If those coffins are more of his dead staff that they’ll use to revive as undead, this could be a nasty plan. Edit: well, guess the stormtroopers aren’t undead.

Allen, thank you for bringing in some anthropology ("alien-pology") concepts into your videos. Your stuff is edutainment and has "real" world applications. I am not sure why you hate dolphins but you are right, these mammals can be dangerous like primates. I saw a recent report where a group of dolphins killed a porpoise and the attack is not due to predation.
I really liked how both the Clone Wars and Rebels showed that there were other Force using factions besides the Jedi and Sith. I think the Dathomiri magic is different based on whatever planet they're on. The Peridia witches use artifacts similar in appearance to the star map. Maybe they need the spirits of their ancestors to work their magic. So these are most likely coffins. I think the Night Troopers are just one example of what the Nightsisters can do and those capsules are the next version of fighters.
I think it's pretty clear from the dialog they are Dathomiry night sisters whose ancestors migrated from Dathomir. The temples on this planet were part of a great "Dathomiry Witch" civilization, according to Baylen. Morgan says her ancestors were the first to harness the purgill for intergalactic travel to the planet from the SW galaxy. There's no reason to think they came from anywhere else other than Dathomir.
but can we talk about how thrawn and ezra even survived? like at the end of rebels the windows were fully shattered, which means they were literally just in space during the purrgil hyperspace jump
Ive liked all the SW shows, to some degree or another, but this one is the first where I feel like they are growing the universe more than ever, and I am excited to see how the last two episodes develop. I really hope that they make season 2 much quicker.
@@ellieciasca I dont really care one way or another. Both sides are entitled. For all i care they can never make another show again, ill just keep reading the books .
I think those coffins contain the Nightwolves, of course. They tap into the mystic Wolfhowl energy that permeates the universe and are led by Red "Red Wolf" Wolf, a new character that will become the most important character in Star Wars probably.
Perfect! The Chosen One prophesy was really referring to Anakin's half brother (on his father's side, make of that what you will), Red Wolf "Red Wolf" the red wolf all along. With special appearances by Trapper Wolf, the resurrected Wolfpack clones, and Shistavanen "Wolfman" Jack (the famous galactic radio host) all riding Loth Wolves.
What if every one of those bodies ends up being stronger than the Dathomer zombies? Heck, what if each one is a full on Inquistor grade force adept (if Nightsister trained rather than dark jedi). In those sort of numbers... that... would legitimately be a terrifying force.
I feel if the night sisters are getting the heck off planet and bringing their remains with them they could be controlling the night troopers as the red ribbons act as tethers to control them. Could be a plan to bring back the mother from the dead
Dark Disciple, is one of my favourite SW books. A fantastic recommendation. Staring two of, in my opinion, the best and most underused characters in Ventress and Voss.
All this talk about the Nightsisters made me wonder what is going to happen if Mother Talzin successfully assassinated Count Dooku? How will this impacted the Clones Wars and everyone involved in it?
There is that current rumor that Filoni and Kennedy have a plan here. The Ahsoka series and the movie to finish the story off are, supposedly, going to see the Witches cast a spell that destroys the Force meaning no Jedi, no Sith, no Force users ever again and the only magic will be the Night Sisters.
There is still a section of the loathal Jedi temple that contains some sort of force portal in one of the chimera’s cargo bays. I wonder if Thrawn reassembled it. Or, more likely, Feloni forgot it was there.
IIRC, Ezra destroyed it to prevent Palpatine from using it, and without Palpatines guidance on force artifacts, it seems unlikely that Thrawn himself would have rebuilt it.
Great video Alan, I wanted to point out a plot hole that I haven't seen anyone else talk about and figured I'd point it out, it's when Thrawn and Morgan are first talking about loading the caskets, she tells Thrawn that she has seen the catacombs and she thinks it'll take 3 days to do it. The plot hole is that she couldn't have seen it before, she has never been hear to see it and plus that would invalidate the show if she had been to Peridia before, she would have already known where to go to get Thrawn!! Please help with this conundrum!
what are you talking about bro did you switch off your brain or something, she was at the planet for a few hours before thrawn arived so she had time to see the catacombs
From now on I will consider BT pairing like an initiation ritual. With how long it takes and how flaky some Bluetooth connections can be, it checks out...
I couldn't help but think project blackwing, especially when they say there is a darker force they are running from. The caskets could contain bodies from the infected individuals.. definitely a long shot, one can only wish.
