The thing with the way Cole talks is that, I've met a lot of people like that, the pretentious intellectualoid college student that thinks is better than anyone else cause they're "smart" and have this constant need to pick and choose every word they say instead of talking like a normal fucking dude, it's really common in the humanities and with debatelords, reminds me of Jordan Peterson a bit

He sounds so pretentious that is also what makes it so easy to tell Cole and Dylan apart because Dylan acts like a normal guy while Cole is like I'm an Actooorr and wants to be taken seriously
Choosing words carefully and using flowery language and imagery doesn't even have to be a problem or feel fake, but his particular word choice makes what he is trying to say hard to figure out which is the worst part of it for me since it is on a podcast which means ideally one is supposed to be communicating ideas clearly.

To be fair to Liam ( at around 15:44 ) I have a coworker who's daughter has to get approval to read fiction because she'll subconsciously immulate the main characters and it has gotten her in trouble before. Some people just have a connection to characters in media like that.
Yes, I agree, I was gonna mention my niece will tell me about a movie she’s watching/watched, and tell me the story but instead of the actual characters will tell it like it was her and her brother.. so this is def a thing 😅
I have to say for a child, it is pretty standard to imitate characters on a show or movie. I use to walk outside and use a stick as lightsaber and act like a Jedi. Create my own story in my head and the whole nine yards. However that stopped when I was 10 or maybe 12 years old? Liam Payne is a 30 something year old with a kid. There’s a big difference between children/teenagers doing that and an adult doing it.

I think it’s normal to get inspired by movies. Two personal examples I can remember is after the watching the social network for the first time I spent the next few months learning to code and after watching the wolf of Wall Street for the first time I was super inspired to get into investing and trading but that fizzled out very fast. I think movies can def inspire changes in yourself.

If you look up Miranda story there's many different versions, some stories claim it was a few houses down from hers and others say she said she was at her moms, while here she said she was on a date. Might not be fully real which would explain why shes so nonchalant
well she said she went on a date and then went to her parents after the date, so thats the same.
You clearly didn’t watch it. But it’s also normal for details to change in a true story when told over and over. In fact, if every detail was always the same, it COULD point more towards her lying, but also could just be a sign of it being a deep trauma where the details are still pretty vivid to her.
