rewatching this a year after release and just wanna say I'm so happy Josh is doing better, we were and are all rooting for him and it warms my heart to see him back
Watched everyone of the originals. GREAT too watch them again. I learn sooooo much from this cast its unreal. Josh and Jake. THANK YOU!!! Hands down the best vids ever.
Hey Blacktiph team, yall have the best fishing content anywhere. I often hear you talking about getting spooled by a big fish. Have you ever actually gotten spooled by a giant that breaks you off at the bottom of your line, taking all of your line with it?
It’s illegal to keep them, especially in Florida because of their rarity. Unfortunately not all are released 😢 this is why guys like this should keep an eye on other fishermen
I remember watching that sawfish video and I must say that you are definitely a true fisherman... that thing was definitely not 17ft lol... awesome stuff tho 👏
I’d say 12 feet tops. Nowhere near 17. But an amazing animal and experience. Its easy to see how an experience like that gives way to exaggeration though, with the excitement and fear and awe. It’s probably why they ask to actually measure it and not guess.
Please do more of this recap content because I had forgotten how AMAZING some of your catches are! A saw fish!? Come on...God provided you with absolutely riveting content.
I love you blackTipH you where my inspiration for everything, thanks for everything. I saw you catch a Goliath grouper and something clicked inside of me. Now I’m a fishing addict
super cool vid man I hope you get better and get cured from cancer! I am supporting you and I hope you recover because ur an amazing person an amazing youtuber and an amazing fisherman ! 😁🎣
That encounter with the saw would definitely be not easily forgotten! My best oddity was hooked not caught, it was a shovel nose shark I’d caught dozens over the years but of a different species to a maximum length of 6 feet but one night rock fishing a well lit harbour breakwater I saw one at least 10 feet long glide right past the very rock I was standing on it had me scaling the rocks in a flash and as I did I spotted another one closer to 15-20 feet in length and conveniently it inhaled my mackerel and slowly swam away and nothing I did could change it’s mind using all the might of my 2kg of drag I just couldn’t stop itI
I was beach fishing in the surf off the back of my buddies truck with a heavy Deepwater rig. I had propped the rod base into the crack between the tailgate and bed while it was down. It hooked up on my herring and ripped all the line off my drag in seconds then busted the base of my rod off with a snap gone into the surf. I couldn't even imagine what was so massive and fast to do that.
No you can't throw a flying fish and expect it to act like a paper plane. But I had the occasion to witness hundreds of flying fish in the water off of Guam from a small boat. It was about a 30 foot fishing boat trolling for marlin. The flying fish emerged, from the tops of waves, that were on swells and they do go very fast. They do not flap their fins but rather, they glide. They seemed to glide from about 50 feet to about a quarter mile. The altitude achieved was about up to 100 feet above the water, most much lower.
Cant wait till my man josh is back and in full action, I know he's going to come out of this like the warrior he is. My prayer's are with you and your family, you got this brother
We used to catch paddlefish (not by intent) in the Wisconsin River just above Sauk City when fishing for muskies. They were big, and actually jumpers. They were protected, and we turned them loose right away.
Great video :) One thing I would like to mention, the scorpion fish is not that dangerous, if it does sting you, your hand will swell up and won't last longer than 30 minutes.
Thanks- I'd suggest you try 200+# Tarpon, they actually go over 300# off the West coast of Africa, Off the coast of So Padre Is Texas there are reported to go 200++
Now that's fishing! That guitar shark and that really big one I can't remember the name of....with the spikes on the side/lower side......just amazing footage guys! Just what I expect from Blacktip. God what I wouldn't do to come with you guys for some real fishing....
That was awesome but a tribute to Josh and what he stands for. Josh we are continuing to pray for your recovery but continue to fight hard. We are at your side in this fight. Love you 😘🙏🏻👮🏻🙏🏻💙
I caught a saw fish back in the '70's. I was 14 years old at the time. I'm 63 now so you do the math for the year. Caught it just east of Punta Gorda Fla in the Peace River. Measured 6' 7". The "saw" was 18". Didn't weigh it. Love your channel.
He's not kidding about the strength of stingrays! I caught a few small ones in Apalachicola... At only about a foot -20" across, they were some of the hardest fighting fish I've ever caught!
Love the video! I grew up fishing in Florida! One thing, I don’t thing you are allowed to release the clownfish since they are invasive. Use them for bait next time.
Wow! You guys caught some really cool fish. The 3rd fish looked dangerous as all get out! The 4th one was cool but I've never seen that before. The ray was beautiful and I've heard of flying fish but never saw one. They're beautiful. All together you guys caught awesome fish and you had a great time. Prayers and well wishes for Josh. Thanks for an awesome video ❤️
The 4th fish was a white sturgeon there's several types of sturgeoj, but it's just one of them,wr got them in rivers where I'm at they are monstrous fish
Man that 440 looks so damn awesome ripping through the water!! So happy for all this new content! Just absolutely love the videos and always put a smile on my face!

@@Caleb_Merceano it wont
Can you explain what actually happened to him?
Glad to hear things went well. His passion for fishing is 2nd to none!
Sawfish are truly awesome and I love every time these specimens get released. I wish all sports fishermen did the same.
It’s illegal to keep them, especially in Florida because of their rarity. Unfortunately not all are released 😢 this is why guys like this should keep an eye on other fishermen
3:10 giving them hella eyeballed guessing numbers lol
I remember watching that sawfish video and I must say that you are definitely a true fisherman... that thing was definitely not 17ft lol... awesome stuff tho 👏
Body looked about 9 - 10ft plus the saw which is probably 5 - 6ft so 17ft was a pretty close estimate
I’d say 12 feet tops. Nowhere near 17. But an amazing animal and experience. Its easy to see how an experience like that gives way to exaggeration though, with the excitement and fear and awe. It’s probably why they ask to actually measure it and not guess.

Super cool to have seen Josh catch another sawfish after losing a huge one a few years back.
That encounter with the saw would definitely be not easily forgotten! Can’t stand the squealing, like a friggin’ little girls tea party !
I ate a sawfish back in '93 & it tasted exactly like wood. Apparently, all they ever eat are sunken canoes, lost oars & broken water ski's....
Thanks for sharing. Wishing you a speedy recovery Josh
Respect for how you handle caught fish and put them back !
I wonder if you can throw a flying fish like a paper airplane

The flying fish are amazing animals. Watching it glide into his hand on the line was one of a kind
Great to hear your doing better! My favorite was the eagle ray, then the saw, my all time favorite episode still is the monster saw on spin
Great video :)

I like that the flying fish and that tree in the background of your last video. It's really cool.
That sawfish was so cool! And I love that you called in to make sure of the best way to handle the fish! 👏👏👏👏👏👏
5:55 that’s a sturgeon, probably one of my favorite fish. It is giant but it’s not named “giant fish”
Glad to hear your surgery went well Josh, fantastic fishing videos!
The collection I needed! Love the biodiversity 😎

The stingray was so cool.
This is the best compilation video I've ever watched. I thought the hound fish was really cool.
My favorite was the sturgeon and the release. The next was the paddle fish also releasing her.
Definitly the sawfish just like a giant dinosaur
Great job releasing the sawfish, guys!!!
Outstanding video. I don’t think I’ve seen any of the fish you caught. I liked the one with the three fins. Well done.
