I literally bumped into Thom Yorke in 2003 in a charity shop doorway in Oxford. We did the little synchronised left-right, no you go first shuffle. He was very short and looked pretty annoyed by the interaction. I fucking loved it.
I saw Thom Yorke in a grocery store in LA today. I told him how cool it was to meet him in person, but I didn't want to be a douche and bother him and ask him for photos or anything. He said, "Oh, like you're doing now?" I was taken aback, and all I could say was "Huh?" but he kept cutting me off and going "huh? huh? huh?" and closing his hand shut in front of my face. I walked away and continued with my shopping, and I heard him chuckle as I walked off. When I came to pay for my stuff up front I saw Thom trying to walk out the doors with like fifteen Milky Ways in his hands without paying. The girl at the counter was very nice about it and professional, and was like "Sir, you need to pay for those first." At first he kept pretending to be tired and not hear her, but eventually turned back around and brought them to the counter. When she took one of the bars and started scanning it multiple times, he stopped her and told her to scan them each individually "to prevent any electrical infetterence," and then turned around and winked at me. I don't even think that's a word. After she scanned each bar and put them in a bag and started to say the price, he kept interrupting her by yawning really loudly.

Thom York is definitly a gifted muscian, one of the best musicians ever and it's easy to see how much he contributed to radiohead. He's a real gift to our world and a reminder for everyone how importent it is accepting human beings since Thom himself has a small handycap.
Thom Yorke and The Radioheads are surely a certainty for Best Newcomers 2018. You can hear how much they were influenced by Coldplay and Muse in most of their songs.

Calin Petrescu that’s actually clever. Imagine if after 10 views of the same video it allows you to click ‘love’ and after 50 views it allows you to click ‘obsessed’ I must be on over 50 views on this video.
Thom yorke doesn’t make particular musical genre. Thom Yorke is a musical genre. Bravo! Genius! The remake looks great with that cast and your brain in the soundtrack is... Oh dear! 😍
I've always believed the piano was where Thom really was the most beautiful and creative sometimes in the simplest of ways. Pyramid Song, Like Spinning Plates, Codex to name a few. Sit Down Stand Up is masterful.. to be able to sing like that and still keep the piano in rhythm with the electronic beat is otherworldly. One of my all time favorite songs, and one of Radioheads most underrated as well.
The first and only song I've ever found that has me inconsolably sobbing every time, I can't hold back the tears at all. The melody both nurturing and yet somehow unscrupulous. Coincided, by design, to convey terror and comfort. Great movie, and the soundtrack is the beating heart stitched into the whole endeavor.
Thom helps me feel feelings I've never felt before or havent felt in ages. It's like being in love, but deeper, stronger. And then again its not, its a walk through a forest you've never walked. Theres a surprise behind every tree.
This is my first introduction to Thom Yorke.. I'm almost paralysed by it. A fan of Bjork, Siouxsie Sioux, Crystal Castles, The Legendary Pink Dots, The Doors, The Cure, Led Zepellin and Pink Floyd..and too much more.. Where have I been lol? Just glad I made it. Magnetically Magestic on the ears and soul.
Atari Harikari LoL with all those other bands how have you not heard Radiohead. Cool bands btw Pink Floyd and The Doors are the best. Check out hearing damage by Thom Yorke
I can't believe... 6 years. I remember going to cinema to watch Suspiria. I wasn't in a good mental shape and this song just hit me through my soul. Now i feel better, the dark days are gone but everytime i stumble upon this song it's on a loop. I feel the pain i felt back then, and strangely i enjoy that pain. It takes me back to the dark autumn morning, rainy streets with the faint smell of kebab stall and people rushing to the metro station to work
Blake Stebbe it's funny because I wrote it that way initially, but my computer didn't recognize the spelling. I then looked it up only to find out that apparently there are several spellings of the word. You learn something new every day
I don't think he'd care actually. Radiohead just got inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame and they just went "lol k" They're really not doing this for prizes and I think that speaks volumes on what good musicians really strive for in life
@Jim Bob The powers that be talk about "Shallow" from "A Star is Born" as a shoe-in to win. But it sounds so generic, indistinct and imperfect compares to anything any member of Radiohead has come up with for 24 years.
Completely underrated song, completely underrated film. Very disappointed by the low reviews on IMDB etc., this film is fantastic (so long as you can find subtitles).

