Note: it would seem Meridian has since updated its website, whereby the 400-watt system comes with 12 and not 13-speakers!

I'm driving the Disco Sport P200 SE model as a replacement for our 2016 Sport, and the base sound system on the 2020 is absolutely terrible at high volume, to the point where it's actually ruining the driving experience, compared to the very good base sound in the 2016 Sport it's a night and day difference.
The Bass is virtually non-existent at high volume on the p200 SE, and even under 30mph with low cabin noise it just doesn't get loud enough without compromising the audio.
If you're reading this and have the choice, get the Meridian over the base system.

Difficult to tell over UA-cam but the stock system sounded ok to me using headphones. Personally given a digital stereo input signal I’d rather spend the additional money required to upgrade to the meridian system instead on a home hifi product and listen to music at home with a beer or glass of wine while not driving. To me car stereo is a secondary music system not a primary way to consume music so as long as it’s ok then that is enough. Indeed I’d also rather spend the money on something like a bigger engine than a stereo as the primary reason for a car is for it to drive well. The best sound a car can make is not from speakers but from the engine exhaust tyres while you hammer it full pelt out of a junction down winding rural road. :-)

      I completely disagree.
For a car in this class, even as your secondary audio system it's just not good enough.
If you heard a song on the radio for the first time in this car, you wouldn't want to go home and listen to it with a beer as it completely ruins the experience.
