This is legitimately one of the best movies I have ever had the pleasure of watching, and it would’ve run away with my favorite animated movie of 2014 if not for Big Hero 6.
@, it’s not like Shrek or the other past iconic Dreamworks films that have placed on the silver screen, but it’s still a great film to watch. Kinda like Road to El Dorado. It’s not perfect nor would be a meme farm, but it’s one of my favorite Dreamworks films that really deserves a sequel. It truly does.❤️
@, my only worry is that a sequel is usually a give or take on if the first had its moments, then the sequel won’t say the same. Take the Lego movie for example, or even the Croods.

I always thought Penny was a toxic type of a girl. She Bullies Sherman for him simply having a different father, gets him to disobey Peabody when Sherman showed her how to return in time, used him for information on how to start flying despite being told it is an unfinished model and should not be tried yet, forces Sherman to take control of the plane and fly, by nearly getting them both killed because Penny let go of the lever, gets all of them in trouble by acting like an Egyptian princess, without knowing anything of their traditions and almost signing up for a quick death should her "boyfriend" mysteriously die one day... if Mr. Peabody had not been with them, Penny would have committed the biggest mistake of her life. For anyone who says: "oh but she got Sherman to step out of his shell by making him brave and confident in his capabilities", yes BUT she changed Sherman in CRUEL and DAMGEROUS ways, when she could have done it using much more safer methods. No to mention, she is the type of a person to break one's spirit in the first place, just to rebuild them later. She broke Sherman by making fun of him in the beginning, in front of the whole school, by taunting him, embarrassing him, which results in Sherman not only biting her but also coming home and crying. The entire movie shows her egoistic side and I always thought Sherman could have done better in finding a girl. I mean, why her? Why Penny? Out of all the children. Is it because she is a blonde with blue eyes and ego higher than a giraffes neck? Because she acts like Diva? I never liked the ship. They could have been platonic friends at best.
Not to mention how she immediately tells Sherman about the fact that Miss Grungeon is going to take him away just because Peabody was upset with him for putting HIS LITERAL LIFE IN DANGER AND DESTROYING ONE OF THE FIRST FLYING MODELS ever made. She made Sherman so rude and arrogant, the whole talk of Sherman with Peabody while they were sliding into the blackhole was toxic to an immense extend. She didn't help Sherman 'grow', she turned him into someone who doesn't value Peabody until he had to lost him in Troy.
