3:34 That young hero is called Digetal Animation!!
Hercules is a movie where some stuff happens here and there for the sole purpose of framing the existence of Disney’s perfect interpretation of Hades
incredible take
Even though it's incredibly inaccurate it's still amazing
Tho hades wasn’t evil in mythology he was more true neutral
@@Raptor-yt1ms and he was one of the gods that helped Zeus trap and imprison the titans
Theres so much more to hercules than that bruh...the character development...
2:15 I love the little “hooray” for the king, he deserves it
Short king indeed
Yeah
Facts
He is probably the only reason the court of hearts isnt falling apart
That’s actually the big cheese himself, Mickey Mouse!
5:46 The way how the queen listens and agrees with her husband despite how much she wanted to chop Alice’s head off is honestly the sweetest. She even gave him little head pats. Goes to show that she really does care for him, even a little.
Quite possibly the little ray of sunshine in her life, so a favor here and there is deserved.
Must be a fun marriage. I bet she's freaky in the sheets.
Yeah thats pretty adorable. . . .until the queen decides to chop out his head in the tim burton movie, auch.
He's so adorable
In fact, a joke in the original book was how the king cancelled every execution before it was done, making the queen's orders pretty much null
I love Yzma, Hades and Jafar because they balance malice with humor without giving too much to one side or the other. And Claude Frollo is too vicious not to be a favorite.
I mean Hellfire is just such a masterpiece of a song in general. The struggle, angst, desire, and hatred that song has is just *chef’s kiss*
@@batfan932 It's my favorite Disney villain song. It's too bad they can't make films with overt themes like this and need to stick with metaphors.
Claude Frollo has to be my favorite Disney villain just because of his representation and also the fact that the stage play songs slap as well
@@frostyelwood9898 I think we should have more magical villains, but Frollo, Shan Yu, Gothel, Hans, Ratcliffe, and Bellwether are manipulative, strategic villains that are so fun to watch.
@@OpticalSorcerer Frollo is just my favorite because he’s so cool and dies in such a good way that it feels satisfying
"The Queen of Hearts!" *Crowd cheers* *King pokes him* "And the King..." One guy goes, "Hooray!" 😆
Lol, I hope the King remembers his one fan later on and thanks him.
Pls the little king is adorable 😭
I'm his fan
The “short king” before short kings became a thing.
He was a short King and his wife would pat him on the head, respect his wishes, and include him in everything. She loved her husband, and nobody can say otherwise.
Short kings need love too.

R.I.P. to Pat Carroll, the voice actress of Ursula. She truly nailed the performance, and she will be greatly missed, and forever remembered as one of the best Disney Villains. Also, glad to see someone else who appreciates how hysterical Queen of Hearts is in every scene she's in.
Also Eartha Kitt, the voice of Yzma. Fun fact, she sang the famous Christmas song “Santa Baby” and released a ton of albums.
& RIP to Eartha Kitt. The voice of Yzma. So underrated. ❤
IKR I FRICKIN LOVE THE QUEEN OF HEARTS SO MUCH
She died recently? I thought that movie was ancient..rip
She also voiced grandma In garfeild.
They just don't make em like they used to
Ok, everybody knows that the Disney Hercules got a bunch of mythology wrong, and that hades wasn’t evil originally. But the funny thing is that they didn’t just make hades evil, they made him into Hera.
Hera hated all of zues’s children, she tried to kill baby Heracles multiple times (including sending 2 snakes after him) and she did at one point try to start a coup at mount Olympus.
Hera’s a girl boss (joking) but she’s actually a wonderful deity to work with and helped my family life
Actually you can change the backgroundfrom the underworld to olympus and swap all Hades scenes with an angry/hysterical Hera and it would work
@@KnoKei That is . . . disturbingly accurate. This needs to happen.
Didn’t zeus cheated multiple times on hera? i mean then i understand why she hates his children
@@charlotte.7124 yeah, I’m sure cheating justifies murdering children.
Being abused doesn’t give you the right to abuse others.
1:32 To be fair, Ursula shaking her fat bum while exclaiming “BAWDEE LANGUAGE” was pretty weird even in context.
BAWDEE BYYYE😩😩👋✨✨✨✨💫
Honestly the sudden zoom in on her face out of nowhere was 100% worth it for full effect of the scene
Body-ody-ody-ody-ody 🎶
JAHSJAHSJSHS IVE BEEN LAUGHTING FOR 10MINS STRAIGHT😭😭😭
And it was still funny regardless.
some of my favorite highlights:
- "is this an audience or a mosaic?"
- cruella driving. enough said.
- card soldiers scene TOP TIER
- captain hook's face when he shoots that pirate LMAO
- JOSÉ CARIOCA IN THE QUEEN OF HEART'S JURY???
- _"MS. HAAAADES!"_ 🌟💙
Now the card soldiers scene is a hallucination I'd like to have unlike the one with the elephants in Dumbo, that traumatized me as a child ans I'm pretty sure it set the basis of what I find scary and what I don't
Id say the card scene is top deck but not sure if that pun would go over well xD
What does mosaic mean?
@@cheyblake2475 it's kinda hard to explain what it is without using the word mosaic as the explanation hahah but it's like...have you ever seen a painting (it's not actually a painting since it's not made with paint) on a wall that's made out of tiny pieces of ceramics of different colors? That's a mosaic and they're mostly used to make representationa of greek gods, the different bible stories illustrations and things of that sort. The joke is that since it's a picture it doesn't move hence Ades' comment
@@ianagulino6653 oh ok
1:46 to be fair Alice in wonderland is really just an acid trip that someone wrote down
Haha it is
Canonically!

