice to this guy, I decided to send one of my party members into the room with the rune powder barrel and rune powder bomb, which promptly destroyed everyone and everything in the room except Raphael, but it left him low enough that the fight wasn’t too bad after that
That Darth Vador fight seemed to be pretty challenging ! Surprised you didn't mention "Saito Toshimitsu" from Nioh 2 (same studio as Wu Long, but better game), which is one of the toughest Boss I've ever fought in any game... I was sweating blood. Those who played Nioh 2 can relate I'm sure
Lu Bu was a legendary fearsome warrior irl. No wonder they made them ridiculously op. As for Darth Vader,he was not that tought. I died during the final boss fight, but not Vader.

Did you ever go back to BloodBorne? I just finished the main story, trudging through the DLC now. It's really an amazing game when you get into it.
Nameless puppet railed me. I still haven’t beaten him and I’ve beaten Malenia.
That’s what I’m saying, all these people be complaint that’s it’s unbalanced but if you just pay attention to what he’s doing and listen to the sounds it’s not hard at all, it’s just a bit of trial and error like any souls boss should be
Man 2023 was whopper of gameranx videos what a year🔥
A soulslike has finally clicked for me in Lies of P and i love it, it actually makes me want to go back and try Bloodborne again
You definitely should. Don't be afraid to use a guide. The atmosphere in BB is amazing alone.
@@JDMStav Yeah i wish it was 60fps
I will say, that final boss fight of remnant 2 was very memorable. It felt amazing when i took him down. Great and creative fight that was very refreshing.
I thought Laxasia was tougher than Nameless Puppet. In either case though, perfection grindstone works like a charm.
200% laxasia even on playthrough 4 was a massive problem always a multi hour roadblock for me the nameless puppet was like an hour maybe 1.5 wall...laxasia is insane
@@MrAnimeFan4EvaCompletely agree. She's fantastic.
Nah because you have your ally.
@@AdanRayner here's the thing if you use a ally when she gets to phase 2 if the ally gets targeted you miss the 1/5 of the damage you do reflecting the lighting balls
@@AdanRayner Oh no. I don't use summons in that game. Never have.
I got my ass kicked by the last boss of HZD the first time, but by my sixth replay it was a cakewalk 😂
The trick is: don't. stop. running.
In fact, that's the trick for every boss -- especially the three frostbears at the same time
After beating Vader I cracked open a beer, drank it, and then took a nap.
Literally the same thing I did, I’m glad I’m not the only one lol
@@theZDOME Lol, your profile pictures even have the same kind of lighting and shadows 😅
Same, it could’ve been like the ninth sister from fallen order where you can try to fight him but when you die a cutscene plays
I refused to use the blaster stance (Didn't get the platinum for this reason) because I had the feeling the game will force me to use the regular one at some point.
I have complained in the past about the lack of spoiler warnings, so thank you for finally doing those at the beginning. Really appreciate it.
Tyrs final fight in god of war Valhalla was a notable challenge at the least
look at all these elite gamers in youtube comments that didn’t have a problem any bosses ever in any game
Balteus is meant to teach players to swap builds to counter oponents. U specifically get anti shield weapons and fight sulla which uses those weapons
Love to see Annihilation here, it has become one of my favourite bosses of all time :)
While I love the fight with Elianne, I felt so bad for hurting Pieta lol :(
Only reason Kraven would be hard is because you cranked the Spider-Man game to the hardest difficulty.
That’s what I did. Otherwise I’d beat it so fast
Metroid Dread final boss is wild, takes some pattern learning
True, but that's a game from 2021, not 2023. As far as I can tell, all the games in this list are from 2023.
