@@sprolyborn2554 Here in California I believe theres no "Season" for Tuna fishing. I know Josh Lives in FL so I dont know the regulations there. In the past 10 years the tuna population has dropped 97%... Look it up
Great video Josh! We weny Out on our 35 foot boat and hooked one between 800 and 900 lbs 25 miles offshore.He ripped our gunnel off, took 4 men to hold it down and keep it from flying away. Broke him off right by the boat, but it didn’t matter because we got leader and we were going to release the giant anyway.

@@jjsfishing8226 Their mortality after catch and release is only around 4% according to a fairly recent paper published in 2011, every additional 2 and a half minutes of fight time after ~30min(the mean fight time of 60 fish caught) minutes increase the mortality % by an additional 1%. So it really depends how long Josh fought this fish and how much time they spent reviving it. By the looks of it, they didn't spend enough time reviving the fish by the side of the boat, and chances are it was crushed by those mako sharks that were swimming around under the boat.