Acid wasn't invented yet
Almost literally tho 😅😅😅😅
Yup
5:12 I love how Jafar says _“Time to say goodbye to Prince Ali Ababwa.”_ so dramatically
But instead of saying Ali Ababwa he says A boo boo and ruins it
Jafar is a doctor trying to help Aladdin by comforting him that his ‘boo-boo’ will go away soon
PLS THE “ABOO BOO” DELIVERY WAS ON POINT 😭
Why is no one mentioning, “Pull the lever, Kronk!”
Wrong levarrrrrr!
Why did we even have that lever?

I like how despite how insignificantly everybody else seems to treat the king,( they forgot to announce the king's presence, and the soldiers stepping all over him) the Queen of Hearts genuinely seems to care about him and their marriage actually looks really happy and stable.
Well, as stable as anything with the Queen of Hearts can be.
The Queen’s “THaT’s vERy iMPoRtaNt!!!1!!” Is far funnier than it needed to be.

The whole exchange with the March Hare was hilarious. I'm surprised no one pointed out that the March Hare seems to be the only one who isn't afraid of the Queen, he even responds to her face with an attitude:
Queen: Nothing whatever!!??
March Hare: "NOTHING WHATEVER"!!!
Queen: ThaTS VeRY IMPorTanT!!
She doesn't even get angry at him for responding that way, she just brushes it off. (I'm starting to suspect she has some kind of respect for him)

It's never too late to re-live your own childhood.
He looks so disappointed and bored at the same time
dude, I thought he was about to point the gun at himself for a moment. i was so scared
I already have, I love it more than last time I watched it
Rewatched it yesterday and other than the obvious stereotypes, I actually liked it a lot more than when I was little
1:19: Still one of Yzma's best scenes.
Idk, when she's turned into a kitten and says: "Is this my voice!" I almost died of laughter haha

'' whoa is my hair out?'' - hades 5:22
Reminds me of the meme where a girl snatches someone elses wig and says "why did you do that?"
Funniest scene in Hercules.
They made Zeus out to be this "nice guy" when some knows what his really like, plus hades is actully a chill dude I like him a lot both disney and mythology 🙃
Yeah tho I hate how inaccurate it is, you gotta admit that movie was iconic. Also Hades and Meg CARRIED that movie hands down.

Especially Angelina Jolie's version
Maleficent is so pretty
Maleficent is fvcking gorgeous both original and Angelina version. Oh the way I would love to be her pillow princess.