True point, I just read recent in the title and 2021 is still recent lmao@@warkiller

video idea: top 10 updates/patches of 2023. would love to see your list on what games got the best updates/patches. like for me, Dying Light 2 got a really good patch this year to make the nighttime a lot more intense and similar to DL1’s nighttime environment
Yo Spiderman 2 bosses legimately surprised me especially Scream. I was so done by the fifth health bar 😂
That was easy work for me
@@dr.loomis4221🍪
For me it was the lizard, I found All 20 healthbars difficult af
The IBIS fight made me feel like I had been just getting lucky the entire game. I could not fathom at how ineffective I was against it. When I beat it, it had like 1 percent HP left and needed one more hit of anything and I had like 80 percent and one heal left. Despite this, I used up my heal, survived with 10 percent and barely beat it. Easily hardest boss of the year for me.
That happened in the take out the redguns mission and i only had the yo yo against the final acs
I just got through Immortals of Aveum
None of the bosses gave me too much problem.
But then I fought the optional super final boss. I could barely take a third of the health down with a standard gameplan. I had to start treating it like an average FromSoftware game perfect blocking, percise dodges, and utilizing my whole kit.
It’s a hassle on the highest difficulty.
I love how in Remnant 2 a shooter souls-like style game in the hardest boss suddenly becomes a beat bullet hell madness is so good!!!
I found Laxasia way more difficult in Lies of P was stuck on her for ages. The nameless puppet i found dissapointly easy and did it extremely quickly. I guess it depends on your build
Laxasia is the hardest after the game was patched. Before the patch the nameless puppet was easily harder than her.
Bless you for making time to play and post all of these games
The Insomniac Spider-man games are only tough on Ultimate difficulty
The Raphael fight was extremely hard. It was incredibly hard to queue up actions instead of listening to the awesome background track.
Nameless puppet kicked my ass so damn much till I finally broke and said "F*** it, I'm LITTERALLY gonna throw everything and the kitchen sink at it" I knew throwables were busted in the game so I didnt want to abuse them to much but god damn I needed to for this fight
Laxasia.... 2nd phase is just dice rolling to avoid unbeatable strings of bullcrap, Nameless puppet is just a very tough 1v1
👍🏼
Agreed. That fight was kinda bullshit.
To be fair, I remember Kraven being an absolute menace in the OG Spider-Man games also.
“Makr them suffer” lol
Annihilation in Remnant 2 was tough! It took me forever just to get through round 1, then when I breathed a sigh of relief, I learned there was a round 2!
The Final boss of Ghost Runner 2, Mitra. Until you learn his pattern, it's just a friggin' bullet hell + platforming
I saw my brother fighting him and I can tell he was getting annoyed by him plus he didn’t like the game in general
Gameranx starting the year off with BANGERS
I think it took me 3 hours of dying over and over again before I finally beat Darth Vader. He was definitely the hardest boss of 2023 that I played.
Gná and Berserkr King on hardest difficulty in GoW Ragnarok are absolut pain. They should be on the list imo.
Agree
RECENT GAMES, 2023 NOT 2022!
2023 list
Recent can be even further than a year or two back for someone.
I ended up with the moon bow on my first playthrough of remnant 2 and annihilation ended up being really easy think he only took me 5 or 6 trys.
Probably need completely new weapons, rings and play style.
try on apocalypse for some fun at least
I honestly thought that Kraven boss fight was tough too!!! Glad to see I’m not the only one… considering I thought the bosses were pretty easy in the first game 😅
Just a friendly suggestion, might be better to only list the games that are on the list in the spoiler warning scrolls. Great vid as always!
The thing I love about BG3 is there can be tough boss battles but if you think them through and strategize you can completly make them easy. Raphael was easy for me because I had gale use hold monster and then my tac and karlach went to town on him and killer him in like 3 hits.
i was shocked when i beat sigrun only on my 4th try on no mercy i expected her to be way harder since she's always top 3 hardest bosses in lists
Nameless Puppet on NG+3 is hitting me hard.
Raphael is an absolute badass, when he starts singing his own boss theme... yeah that was awesome
Spider-Man 2 bosses were incredibly easy with how much damage you do on the standard difficulty, had to change it so bosses had more HP than on default for them to feel satisfying since they were dying in like 30 seconds
Why are you playing on standard difficulty if you want them to have more health? Play ultimate
How do you not automatically pick hardest setting immediately on every game?
