I think the first live fire restaurant with a Michelin star is the "Ekstedt" in Stockholm. Opened in 2011, awarded with a Michelin star in 2013. So today in 2023 10 years ago.
No, it's Extebarri in Spain, won it in 2011. The owner also has trained other world-renowned chefs that started their own wood-fire kitchen, and a couple of those are in Australia.
A lot of interesting bites featured throughout the video. But I got a little distracted by the audio. An omni directional microphone is great for getting the ambience of the restaurant but with music playing a copyright strike could be lurking. The crosstalk when the rice dish was being prepped made me feel like I was eavesdropping on the next table. 😅 The gorgeous shot with the potato donut and big bokeh balls in the background had me wondering about the rest of your setup. Any chance we'll get a post on the community page about how you get such tasty images of the food you eat? 🤔
@@jennyfoodtravels You should, they are the first wood-fired MIchelin restaurant that has been operating for a while now. Chefs that has trained under Etxebarre has all started similar wood-fired kitchens. There's also another kitchen like this in Australia that won a star, the chef also trained under Etxebarre
I clicked on the video to see live-fire dishes. Instead I get a video of kindergartners playing with food that isn't even cooked. Completely unimpressed.

I'm still getting the hang of the audio stuff, but when it comes to filming, my go-to equipment is the Canon 5D Mark IV and the Sigma 24-70 2.8 lens
reminds me of etxebarre in Spain
Time to add that to my to try list!

Would think there’s a lot more meat dishes being live fire pit at their disposal
Osito's tasting menu changes seasonally and during my visit, it was a vegetarian-focused tasting menu
Ill stick to beans and rice 🇺🇲🇲🇽
that tortilla looks greasy and raw
I loved the tortilla! It's perfectly cooked with a beautiful fluffy texture!

Hardy carbon neutral.
Long-winded descriptions by servers always ruin the vibe
And get mugged when you leave
