Theseus and Asterius were initially incredibly hard bosses for me, and still are, but I managed to find a few good tricks for getting past them almost every time. 1) Focus Asterius, he's the easier of the two and the battle becomes a lot easier without him in it. Never attack him head on, always wait until he attacks, dash behind him and then attack. To dodge his bull charge more reliably, circle around a pillar and dash through it if you need to, eventually he'll hit it. 2) Pick up a Dash boon so you can deal extra damage to Theseus by dashing through him to attack from behind, Athena's is particularly good since it can reflect his spear right back at him. 3) Use the pillars to your advantage. Bait Asterius to attack those since it will trap him between the pillar and you, letting you get in some good damage. They can also be used to block Theseus' spear.
Or if you want to be cheesy, just run around in circles letting the bull chase you around and get in special hits here and there. It isn't difficult to beat him without taking a hit.

3:54 Ironically, that fistfight in Cyberpunk can be made really easy with a cyberhack focused, max Intelligence build. You need the max level version of Short Circuit cyberhack that makes your weapon crits apply low level Short Circuit, plus some decent passive Crit Chance. You still need to dodge the attacks, but you deal a ton of damage.
That's one way. For me I hate arms and legs implants. The only implants i ever use in any playthrough is the cpu types and thats it. So doing the boxing quest with bare hands with no implants the damage im doing is 3% damage per hit so every fight was basically block heavy attack stun the targets from the back and chain punching combo while running around the arena. Of all the fights Razor was easier because all you had to do was stand in the ring corner he will go for a heavy. You block it punch his abdomen which is his weak point few times he gets stunned do this for 5 minutes and he is down.
Glad to see Hellpoint and Mortal Shell represented, btw trying fighting the sentient when it has the evil humanoid beside him, damn that fight was a pain.
Theseus and Asterius are basically build checkers - if you didn't get anything to catch your build on (either a boon that works well with your chosen weapon/aspect or a good synergy duo boon), you ain't gonna have a good time anywhere further even if you'd get past them. Hades is the kind of game where once you figure out which boons work well on which weapons (and which ones work well in general) and you learn how to force out a build semi-reliably (using god keepsakes), the only limiter then becomes your mechanical ability. Sometimes you can get very unlucky but even then, when you know your boons, you can usually work something out. also columns are your best friend against Theseus' cheesy spear
Razor Hughes was super easy for me, I beat him in seconds. I recommend getting the legendary gorilla arms and synaptic accelerator cyberware, and hitting him in the gut (like doctor Victor was telling you); use a mix heavy attacks to knock him down, and rapid light punches for damage before he gets back up. Honestly, I had a lot more trouble with Rhino, she’s a real beast!
When my best friend went out of town for a week he lent me his PS5 so I got to play the Demons' Souls Remake. This doesn't count, but in 2019 the 'Godmaster' dlc was released for Hollow Knight, and with it came both the hardest boss and the second hardest boss. They are both harder versions of the final boss, since the final boss is actually 2 bosses- The Hollow Knight and The Radiance. The harder version of the Hollow Knight is known as the 'Pure Vessel and the harder version of The Radiance is named 'Absolute Radiance'. There was also a feature which was added that allowed you to fight bosses on 'Radiant' difficulty (bosses have more health and you die in one hit) so technically you have to fight this ultra hard boss while it has more health and you die in one hit... fun.