Spiderman 2 was not hard....lmfao
Like srsly I don’t know what these ps fanboys are smoking
This series has the easiest platinums. I love the spiderman universe but these games are not tough at all really. Unless youre on ultimate difficulty but even then its not so bad
This is true but a few it's bosses were just frustrating. They would break rules (like resetting your powers just so you don't power through) and turning them into obnoxious heat sinks which makes your powers useless against them. I beat Kraven on my second try, I think, but I was just frustrated and annoyed the whole time. Lizard was great on hard, though. Very satisfying.
Yeah I don't think Kraven even touched me
Kraven was insanely annoying tho, not hard but annoying
Agree about this Vader fight. It was giving me flashbacks to Elden Ring. It was only missing the “You Died” after the 10x he killed me
Great video, oh and you really sound like Joshua Tomar lmao
Omg the music playing during the Raphael fight is 12/10 - some of the best music I've ever heard in a game
I beat the Nameless Puppet second try and was pretty pleased with myself. And THEN I had to go for the platinum and got to him in NG+. I think 10 tries, throw controller, rage quit, grind for 2 hours, another 10 tries, narrow victory. I was just glad it was over.
Love your videos, but I have a humble request regarding spoilers:
I think it would be best to include ONLY the titles of games in spoiler warnings at the beginning of every video.
That Armored Core boss looks like a skinny Qubeley MK-II even has similar attack styles and seems to use funnels
"Oh no! It's Lu Bu!" 😂This is a great list. I love that the Nameless Puppet got some love. The third time through that game he's a ridiculous fight XD.
I tend to believe that "Makr" at 1:02 is intentional to mix between "mark" and "make"
I remember re-trying Annihilation over and over, and I failed each and every time.
Loved when Raphael started singing. Totally unexpected and entertaining.
I think Kraven took me 3 or 4 tries on the hardest mode. I did find it fun though, I hope Insomniac leans into these boss battles for the next one or Wolverine.
Thanks for the list up front. Actually kept me around.
So I haven't played Baldur's Gate 3 yet....does the soundtrack occasionally break out into musical theatre type stuff? Because that sounds amazing.
lol. no. it was just for this boss fight, which became kind of a viral sensation.
Happy new year Man.😁👍.
Green Monster in the Swamp gave me more trouble than Nameless Puppet 😭😭
“Nothing comes close to the darth Vader fight in this game”
Ogdo Bogdo: “Am I a joke to you?”
The parking garage monster in Evil Withen broke me. Put it down for about a year. Came back and still hated it.
Still haven’t beating Annihilation in Remnant 2. Started the game on veteran or hard mode with a buddy, got to the final boss, got our asses kicked instantly, then went to grinding in adventure mode lol
Haven’t put too many hours into the game yet but that final boss surprised me
If you give the final rune tablet to sparky instead of the blacksmith you absolutely can upgrade your gear after killing the blacksmith during the umbral ending of LotF
10:06 after dying twice to this guy, I decided to send one of my party members into the room with the rune powder barrel and rune powder bomb, which promptly destroyed everyone and everything in the room except Raphael, but it left him low enough that the fight wasn’t too bad after that
Armored Core 6 is like a modern Zone of the Enders and I love that
#6. AND he has his own music. He's a boss of a boss. Allying with his LT is a decent help but the music made this fight amazing.
Galdera! The stuff of nightmares! I had forgotten that name, but now all the ire comes rushing back!
So happy to see my most hated/loves bosses make the top 1 and 2 spot. Both of them broke me but when I beat them I felt so accomplished
I could play the Raphael fight again and again! The music is SOOOOO good!
Lu Bu was a legendary fearsome warrior irl. No wonder they made them ridiculously op.
As for Darth Vader,he was not that tought. I died during the final boss fight, but not Vader.
Hi, since i'm a bit early I have a question :) I was wondering if you could recommend any PC games for me. I'm on a bit of a budget, but I'm hoping to find something that still offers great quality. Any suggestions? Thanks!