More over, the idea of thrawn valuing all life, even viral infections could also have a say. Especially with the cloning project he is to set up, the possibility to generate hundreds of clones who could be used as a host sounds interesting
@GenerationTech Thank you O'technological one for gracing me with you acknowledgement. This has shown me a path of enjoyment for the rest of the night. :>
I just hate having to wait a week everytime for an episode. I wish they would just release all of them at once. I feel like it might even work better for them if they do that, bc a lot of times ppl will get “upset” that what they were wanting/waiting to happen didn’t happen in the newest episode. But if they just released it all at once there would be no complaints bc it’s just one part after another. The thing with these Star Wars shows is they’re basically just longer movies cut into parts, so if they just release sit all together some of those parts that “don’t make sense or are random” (to some ppl) wouldn’t have as much of an impact on the reviews.
@alecjoncas7764 fair statement. At the same time fans today are very lucky. Back in the day we didn't have a scintilla of the content fandoms are privy too now. We had to wait a whole week and sometimes a decade for another entry. Patience my fellow Star War's fan - Yoda 🙏
They might not be actually zombies, the pods remind me of Han Solo in Carbonite if you look at the end of them you can see a electronic control panel, it might just be for the repulsorlift functions so those could be living Nightsisters and Brother in there.
I think you could make a video about the how the distinction between the night sisters and Jedi/Sith. Primarily collective powers vs individual powers. The average member of Sith or Jedi is a trained warrior competent in their use of the force while an average night sister is pretty weak in comparison.
So, a few head-scratching points; - Morgan said "I've seen the catacombs, it will take some time" in ref to Thrawn stating they'll load the 'caskets' onboard his ship. When did she have the chance for that little visit? - There seems to be a LOT of these caskets. As we've yet to see any other Night Sisters other than the three "Great Mothers", where might the rest be and what by chance killed so MANY of them to require so many caskets? There must be something VERY powerful here to kill so many. You would think Thrawn might have mentioned that to Baylan. - It would seem Peridea is VERY strong with the Force but until/unless Filoni shows us what he has living here, It's very confusing what's been killing off/wounding Thrawn's remaining troopers (they all look like they've been engaged in recent skirmishes) and has decimated the Night Sisters. - another possibility, is these caskets are holding not dead NS bodies but actually live NS in stasis. Put there perhaps due to such low resources on the planet. Mind, Who built this huge temple complex (labour wise) and to what end? - if we travel "home" next episode, these questions may not get answered for a VERY long time.
At this point in time in the Star Wars galaxy, there is a force power vacuum. A vacuum that needs to be filled. Thrawn's ship is a colonization vessel as this faction of the Sisterhood will repopulate this part the Star Wars galaxy. Wouldn't be surprised if there were more than one ritual of resurrection.
What if the night sister zombies turn out to be the dark side worshippers on Exegol that help Palpatine return? Maybe dark magick combines with cloning to help in a resurrection of sorts? And... staff all those star destroyers too. I know the nightsisters are no fans of the Sith, but I could easily see an alliance be worked out through Thrawn. Just a thought...
Fck the sequels , even Disney's acknowledges it fckd up , 2 directors with overarching completely different ideology and storylines and goals and a destructive hatred filled competition between them , No Creativity and new concepts or ships , and real world socio political trash .... That's just 1% of the reasons .the only future star wars has is the one without sequels
Definitely the peridea ones came first. Elsbeth confirmed as such when she said that the peridea nightsisters were the first to discover the pathway into the main galaxy by using the purgill
The coffins are probably just cryo pods. I believe Ezra mentions Thrawn woke up the elder witches when he arrived on Pyredia, so I would assume the rest are just sleeping as well. And if they do go the Abeloth route, what better way to prevent some random witch from hearing the call and waking her than putting everyone to sleep.
Great Mothers still remember what a Jedi smells like after millenia - that is the top of an iceberg lore drop: Jedi fought the Night Sisters in another galaxy long ago!h Add in all Baylan's 'old Jedi tales' lines and maybe the story Huyang is telling Ahsoka is about this time.
It is a little confusing why exactly the Night Sisters have this deal with Thrawn. It is mentioned in the last episode that the Sisters used the space whales in the past to go to other galaxies, such as the Star Wars one, so they shouldn't need Thrawn and the Chimera to escape that planet. It is also stated that the Night Sisters reached out to Morgan Elsbeth to come to them, so again, Morgan has that big ship which can get the Night Sisters to our galaxy. So then what does Thrawn have to bargain with if not transport out of there? The only thing that made sense was that Thrawn could unite the shattered elements of the Empire still existing and so give the Sisters a power base to operate from. If so then my theory on the deal they made is that the Sisters are giving Thrawn their undead to fill out more Trooper armor and make his army bigger. For right now they gave him just enough bodies to operate the Chimera and have a small unit of troopers if he needed them. But once back in the Star Wars galaxy and set up they will give him the rest, those in the canisters, to fill out his army.