@@dbrx758 Are you talking about normal hades, or phase 3 hades? cause there's a BIG difference.
gameranx needs a rule like most list-based channels that they won't just reuse the same games for all their lists. 3 demon's souls bosses in this one game. just make a favorite demon's souls boss video
Agree, it makes lists really boring
I still can't beat the first boss in Bloodborne...
Lowkey same
the Cleric beast or Father Gascoigne? because you can cheese the father.
Oh you gonna hate Coz then. Dlc boss. Bruh I consider myself a master at that game, Max lvl and items etc, a a STILL barely best Coz with 1HP and a dream
JUST GIT GUD
but seriously just don’t get hit and you’ll be fine
@@DontTrustThemSnakes It's Orphan of Kos. Definitely a tough fight. One of the hardest in the whole soulsborne series.
3:54 You can drop a weapon in the ring and wile the fight is going on you pick it up, if the game is buggy, use the bugs
Man was shooting a possessed demon with heavy cannon base fire, that's rough
I think theyare trolling us at this point lol. Must have been playing ITYTD or HMP aswell
@@McRizzle23 no that was definitely serious
@@McRizzle23 he was playing on a controller. Doom Eternal is partial toward precise inputs.
@@frespects9624 yeah dont I know it. I use DS4 with the back button attachnent. I didn't need it until I went from UV to NM
@@McRizzle23 why controller, you play on pc so why not use a m/k. Or did you want to challenge yourself. Or do you just have bad aim on mouse?
Imagine getting recked by a house 😂. I dont play these game's but that would be hilarious
If you're not careful, it'll do you worse than the Wicked Witch of the East...
Makes the old adage "The House Always Wins!" hit home just a little more lol
wrecked
The house always wins has a new means
Hellhouse was very memorable in OG FF7. I can see why they bumped it up to actual boss status for the remake
Gotta say Hell House is the first time in quite awhile I've struggled with a boss, fount it harder than the final on hardest difficulty.
5:29 The Majima Everywhere system is still active, I see.
Uh anyone heard about Fatalis? Y'know God of elder dragons first final boss in a MH game......etc
Dragonator and bind shot,is the only savior :)
i dont think they even play monster hunter
Yeah that boss is very difficult if you don't have the proper equipment and temates
They don’t even say some of these bosses are that hard Fatalis is more unforgiving than the majority of bosses on the list
"Any boss that can heal itself is just gonna be a pain"
Moonlight Butterfly from DS1: Am I a joke to you?
Razor Hughes was super easy for me, I beat him in seconds. I recommend getting the legendary gorilla arms and synaptic accelerator cyberware, and hitting him in the gut (like doctor Victor was telling you); use a mix heavy attacks to knock him down, and rapid light punches for damage before he gets back up. Honestly, I had a lot more trouble with Rhino, she’s a real beast!
Asterius and Thessius fight. One word. Deflect. Extremely satisfying when you deflect the spears back at them as a killing blow.
Hellhouse made me rethink my life on the harder difficulties
Ik it’s late but did you ever attempt the top secrets?
Falcon: makes a top-10 hardest bosses list
soulslike games: Hello There
I’m convinced Fatalis isn’t on this list cause you haven’t beat him yet at that moment 😅
Number one EA with my life
theres a way easier way to beat katsuie. BREAK his horns, it actually removes his charging attack
Mathematician Tosses Toucan At Rotating Sphere
Theseus and Asterius are my favorite boss fight in Hades.
Nice video! The last sister fight in jedi fallen order was pretty tough as will I feel like haha
Thesius and Asterius are nothing compared to extreme mesures Hades, his third phase is definitely hardest fight in the game
Me: *sees title* wonder how many souls type games there's gonna be
Gameranx: *yes*
When my best friend went out of town for a week he lent me his PS5 so I got to play the Demons' Souls Remake. I beat it 4 times in that week and honestly thought Flamelurker was one of the few proper souls bosses. I didn't struggle with Maneater too much and King Allant never once managed to drain one of my soul levels, but Flamelurker I got stuck on almost on every playthrough.
I loved that Artorias Vietnam flashback you threw in there
I fought Katsuie last night and holy shit, it was so goddamn hard. I used up so many of my Elixers and Ochoko cups. Eventually I stopped summoning people and ended up killing him by myself which felt good. Super hard fight but it was very satisfying to finally win! Using Water Talismans really helped.
Man I honestly haven't had a game be so tough but so enjoyable as Doom Eternal. Hell just the music gets my adrenaline going.
What about Fatalis?
Exactly. Wtf....its like everyone in gameranx dont play monster hunter world game in that department. Monster Hunter World is literally a game that focus from one bosses to the next. PLAY SOME MONSTER HUNTER GAMERANX.
@@noxferum8204 Monster Hunter World is kinda trash tho, it makes sense they don't have any interest in it.
They need to add meme souls to the list so normalfriends can relate.
@@Nyhmgod your opinion is trash
@@Nyhmgod It's literally Capcom's best selling game of all time. Saying it's "trash" makes YOU look like one.
Love the thumbnail 👌
Its a shame that such a small group of people have seen and fought Yozora from the Kingdom Hearts III Re Mind dlc. He should have been on this list.
I'm scared of going up again him but I do want to get the Re:Mind DLC. I'm finally finishing FF7R on hard mode so I think afterwards I'll at last buy the DLC.
The Empowered Scholar from BL3: Guns, Love, and Tentacles was so hard people thought it needed to be patched.
“The final boss for doom eternal ancient gods is extremely hard”
Me who just bought the DLC an hour ago ._.
Give us your opinion
I just loved sunset riders reference. Good job
H E L L H O U S E was a seriously tough and unforgiving boss!! Definitely one of the toughest of the year.
The title should be "I played a bunch of Dark Souls-esque games recently so i'm gonna rant about them"

