    Look at all those sweet first gens. Warms my heart. Wonder if there are any Sequoia meets on the East Coast? Don't know what we'd do, though, sit in traffic? Maybe West Virginia or the Smokies would be good.

      I hear you my wife always drives the Sequoia and I drove my truck but we just bought a Highlander for her it’s a little shorter to get her mom in the car I took over the Sequoia went and had the exhaust done first thing my wife says is you ruined my truck I’ll have to post a video of the exhaust needs a little more work though

    Like your video! Seriously thinking about getting a 1st gen. I like the relatively smaller size for the capability. Big family and I want something reliable with the ability to overland and take young kids off roading in SoCal, especially OC. Thanks again for showing us what the 1st gen can do, as well as the community of Sequoia owners. Really cool to know

    We have a sequoia And the Chevy Silverado we just got my wife a new Toyota Highlander used new to us so I decided to take over the Sequoia and drive it for my daily driver and sell my Silverado because I always drive it anyway

    You can get a good first generation one for around $4000. They are good for 500,000 miles or more. Best value vehicle out there IMO. Maybe worth the extra hassle of buying one from a dry southern state, that way no rust issues.

    My 2007 first gen sequoia only has rear wheel drive but it has an ARB locker. Do you think I can hang with you guys?

      There’s more and more stuff coming out for them and a lot of the tundra stuff works on them too. Definitely a good platform.

    I miss my 1st gen Sequoias I previously owned. My 2nd gen has not done me wrong but the 1st gens were just smoother.

    I think that having a Sequoia would be fun but gas for these SUVs are kind of an issue, especially if they are 4WD because these things can cost a lot of money when it comes to gas but other than that, these things are good at towing and good for reliability

      Yea they definitely love to drink gas lol not gas efficient at all I get about 13 MPG

      My old xj on 35s gave me 10mpg city /13ish highway. And most offroad jeeps get below 14mpg. Imo, you have the v8 so you actually have power and can tow confortable compared to other vehicles.

      What you spend in gas you make up for in lack of regular repair cost because toyota. And these trucks have a 2wd setting.

    You can get Good milage just keeping them stock height stock wheels, maye all season tires and wider rims for the looks, no roof rack , good maintenance and gas milage is not bad.. of course you start lifting and heavy tires etc definitely gonna eat gas.