This is up with the top tier of his solo stuff like Analyse, The Clock, and Guess Again
raw n real
This made me tear up and I don't know if because I'm sad, happy or just mesmerized. Thom Yorke you amazing beast.
ok i will not cry
*cries*
(Suspirium Lyrics)
This is a waltz thinking about our bodies
What they mean for our salvation
With only the clothes that we stand up in
Just the ground on which we stand
Is the darkness ours to take?
Bathed in lightness, bathed in heat
All is well, as long as we keep spinning
Here and now, dancing behind a wall
When the old songs and laughter we do
Are forgiven always and never been true
When I arrive, will you come and find me?
Or in a crowd, be one of them?
Wore the wrong sign back beside her
Know tomorrow's at peace
Ha
what they mean for our *starvation?
Thank you so much for these lyrics x.
@@Didhedieded0
Agree it is definitely Starvation
Also... I think:
Laughter we hear (does sound a bit like 'do' but that doesnt make sense)
One with them
While the walls are back beside her
I think last line could be 'No tomorrows' . Depends on context of the previous line.
Killigan you are correct it is salvation.
Thom York is definitly a gifted muscian, one of the best musicians ever and it's easy to see how much he contributed to radiohead. He's a real gift to our world and a reminder for everyone how importent it is accepting human beings since Thom himself has a small handycap.
The best thing about thom yorke’s music is that ..everytime you listen to a song.. it gets better n better
Damn this Thom Yorke kid is about to blow up
I dunno, he'll never break the American audience ;)
I heard the band he is in are not bad aswell...wonder if they make it in the charts
Thom Yorke and The Radioheads are surely a certainty for Best Newcomers 2018. You can hear how much they were influenced by Coldplay and Muse in most of their songs.
theyve made it in the charts since 1995. also several awards for almost every album they've put out in their career.
not luci, the autism is strong in this one. Welcome to your own little world of not getting the joke.
Music (for a film)
Supposedly this is literally going to be the exit music (for this film)
@@galacticgam3r105 If this is the music that ends "Suspiria", then it is going to be just as heartwrenching as "Visions of Gideon" was at the climax of "Call Me by Your Name".
literally
Hermoso como siempre
I'm using this in a tribute video for my grandpa who just passed
Most gifted musician to ever grace the earth, unfortunately it'll take for him to meet his maker before the world realises....but we'll have him a while longer thankyou very much 😌
nah ,m ever since he dropped music for others to hear we where a bunch understanding he had tapped into an important almost wordless worldore . its a true artist as you say others will realize too! hopefullly while thriving alive
"keep dancing, it's beautiful"
edit: everytime i remember this scene, i instantly get chills, it's one of the main inspirations for me to become an film-maker
Thank god for Thom Yorke is all I can say.
There's no God, only Us and our Art. And Thom is one of the few who truly incarnates it
We really need the LOVE button for situations like this.
Calin Petrescu that’s actually clever. Imagine if after 10 views of the same video it allows you to click ‘love’ and after 50 views it allows you to click ‘obsessed’
I must be on over 50 views on this video.
I am 100% obsessed with it too and not ashamed to admit it. It is just too fking beautiful!
Calin Petrescu haha. Still coming back for more? Addictive!
@86Rikki Your idea is very beautiful! UA-cam's staff, read him!!
Yes. I love it so much it actually hurts.
Un des plus grands musiciens, chanteurs, danceurs… deTOUS Les TEMPS : THOM YORKE. All my respect / Tout mon respect. Merci de votre Art.
Came from Raw and Real Podcast😁
I've listened to this almost every day since it was released, Thom really can't go wrong.
me too, just came to say this
Did you watch Suspiria yet? Kind of weird listening to a soundtrack of a movie you haven't watched...but ive done that too if im being honest.
Same here best song of 2018
Me too. Its like classical music. Puts me in a good mood. Just breath and relax and listen.
This man is a gift.
Thom yorke doesn’t make particular musical genre.
Thom Yorke is a musical genre.
Bravo! Genius! The remake looks great with that cast and your brain in the soundtrack is... Oh dear! 😍
I am totally agree with you.
“All is well, as long as we keep spinning” God i love this part. Those lyrics and the way he sang them ❤️
Legitimately one of the most beautiful opening credits sequences I’ve ever seen
sounds instantly familiar, i love it
The flute reminds me of Romeo and Juliet
Exactly
_There's something special and magical about this song. Addicted since the first listen._

