I’ve had four different Toyota Seqouias in about a 5 year timeframe. Bought and sold the three 2wd First Gens and now I have a 4wd 2002. Bought for 2500 after a solid Southern California deal,! love them, Toyota guy
Thanks for sharing your video. Mr. Toyota hit grand slam with this first gen Tundra and Sequoia. I bought my 2002 white Limited 4wd Sequoia in 2012 with 120K on the odometer. It now has 250K. No issues so far.
That’s awesome! Thanks for watching. These things seem to last a good long while if they are maintained. We bought ours in 2019 I believe. They were definitely built to last.
Un excelente vehiculo, tengo una Sequoia 2002 RWD y es increible la calidad de todo el interior, la cantidad de espacio y lo suave y comoda que es. Un saludo!
You can get a solid metal rear hatch handle that will last after putting into plastic handles I have had the solid metal handle in for about 10 years now
My 04 sr5 4x4 is almost at 200k. I can attest to the aftermarket handle that attaches directly to the latch, did mine 2 weeks ago and its night and day on how much better that system is over the og rear hatch handle
The cargo area is smaller than the Suburban. We used to have one. I don’t know about a comparison with the Tahoe. I think it is nearly as long as a Suburban, but it seems to drive quite a bit smaller if you know what I mean. We have not had any problems with the four-wheel-drive system at all. We use it pretty frequently especially in the winter when there is snow. Thank you for watching!
Congrats! We love ours. I dread the day we will have to replace it. Good eyes on the Land Cruiser. We have a video on that as well. It is a 2001. ua-cam.com/video/wpDvGvFhg7A/v-deo.htmlsi=4BoBCrtGrQ5rV3Qp
Thank you for the kind words. I don’t think I can overstated how thankful we are to have stumbled across the Sequoia. We have greatly enjoyed owning it. Amy and I have always enjoyed getting out into the wilderness together and this is a great vehicle with which to do that! Thanks for watching!
I love my 02 she not the prettiest on outside but pretty great on inside . I purchased it with the traction lights on . No engine light though . Do you know of any troubleshooting tips to figure it out ? I did change the gas cap lol
Our Sequoia is the best vehicle we’ve ever owned. I’m glad you are enjoying yours. I’m not sure with regard to why the lights might be on. If you find out, let me know. I might need the info one day! Thanks for watching.
Im looking at buying one, i want to know how comfortable it is, how are the seats? Are there squeaks and rattles from the interior when youre going down the road?
We always found the seats to be very comfortable. Also, I would definitely say very few squeaks and rattles in the interior. At least compared to our suburban we used to own.
I've had mine for 7 years. It has 360+k miles on it. The only rattle is when the 3rd row is cliped in and no one is sitting in them. Folding them up or removing them solves that. Sunroof squeaks a bit when it's open. I put adhesive felt on the bumpers of the hatch and that quieted a rattle. Also put small squares of felt under the arm rest lid. Otherwise, it's tomb quiet. The Sequoia is my family's road trip car of choice. Seats are like a couch and people are asleep quickly. Even the driver's seat with my big American butt on it for 100k miles is still hanging in there.
Why is the 4x4 on again? Nothing you drove through looked like it needed it. Lol I've had 2 of these. One a 4x4 and one a 2wd. 270k on the 2nd one. Great daily that never used oil or leaked anything. I wasn't used to it coming from jeeps n Chevys 😂. Great trucks👍
Because anytime you have four-wheel-drive on, it makes you feel like a superhero! Ha ha. I know what you mean. We drove suburbans and Chevy vans for years. I am thankful I don’t have to work on this one as much! Thanks for watching!
@@BurtonAZ only negative to the 4.7 V8, the starter is under the intake. If it ever goes out, it's not a simple job. But the starters in these are pretty robust
We have Bielstein 4600s on the back. Thanks for watching! If you have any other questions, let me know. We really like that shocks that we have. The fronts are Bilstein 5100s on the second notch to level the truck a little bit.
Thanks for watching! We sure enjoy ours. How many miles are on it? Not that that really matters most of the time. These things seem to be very reliable for a very long time.
It was before the prices went way up. I think it was somewhere around 4 or 5 thousand. You might be able to find them for that now for all I know. We just keep fixing this one up.
They are great trucks, I’ve had an 04 sr5 2wd with 235k and now I have an 01 limited 4WD with 160K. Thanks for the video!
Congrats on the 4wd with so few miles! The system seems very effective on the trail. Thanks for watching.
Great family. You made me smile when your wife showed up. Sequoia is the most underrated SUV
Thanks for watching. I agree that it is still underrated. We started out looking at Honda Pilots. So glad we found the Sequoia instead!

Wow! That’s low miles! We would’ve gotten a Sequoia a long time before we did if we would’ve known how good they are. Thanks for watching!
I love my '06 Sequoia. Best vehicle I've ever had.
The 06 had a five speed transmission, right? Also more horsepower. Those are great!
@@BurtonAZ It does. And I love the 100 series LC you have. Beautiful vehicles.

Getting ready to get one with 340k miles 🤞🏻
That’s awesome! Is it a 2001 like ours? Be sure to check the frame before purchase. Other than that have a great time with it!
