Can it handle more then 250 watt rms ? The 8 inch ? Done a sound, db test on it ? I'm around 134, db on my bike. Got the pro exl84. Rms at 400. Want louder
Have you tried the Cerwin Vega PH84? Crossed over at 300hz ive heard that theyll handle a real 500w rms+ and begin at a wild 103db @1w1m. Impressed with your current claims of SPL
People like them on bikes because they’re pro audio mid ranges with a built in tweeter. So they’re loud and no need for a separate location for a tweeter. These are also perfect for cars if you prefer loud over sound quality. Ds 18 hybrids still sound great but they aren’t gonna sound as good as a normal car audio coaxial.
@jeff what power/how you wiring it up? Ohms/watts/etc. I'm looking to buy 4 of the shallow ones and 2 of the water proof ones
Can these speakers be used as replacement in a vehicle... say a 05 yukon?
You might need a spaceer
@@DS18Sound can I use the spacers that come with the 6 1/2s
@@DS18Sound thank you for responding

So these are for bikes and aren’t meant for cars?

So in a roadglide that the speakers are tilted up water proofing the speakers are not needed? Bad decision.