Thom Yorke never fails to make a impact on my thoughts. His music is so meaningful and I just feel everything.
He has a way of being so powerful, and yet gentle at the same time. It’s such a unique quality.
Videotape
Have never heard sit down on piano...
Tortuosit of Tapiola Thom is playing piano in the song. Listen carefully you'll hear it. It's brilliant.
+tortoisit search thom york ingenue on Jonathan ross
Last flowers, ingenue, analyse...
I already listened to this song about 45 times.
rauf hesenov per day?
No, i am not maniac. Just for 4 days 45 times
It's not enough times
The first and only song I've ever found that has me inconsolably sobbing every time, I can't hold back the tears at all. The melody both nurturing and yet somehow unscrupulous. Coincided, by design, to convey terror and comfort. Great movie, and the soundtrack is the beating heart stitched into the whole endeavor.
This was my favorite lockdown tune
Can honestly say I would never choose to live in a time when I can't experience Thom's art as it releases.
The future would be okay, but I would definitely not want to die before this song came out. Poor Bowie.
No Oscar nominee? THIS SONG WAS ROBBED. Fu*king masterpiece.
#agree ...
I think it will be nominated next year
Better than Shallows in my opinion
@@44darkness16
But Mary Poppins got nominated and it's realease was later than Suspiria
@@an.s.7930 fuck the oscars. Im not watching. Last year how did The Shape in Water won ? Seriously best film ?
Just when you think this song can't get more beautiful the flute comes in..........
I really don't know why but this is the first time I listened to this song all the way through... I'm blown away. This is stunning.
Thom helps me feel feelings I've never felt before or havent felt in ages. It's like being in love, but deeper, stronger. And then again its not, its a walk through a forest you've never walked. Theres a surprise behind every tree.
Epic fail at trying to sound more profound than you really are

This is my first introduction to Thom Yorke.. I'm almost paralysed by it.
A fan of Bjork, Siouxsie Sioux, Crystal Castles, The Legendary Pink Dots, The Doors, The Cure, Led Zepellin and Pink Floyd..and too much more.. Where have I been lol? Just glad I made it.
Magnetically Magestic on the ears and soul.
Atari Harikari LoL with all those other bands how have you not heard Radiohead. Cool bands btw Pink Floyd and The Doors are the best. Check out hearing damage by Thom Yorke
do you know " everyboby's been burnt " by The Byrds?
Welcome to the thom Yorke appreciation society
Atari, welcome to the wonderful world of Yorke and Radiohead. So much to discover. Enjoy!!
Hearing Damage is another one of his best songs, imo.
It takes me back to the dark autumn morning, rainy streets with the faint smell of kebab stall and people rushing to the metro station to work
Raw and Real Read
As a flutist, I am incredibly pleased to hear some flute featured in this song. Love you Thom
Creeper Queendom do you mean flautist?
Blake Stebbe it's funny because I wrote it that way initially, but my computer didn't recognize the spelling. I then looked it up only to find out that apparently there are several spellings of the word. You learn something new every day
But it's written correctly
thought the same- did research, got schooled. Flutist is also (more, in fact) correct.
Man, I really hope he gets an Oscar nod and win. He deserves it so much.
Lullalies he dont need oskars he got talent enough, more then all members off the akademy
he already got the best original song award for a film from venice.
I don't think he'd care actually. Radiohead just got inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame and they just went "lol k"
They're really not doing this for prizes and I think that speaks volumes on what good musicians really strive for in life
@Jim Bob The powers that be talk about "Shallow" from "A Star is Born" as a shoe-in to win. But it sounds so generic, indistinct and imperfect compares to anything any member of Radiohead has come up with for 24 years.
he's got what he deserves...the art. -_-
I have been listening to your music since 13. I am now 37 and I still love you the most.
a song that captured the whole suspiria vibe. thom is a genius
Completely underrated song, completely underrated film. Very disappointed by the low reviews on IMDB etc., this film is fantastic (so long as you can find subtitles).
I agree...a true Masterpiece. You really need no subtitles even.
This is from the remake which was in English not the originals.
It's a good film but nothing compared to the original
@@raphdop4954 it's a billion times better than the original which has no substance it's just music and fun house lights and that's it. All of Argento's stuff is garbage. I honestly don't even know why he's famous. He's uwe boll mixed with m. Night Shyamalan
@@raphdop4954 I actually liked this better then the original. In a Press Conference the film actors said it was a Cover, similar to when a band does a cover of a fav band. Its meant to not be exactly identical. I'm glad they made this cover!
Thank you Thom
Your music makes us breathe
Thank you for sharing your loneliness
Gracias Thom por dar al mundo esta canción!!!
Y gracias Vicky por dar a luz nuevamente.
i was walking home while it was snowing heavily tonight and i came across this piece. hearing "all is well, as long as we keep spinning" line made me feel a lot of things at once.
Hi I recommend a song and video called 'Looking Into The Mirror' By Robert Nix
Can’t stop listening to this
Check out the film it was written for. This scene is incredible.
Jay Robb I need to! The closest theater that’s showing it is an hour away and I haven’t had the chance yet.