3:01 is so ridiculously funny, her excitement after losing her shit kills me
0:51 “We must save the land from himself, but how?”
*”WaAUAauuu-“*
Disney's writers have seemingly always been really great at writing their villain characters; the combination of comedic and serious tones are well-mixed, without missing a beat scene to scene. The script writing, the animation, and the voice actors/actresses work so fluently together. It's very entertaining no matter how many times I watch, and we really do mean "iconic" when we say these characters are legendary and unforgettable.
Yeah. Except Hans. He sucks>:(
I wonder what you think of the last villain… Disney totally ruined him
They didn't though. Plus at least he ain't a twist villain lol@lysfranc8782
Cruella's face after she throws the bottle is absolutely hilarious.
"I was startled, but I'm too pissed off to show it!"
The lady's a psycho but she makes the movie🤷
5:03 Dude was drinking straight Everclear
What a moment LOL! 😂😂😂
I will never not love "prince a-boo-boo"
"NOTHING WHATEVER?!"
"NOTHING WHATEVER"
*"THAAAAT'S VERY IMPORTANT"*
idk this entire trial scene is just ace attorney on LSD 💀
I'm telling you! The March Hare is the only one not afraid of the Queen! He responded like that *to her face* and she doesn't even get slightly annoyed, she just ignores him to yell in another direction. It's like she knows he isn't afraid and respects him for it.
1:51 No joke, that must have taken a lot of concentration to animate correctly.
....How to silence your minions as a disney villain:
Most of them: Speak in an authoritative manner that its oppressive to them
Hook: With this flintlock, you're out of luck.
Rip to singing dude.
I'm staring to think Hook is the only Disney villain who has killed one (or more) of his minions, especially over something as petty as singing.
Seriously, has any other villain done the same thing?? I can't remember
(Jafar doesn't count. He did let that thief die in the cave but it was the CAVE that killed him directly, not Jafar by his own hand)
Jafar is like personified Scar. The design, the way he talks, his attitude, everything just reminds me of Scar. They’re literally the same character
True
Design wise, he's just great

