WOW! I can see why Jorge is a private tour guide. He impressed me, and so did Volcán. I am not sure why there were so many commercial interruptions, I’ve never encountered that many in one short video; I lost count. But I enjoyed it nonetheless.

I just retired in the US. I do plan to visit Panama in early 2025. I'll wait for the dry season to visit. May be a 2 month first time visit. From afar, I love the vibe and relaxed atmosphere coming from the Volcan area.

Volcan has better roads, better sidewalks, a hospital, and MUCH better prices than Boquete for housing and even at restaurants

The Señor gave a wonderful tour with lots of valuable information. Loved it. Can you swim in the lakes? Are the restaurants less expensive than Boquete? Oh, Jackie said yes in an earlier reply. Volcán is very appealing.
The restaurants are at least 30% less then Boquete. Yes, you can swim in the lakes.

Jorge did a terrific job! Thank you. I lived in Panama for 17 years and Volcan was a favorite of my parents' for vacations when we were kids. Wondering what the cost of one of the "American style" houses Jorge described as rentals would sell for unfurnished.

Loved the video! I'm considering spending December thru March in Volcan. However, I'm concerned I won't be able to get my RA medication (Humira). It's an injectable pen I take every other week. Is there someway I can find out if the pharmacy will be able to carry that particular drug? If not, there would be no need for me to continue to consider.

pretty nice though seems pricier than expected. excellent tour.
There are furnished rentals as low as $400 a month but you can get a really nice house for $1200 too! Something for everyone. Grocery and restaurant prices are MUCH lower than Boquete.
Is there a city pool for lap swimming (indoor or outdoor)? Lived in Coronado and Rio Hato for 6 months with my family in 2022 (thx PRT guide) but too hot. Need to explore VOLCAN.
How common are power interruptions in Volcan, Jorge? Good water supply?
Excellent water. Power goes out once in awhile but it's not as bad as some other areas in Panama.

Exactly where I'd like to be. :) Presently I'm still doing my best with my micro regenerative organic farm in Nova Scotia (Canada), learning Spanish, and preparing for a visit (or many visits) to Panama. Volcan is on top of my list. Is high speed internet available in the area? (I still have a few patients that I see online)

What ever happened with the housing development near Volcan that was talked about just before the pandemic? It looked like it was to be smaller homes new homes, some ona lake or pond. I put my name on the list for more info woth the developer, but never really heard anything back, did it fizzle out or did it sell out very quickly? Thanks.
Fizzled out because the companies other ventures took a major hit with the pandemic

They have 4 and 5 bedroom houses. Rain is consistent throughout Volcan.

What Volcan does NOT have, as I recently discovered in a month long Chiriqui Provence visit and search that included Volcan, are any available rentals for wannabe retirement expats. I think Volcan is becoming Boquete.
Volcan has plenty of rentals. But you won't find them talking to real estate agents. You can only find them by being boots on the ground and talking to people. Jorge also knows where all the good rentals are. This week, a PRT client moved in to a furnished two bedroom two bath rental in Volcan, with all utilities includes, for $550 a month. The DEALS are out there.
