Dam when i was a teen my dad would watch TNN george reed cash merle parton old opry . He would sing along in his broken english it sounds funny a mexican with an accent singing lonesome fugitive or workin man blues. He would always say this is real music Cause we heard rapp music in 80s . I would give anything to here my daddy sing again. He says, Ese Jerry Reed es el mas chingon. He said everywhere jerry reed went he had a smile on his face lit up a room . Now im older im 48 . I can see now what my daddy was talkin about. Thanks dad i miss and love you .......
Miss Jerry so much. He was the complete entertainer he could do it all and had sooo much fun doing it, it was contagious how we could do with him around during these times. RIP Snowman x
At 1:57 Jerry turns and points at Mr Jones lead guitarist says, “where’d you find him at?” What a complement that must’ve been for that guitarist. Jerry Reed was one the best to ever play, watching old videos of him shredding it makes me want to burn my guitar.
That guitarist would have and probably still feels 100ft tall after being complimented by the greatest picker of all time, Jerry Reed. What an honour! Jerry rules! Always will.

I played George's first Starday record, "Why Baby Why" on KEEN radio in San Jose, Ca. when it was released in 1955. He appeared on the local country music TV show. I never got to meet him, but I started collecting his records. I even bought the 10" Starday LP. I should have kept it. The Mercury re-recordings were much better sonically, but I love that overproduced original with the double tracking..

If I’m mistaken I believe it was Merve Griffin who discovered Jerry and introduced him on his daily TV program, I don’t remember the day nor the month, but I do remember how much I enjoyed his since of humor and his country voice, along with his guitar playing. I know of no other comedian who had all of the talent Jerry possessed and used them all in his own show. I definitely miss the one and only,”Jerry Reed.” mc
What a duo Jerry Reid was so good and of course George Jones was and still is The GOAT💜💜💜💞💞💞💞
I never heard this until I started watching Twin Sticks Garage
Jerry Reed as your side man, now THAT is some backing!
If only George had recorded an album with him, would have loved that
Jerry Reed incredibly underrated! What a guy! And as for the possum well nothing really needs to be said! Both very missed
People who understands Reed knows what he was Worth

George had a “one of kind” voice. And so did Jerry. Never see this again. RIP both of you.