I think it is Thrawns Tactical genius that they needed in order for Morgan Elizabeth to successfully make the super Hyperspace ring ship Eye of Scion , really super star destroyer hyperdrive engines need very very very thought process to acquire from both new republic and imperial remnants too and the designs , and I think that the Peredia is now a graveyard so nothing goes back or comes back eturns to the Star wars galaxy
Star Wars characters introduced in television animation: -Boba Fett (1978 Holiday Special) -General Greivous-(Tartakovsky’s Clone Wars) -Ahsoka Tano-(Filoni’s Clone Wars) -Saw Gerrera-(Filoni’s Clone Wars) Cad Bane-(Filoni’s Clone Wars) Filoni is the Heir to the Empire but maybe we could bring back Tartakovsky?? Live Action Visions? 100 years after Rey…Chiss vs. Mandalorians?
Idk peeps keep talking about this new galaxy. Everyone forgetting the plan is to go back? This new galaxy thing only works if.... thrawn talks the nighchicks back to exagol and they raise palps who later ultimately wins, so we solidify the disney trilogy which retconned George's work.... and.... Ezra, Sabine, Ahsoka, Baylin and Shin all get trapped in the new galaxy and now we can focus on their adventures at the Disney trilogy will have been set up so we can forget about it because we know where it ends.
I’ve enjoyed the Disney+ content, both Star Wars & Marvel, but Ahsoka is the first one that really felt like Star Wars to me. Andor is great, but it lacked the mysticism that I think is key to Star Wars; after all, it’s a space fantasy, not science fiction. Kenobi had it, but it was just not there for me. Ahsoka is a complete package. It’s got the silly/goofy/campy parts, it’s got the action, it’s got the mysticism, it’s got the space wizard magics. I really hope it finishes well.
"no longer just a war between the Jedi and the Sith..." With a good writer this angle could go far. So many of the galaxy's wars boil down to Force users' pissing matches. Thrawn is forming an alliance of people who despised both Jedi AND Sith for what they have provably done to governments for many thousands of years. While it makes sense that he'll hook up with Imperial remnants initially Thrawn is in a unique position to "peel back the curtain" on Force users wars over the last few thousand years and offer his alliance as a path to lasting peace untainted by both the Jedi and Sith. Doomed to failure of course but it would present him as highly intelligent not quite evil (lawful neutral?) character that we've come to love.
Asajj Ventress was not just taken, she was given to a man as a trade or offering for peace if I remember correctly. I don't remember under what curcumstances this was done. I don't remember who this man was or why he wanted Assajj and why the sisters gave Ventress to him. Mother Talzin clearly says to Asajj Ventress when she came back after Count Dooku betraided her "your sacrifice will be rewarded" or "your sacrifice has not been forgotten" something like that. They gave Ventress to some one, under pressure probably, but they did give her up for something. Asajj was not just taken without Mother's Talzin's concent.
I always thought Ventress was cool asf, she got shafted in life but I don’t think she was truly evil, she could have been brought to the light. Great video, thanks man
Sir I totally agree that Asajj Ventress to me is one of the Great forgotten characters in Star Wars. Which I would love to see more of. And I understand it would be almost impossible to bring her back in this timeline that we have now because she's dead. 👁️
Thrawn in full effect. The Nightsisters have been intergallactic for a long time. Those containers could hold a lot of things. They could be hypersleep/ stasis? They could contain bodies awaiting reanimation. All those missing Navy personel. Hybrid offspring? Adjustments depict a change in strategy.
Probably have dead nightsisters, but maybe also dead imperials. Thrawn mentioned his forces had thinned. Perhaps they will be brought back once in the main galaxy.
Oh totally agree that Thrawn is definately, based upon available evidence, transporting either a zombie night sister army in stasis or something even deadly, more terrifying force that Thrawn can make use of in his campaign to conquer the new republic, alongside the Chimera..
I kinda suspect that, in at least a percentage of those caskets, is a supply of ichor. And even those caskets with ancestors...whether bodies or spirits or both, they could be having two, maybe three (more?) per casket.