Shut up.
As he said in the first 5 minutes

Why do you guy’s or gals have to be so toxic? He just asked a question.
Wow I’m so glad he made it from Nioh2 that boss made me rethink my entire build and if I would even finish this game
the final boss on the callsto protocal should be on here
this video came out before callisto bro but i agree
Unpopular opinion: melee buils in Cyberpunk 2077 are massively underrated
If they lowered the price on Dark Souls remake, I would give it a try.
Dark souls or demon souls?
@@in4mus85 either way, both are worth full price.
Vic tells you before the fight that Razor had some surgery on his ribs recently. He'll knock you out in 1 or 2 hits no matter what but just punch him in the stomach and he will be constantly staggered. No strength required, just stamina boosters.
If people thought the base Doom Eternal campaign bosses were hard, they shouldn't play the Ancient Gods DLC.
Real talk I thought I was pretty decent at the game having beaten the base game on nightmare but ancient gods beat my ass so bad I still feel it. Doesn’t pull any punches.
@@aarongregory4980 I still have yet to play the game itself on my Xbox, but after playing Doom 2016, and on Stadia no less, with pretty bad WiFi, I won't really know the difference.😂
Hell house on Hard mode was legit almost a 30 minute fight... it was BRUTAL I barely managed
I know it’s not recent but I think the valkyries on God of War should be an honourable mention
Especially the queen
yes, especially Sigrun

Why exactly would that be on a list of 2020
I thought Malenia Blade of Miquella was gonna be on here 💧👁👄👁
Maneater(s) are too hard.
Royal Magicians: *"Peasant"*
Every time you fly a helicopter for a mission in GTA 5
So I gathered that demon souls is 90% of the tough bosses.
PS5 is better since they FINALLY fix the camera angle.... Back in the day ahh yeah good luck
nice vid falcon
Finishing Doom eternal on ultra-violence is the most fun and rageful experience i have ever had and i loved every Second of it
Except for every time i got one shotted by fodders!
You didn’t need to give Samur marauder eyes
Number one: So this game is Earth, specifically patch 2020 and the big boss of this patch is Coronavirus, The devs don’t appear to be attempting to take it out of the game
I beat razor hugh. It took me 8 times, but the satisfaction of him getting a phone call after and hearing him say he’s been fired is amazing
I would say one that should’ve been on here is fatalis or alatreon from iceborne.

There was also a feature which was added that allowed you to fight bosses on 'Radiant' difficulty (bosses have more health and you die in one hit) so technically you have to fight this ultra hard boss while it has more health and you die in one hit... fun.
Monster Hunter World Iceborne's Fatalis
Mr. Sin It took me 40 mins to beat the Shrieking Legiana because regular Legiana was always up its ass
Great list. Ideas for 2021’s list - Phrike and Nemesis from Returnal. Eldest Souls - take your pick from the mid-game, they’re all buggers
The Ancient Gods was insane. I beat 2016 and Eternal on Nightmare but dropped the difficulty down for the Ancient Gods because I simply don't have the time for that 😅
