I'm curious about the cornstarch...are you sure it's not powdered sugar? Wouldn't cornstarch taste horrible? I want to make this!
Also, does '10 min in an unheated oven' mean no preheating? My oven takes almost 5 minutes to get to temperature and I don't think these would be baked..help!
I haven't tried this recipe yet, but the sounds from the beginning imply that it is cornstarch, which probably helps with the whole freezing thing so they don't stick and since sugar could become gross with condensation. As for the oven temp, it may be better to test out baking one unheated, because i think they might be using a convection oven? not sure. It's probably better to be cautious anyways

Bonjour je l’ai fait il y a quelques jour la fécule de maïs on le sent pas vous pouvez en mettre sans problème. En revanche pour le fou non préchauffer j’ai d’abord cuit 11min mais l’intérieur était cru j’ai rajouter 10 min de cuisson sauf que ça ne ressemblait plus au beignet de la vidéo

I am confused about the part where it says bake in a NON preheated oven at 180ᵒC for 11 minutes…that isn’t even remotely enough time to heat to that temperature? Is it so the oven gradually gets hotter while the bread is baking? Even so, after 11minutes the temperature is not THAT hot though, right? Surely not hot enough to fully bake a bread roll or even a tiny pancake.
Am I foolishly missing something here? Haha
I actually came to the comments to see if it was a mistake in the translation. Surely it meant pre-heat oven??? I hope someone can explain this to us because I’d really like to give this recipe a try!

That's a totally Jewish & Israeli "sufganiya" recipe, but with strawberry jem originally (you can put any filling there, you know), that are made for Jewish Hanukkah by Jews all around the globe FOR CENTURIES!!! No way you didn't know that recipe! And you don't use cornstarch, but a powdered sugar, and you put it in the end, not before you bake it. Cornstarch will taste horrible! It has nothing to do with Japanese or Korean "unique food ideas". Nothing "unique" here. It just "korean style" sufganiya, nothing more. But of caurse, you don't mention orinals around the globe, that you take ideas from. 😒

Just an fyi for ballers that are novices. You can add a pinch more flour! Just a little bit at a time if it’s too sticky. It should be soft and smooth and not stick to you board or big daddios mat. Then let rest for 20 mins once you’ve laundry folded that dough for awhile lol