Yo. Allen do you think those nightsisters caskets. Are carrying very important high-ranking nightsisters bodies , do you remember that episode in the clone wars animated series we're Mace windu went with jar jar Binks to find out why the night sisters where taking these force-sensitive spirits in a spear to revive the nightsister mother Towson. Maybe thrawn at will take the night sisters back to Dathomir so they can be revived by taking other souls like they did in clone wars using those sphears
Dathomiri being extragalactic in origin should CLEARLY debunk any further deranged misinformation about zabraks resident on dathomir being any kind of blood relative. Zabraks are Zabraks, whether from Irdonia or settled on Dathomir, and being CALLED a Nightbrother in no way makes you a Dathomirian offshoot. Several species in the SWU are genetically close enough to interbreed, but do not conflate those populations that share worlds. (Like Quarren and MonCalamari)
My heart wants space vampires But Im pretty sure its what is left of the OG Night Sisters species The omes on Dathomir are like their hillbilly cousin's
My sense is that both Thrawn and the nightsisters will each try to betray the other. If the sisters have any inkling of what Sidious did to their relatives, I don’t see how Thrawn can absolve himself of his affiliation with Sidious. Thrawn wants power but appears to be dependent on the nightsisters. I don’t imagine he wants such a debt. His comments about Jedi also suggests a skepticism of force users.

@@ryanscanlon2151there ain't no cloned zillo i think anymore xd
@@cernstormrunner7263ok, I get it! But, what if you're wrong?
If those coffins are more of his dead staff that they’ll use to revive as undead, this could be a nasty plan.
Edit: well, guess the stormtroopers aren’t undead.
given how easily the undead nightsisters died to droids, it's a dumb plan.
@@NewSquallor to be fair, they were heavily outnumbered too. A war of attrition with the CIS doesn’t usually fair well. Though this is Thrawn we’re talking about. He probably has a specific plan for this.
@@NewSquallorYou know who also died easily by droids? The best soldiers of the Republic.
too many of our brothers....@@Agherosh
Or project Blackwing hosts/bodies?
I'd like to add the theory that instead of corpses there could be sisters in some sort of stasis in this coffins.
This is now the most likely. I’ve been rewatching his videos and just saw your comment. Ezra does say Thrawn woke up the great mothers.
I both love the remanung damage to the chimera
And do hope it gets repaird/upgraded
They’ll probably refit the hyperdrive on the ring into it
Allen, thank you for bringing in some anthropology ("alien-pology") concepts into your videos. Your stuff is edutainment and has "real" world applications.
I am not sure why you hate dolphins but you are right, these mammals can be dangerous like primates. I saw a recent report where a group of dolphins killed a porpoise and the attack is not due to predation.
so youre saying they killed a porpoise on purpose
@@CthulhuFhtagn138 A purpose on porpoise?
There's no reason to think they came from anywhere else other than Dathomir.
i swear Allan is my favorite youtuber
but can we talk about how thrawn and ezra even survived? like at the end of rebels the windows were fully shattered, which means they were literally just in space during the purrgil hyperspace jump
Ive liked all the SW shows, to some degree or another, but this one is the first where I feel like they are growing the universe more than ever, and I am excited to see how the last two episodes develop. I really hope that they make season 2 much quicker.
@kevinkruse88 its providing the groundwork for future SW akin to The Prequel's lore.
Better pray for the end of both the writers strike and the SAG AFTRA strike then
@@ellieciasca I dont really care one way or another.
Both sides are entitled. For all i care they can never make another show again, ill just keep reading the books .
unfortunately due to the writer's strikes we arent going to see a whole lot of anything in the next couple years :(
I think those coffins contain the Nightwolves, of course.
It's probably an undead army of Nightsisters
Huge fan thank you for what you do and thank you for explaining the lore we've missed!
15:38 thrawn would be the only one to support a unionized force--he treats his servicemembers well, and gets ultimate loyalty from them
I always wanted the empire to go against a larger threat other than just the rebels.
Those coffins are full of all of our expectations that were killed by the sequals
“dark science, cloning: secrets only the Sith knew”
LOL
Inside those caskets are all of our fan theories about this show so far.
Nope they are left behind
I've always loved the Nightsisters and Ventris. What ever happened to Ventris after the Clone Wars?
Fell in a romantic relationship with Quin lon vos and they both died , I don't remember the story toh
Mystic duck tape
Dark Disciple, is one of my favourite SW books. A fantastic recommendation. Staring two of, in my opinion, the best and most underused characters in Ventress and Voss.
All this talk about the Nightsisters made me wonder what is going to happen if Mother Talzin successfully assassinated Count Dooku? How will this impacted the Clones Wars and everyone involved in it?
