    BOQUETE
    Boquete (not easy to pronounce, so please excuse pronounciation), is a District of the Chiriqui Province in Panama located on the North of the Chiriqui Province, in the Western side of the country. Boquete is situated about 60 kilometres from the border of Costa Rica and lies on the Caldera River, in Panama's green mountain highlands. Because of its elevation, some 1,200 metres (3,900 ft) above sea level, its climate is cooler than that of the lowlands. Its scenic location, temperature, and natural environment make it popular with Panamanians and attracts tourists and retirees from all over the world.
    The capital lies at the city of Bajo Boquete. The population of Boqute, according to the 2010 census, was 22 435 and District covers a total area of 488.4 kilometers.
    Boquete is divided into the following administrative areas:
    Alto Boquete;
    Bajo Boquete;
    Caldera;
    Jaramillio;
    Los Naranjos;
    And; Palmira
    Our Channel is all about Panama, our move to Panama and the beauty of this Country.
    We will be featuring individual stories of people that have immigrated to Panama including their struggles prior to arrival and their thoughts and views on Panama. Not "interview style" although a short video clip of couples discussing their move will be awesome.
    We will be covering a multitude of aspects such as the immigration process into Panama, Businesses in Panama, Business Profiles, Rentals, Resorts and Places to stay in Panama, Animals & Plants in Panama, Different Areas in Panama, Building in Panama, Shops in Panama and many more.
    Of course this is really the backdrop to our story as we have bought land in Panama and will let you follow us on the entirety of the build and setting up our homestead. Please subscribe and be a part of our journey. We welcome you to send us your story, business info, any videos or media that you may have that we may use in our Channel.
    We were so blessed with many people sending us so many images and video clips to choose from and, unfortunately, we couldn't use them all, and we don't want to name the people who contributed in case we leave someone out as we appreciate every single person that contributed. THANK YOU. You are definately people I wont forget.

    That explains a lot...yes, I've subscribed. Thanks for the response. I do know how much time it takes to produce content and edit video which is why I appreciate your efforts. I know nothing at all about the 3-year-old running around making it more difficult, thankfully ;)

    I liked the fact that this seemed to be a very objective presentation rather than another sales pitch. Still, it is also helpful to know some of the less attractive points such as mosquitos, power outages and season of heavy rains.

      Thank you - that will happen in future videos about various areas.... Keep watching!

      I find that there are fewer mosquitoes in places such as Boquete, Volcán, Cerro Punta, Cerro Campana and Cerro Azul, due to their elevation. It seems the higher in elevation you go, the fewer the mosquitoes.
      The heavy rains can be quite heavy, especially in the rainy season which last from starting some time in May to some time in November. But the torrential rains can come and go rather quickly. Unlike in other world geographies where it can drizzle for weeks on end, 't'is not uncommon to have torrential rains and then, minutes later, have a blue sky with sunshine. In the rainy season, the greenery is so lush and practically anything will grow. You certainly won;t die of hunger in Panama, even if you don;t have a cent in your pocket to your name, due to the abundance of fruits and vegetables which simply grow wild and spontaneously.
      If power outages concern you, say you are a stock trader, fr example, I strongly recommend getting a power backup system. It is a small price to pay for the other benefits, peace of mind and happiness one experiences. Power backup systems are not very expensive if you purchase them in the duty-free zone. Another option is to go solar. Speaking of solar, you can put yourself on the waiting list for a totally solar electric car you may never need to plug in a day in your life. If this is something that might interest you, please use my referral code so that I may get credit. My dad and I are on this waiting list: i.refs.cc/j7t13CpP?smile_ref=eyJzbWlsZV9zb3VyY2UiOiJzbWlsZV91aSIsInNtaWxlX21lZGl1bSI6IiIsInNtaWxlX2NhbXBhaWduIjoicmVmZXJyYWxfcHJvZ3JhbSIsInNtaWxlX2N1c3RvbWVyX2lkIjo3MTM0MzU5NzR9 With Panama being so near the equator you will have plenty of power for your electric vehicle. Enjoy! And welcome to Panama!

    I'll be coming to Panama on March 30, 2021 with no itinerary other than staying in a hotel in Panama City. I'm fully vaccinated and looking to relocate when I retire in a couple of years. I want to check out the country as much as possible. Should I rent a car or what?

      When we were in Panama City we just caught Ubers as it was so easy and accessible. We only used the car we purchased when we left to live in David. I loved the freedom of just being able to call someone to drive us around ... driving in Panama City is a little scary.

      As per the comments under the video...... The voice is not human, its AI... you cannot get the AI to "pronounce" words in any way... We were not monetized at the time of making the initial videos so we had to make do with what we could find without incurring cost... Watch all the other videos pertaining to the farm build .... those are natural without AI.

      Best thing for you to do is to contact Expat Immigration in Panama as they can give you all the answers. Cannot get a passport with permanent residency - you need Citizenship which is a process and takes a couple of years. We feel very safe and happy in Panama.