You almost caused my oatmeal to spill right out of my nose!
Can we take a second to recognize the Queen and King of Hearts dynamic? Big, temperamental woman with a soft side for her sweet little dumpling husband, not to mention his patience and compliance with her needs/wants. I NEED MORE OF THIS!
Classic Disney villains: iconic, unforgettable, classic, amazingly drawn, gay coded, as a child their death scene filled me with satisfaction, surprisingly relatable as an adult, funny etc.
Modern Disney villains: mid or nonexistent.
Edit: did I start some arguments with my joke?... 😅
Ok but Hans from frozen is such a disappointment compared to the old Disney villains 🥲
The one modern 3D villain that holds up for me is Mother Gothel. That woman is pure unforgivable EVIL and it’s done so well and subtly at times that I’m always left speechless!!
Facilier is also SUPER fun and I’d count him as semi-modern!!
Get the odd impression they ‘learned’ how and why people were bigger fans of the villains than the protagonists, and went “lolno” instead of adjusting the protagonists accordingly.
or its a : What a Twist?!
@@alecLogan Yeah that's what they did with Frollo
4:48 Alice is just like “eh why not?”
0:57 The fact I was a child watching this and I'm nonchalant about it.
Me too, I realized that when I rewatched it.
Bro got shot by a flintlock. One hit wonder.
What sucks is as you get to be older you start to relate less to the heroes and more to the villains. "Miserable darling, as usual perfectly wretched!" I mean dang if that isn't me on a day to day basis.
YES
2:14 we stan a short king 💖
5:46 PLEASE I love him so much
I watched Alice in Wonderland and you’re right, it’s all out of context. As Korg said, “The only thing that makes sense, IS that nothing makes sense.”
Just like life 😂
2:49 Hot Wheels 😆
This whole video is a mood and I love it! The Captain Hook, Hades and the queen of hearts moments were my favorite.
3:35 that was such an animation flex back then
5:34 this gives me different vibes now that im watching it as an adult
Who else finds The king and Queen of Hearts relationship kinda adorable.
She seems to always bend her decisions for him or immediately calm down to listen to him.
I just find it adorable that they seem so different but she seems to really love him or value his opinion.
I also like to point out how in sleeping beauty it always made me curious when Fauna said “maybe she’s never been happy” or maybe no one’s been kind to her. Maybe that’s why maleficent is evil, always made me wonder if things were different.
0:09 That was actually pretty good.
"Is this an audience or a mosaic"
*5:09* That caught me off guard, I don't know why I found it so funny. XD
ISNHSHSJS I DID TOO
Yzma CRACKED ME UP as a kid 😂 when she tripped in the mud with her “best shoes”, got attacked by bugs, and when Kronk gasped at her face when he woke her up lmao
7:00 though 😍.
**THATS VERY IMPORTANT** 6:43
Jury, write that down. 😄
3:50 and 3:53 Love how Hades is just watching all this chaos unfold like he’s watching a sports game
Uhm... It's because that's exactly what heroes' (aka olympians and athletes) battles were for, back in ancient Greece. Actually, "heroes" back then weren't the modern concept of it, they really were like athletes and the military, so portraying it as a sport in Hercules is one of the FEW things that the movie got accurate
out-of-context is going through the infinite corridor the good way. I needed all of this.
Real ones know Hera was the real villain and Hades just had an unfortunate occupation
Greek mythology is great!
Hades knew he’d be the one doing the Underworld cause he’s much more levelheaded than his younger brothers.
3:45 That is a dragon. You can't tell me otherwise-
Yzma will be forever my favourite. She seems lika a crazy grandma. Cute but deadly.
4:43: When it comes to Croquet, it's a very eventful sport in Wonderland, so why wouldn't she see herself as a Sports Celebrity.
Hades is probably the one reason Hercules holds strong today. He’s so iconic and humorous that the movies sole focus is just him trying to kill Hercules and failing as well as mocking his attempts.
Don't forget Megara! Without her and Hades the film wouldn't be iconic at all 😂
I swear how did Cruella's bad driving not kill her
Ursula was one of my most scared of villain but looking back she was Iconic 😭🖐
5:13 the way he says it 😂😂😂😂😂
4:29
Daaaaaang Yzma you collllllllld 😅
2:10
BRUH WHY DOES TGE TEACHER FROM JOHNNY TEST LOOK LIKE HER💀💀💀😭😭😭
A male or female?
When Yzma said “Whelp, he ain’t getting any deader”…I hollered😂
Scar from the lion king is actually funny. I was expecting to see him in this but I still enjoyed the video. Very nice
Oh, he is In part two :) I dont know why I didn't put him here though.
1:11 Disney when they make a bad film
1:13
It's incredible how much character the animation gives the characters through their movement alone, you could legitimately watch a scene without any dialogue and understand what they are like just through their body language
Hades: Guys! Get your titanic rears in GEAR and kick some Olympian BUTT!
Pegasus: *Blows out hair*
Hades: Woah did my hair go out? 🤨😔
0:56 Been a while since I watched Peter Pan, I completely forgot that Hook just straight-up murders one of his crew because he was annoyed by his singing. Brutal.
6:36 Basically if we get a new movie revealed but no trailer is out (Like the Mario Movie)
Nice analogy! And accurate...
I miss this type of animations, certainly better than nowadays CGI
5:29 This part gets me all the time.
0:15 this fits me so well 😂😂
4:11 the swords make no sense here. Theyre on the wrong damn side xD
3:06

man its such a shame disney has kinda stopped making iconic villains like the renaissance era
2:38 WHEN YO MAMA BOLTING TOWARDS YOU WITH THE BELT
*PFFFFT*
It always annoy me seeing people go "Hades in Hercules is not accurate". Like bruh, it's an animated kids movie, not a scholarly accurate retelling of Greek mythology, a huge emphasis on the mythology part btw.
Hades/Persephone retellings are super popular now, but the dude is still at least a kidnapper.
@@Person1865 …at the orders of Zeus, according to the Homeric Hymn to Demeter.

2:54 is GOLD
Honestly the relationship between the Queen of Hearts and the King is kind of cute
Disney Hades is wrongly represented in so many ways, it’s unbelievable. Though I must say, the “excuse me” at 3:05 is great. Oh! And the “oh, Chuawa” at 5:54 was good too.
I swear jafar saying „prince abubu“ cracks me up every time
The "row for the ship" sequence used to leave me in hysterics as a kid. His voice, the flailing, smacking into the cave wall, and running from the crocodile just to smack into the wall again was a gag in itself. But the added insanity of the crocodile bulldozing through the whole lot would just have me cackling 😂