This is seeming more and more like Filoni’s version of the Yuuzhan Vong. I’m not opposed to that at all haha
Great so Alen! Keep up the great work.
Whatever comes next will be interesting! Thanks for the video!
Alan going crazy with these uploads
She may have just seen it off screen, as in she went to the catacombs after arriving to inspect them.
@@whatson7950 yeah thats obviously the case here
Allan. You have unlocked truth star wars aside but this and many videos show truth.
Plenty of societies in Star wars Is hard to believe have interstellar travel. Maybe they had it but gave it up
From now on I will consider BT pairing like an initiation ritual. With how long it takes and how flaky some Bluetooth connections can be, it checks out...
I'm just waiting for the chimaera to latch into the ring a-wing style
Dark Disciple is amazing. I need Quinlan Voss back in live action.
I hope that they understand Thrawn as a charakter. Thrawn could play such a important role in the Star wars future.
Gods i love Thrawns voice. Its like spicy butter.
Yeah he tastes each word
I couldn't help but think project blackwing, especially when they say there is a darker force they are running from. The caskets could contain bodies from the infected individuals.. definitely a long shot, one can only wish.
It actually is canon I believe and it was imperial created so… who know maybe one day they’ll bring into live action. Maybe even with Han & Cheeie
So would they use it on new republic forces , like a Newer Katana fleet Scenerios where Thrawn finds and gets the New republic fleet ships
Nah, they need that people talk about the show. These videos aswell happening because of this setting. I hate to wait too, but this is the way
@alecjoncas7764 fair statement. At the same time fans today are very lucky. Back in the day we didn't have a scintilla of the content fandoms are privy too now. We had to wait a whole week and sometimes a decade for another entry. Patience my fellow Star War's fan - Yoda 🙏
I think if they released them all together a lot of people would cancel the subscriptions between series
The rest of his staff, and they need to travel to Dathomir which might warrant a cameo of Merrin running into them.
You think locations over vas space all looks the same would be referred to by cowardness direction instead of names
They might not be actually zombies, the pods remind me of Han Solo in Carbonite if you look at the end of them you can see a electronic control panel, it might just be for the repulsorlift functions so those could be living Nightsisters and Brother in there.
your analysis is excellent and hilarious
In the episode they actually say that the planet is the real homeworld for them. So, the Dathomirian witches originate from this galaxy, not SW one.
I think you could make a video about the how the distinction between the night sisters and Jedi/Sith.
Primarily collective powers vs individual powers. The average member of Sith or Jedi is a trained warrior competent in their use of the force while an average night sister is pretty weak in comparison.
That thumbnail is hilarious and I love it a lot.
Undead magically reanimated Night Troopers.... probably not unionized :)
So, a few head-scratching points;
- Morgan said "I've seen the catacombs, it will take some time" in ref to Thrawn stating they'll load the 'caskets' onboard his ship.
Everybody gangsta til the witches summon their dead cousins
Make Sorceress Charal Great Again! It would be cool if they had another shapeshifter witch.
Great Mothers still remember what a Jedi smells like after millenia - that is the top of an iceberg lore drop: Jedi fought the Night Sisters in another galaxy long ago!h
Add in all Baylan's 'old Jedi tales' lines and maybe the story Huyang is telling Ahsoka is about this time.
Judging by Thrawns' beer belly I would guess that they're loading caskets of Peridean Pilsner.
I think it is Thrawns Tactical genius that they needed in order for Morgan Elizabeth to successfully make the super Hyperspace ring ship Eye of Scion , really super star destroyer hyperdrive engines need very very very thought process to acquire from both new republic and imperial remnants too and the designs , and I think that the Peredia is now a graveyard so nothing goes back or comes back
eturns to the Star wars galaxy

-General Greivous-(Tartakovsky’s Clone Wars)
-Ahsoka Tano-(Filoni’s Clone Wars)
-Saw Gerrera-(Filoni’s Clone Wars)
Cad Bane-(Filoni’s Clone Wars)
Filoni is the Heir to the Empire but maybe we could bring back Tartakovsky??
"no longer just a war between the Jedi and the Sith..."
With a good writer this angle could go far.
Doomed to failure of course but it would present him as highly intelligent not quite evil (lawful neutral?) character that we've come to love.
graves, witches, undead troopers, man this star wars series is getting super dark
Thrawns about to have a one chip challenge party
It's Ezra and Sabine sneaking back onto the Chimera!

Imagine Baylon finds a whole community of yodas species that would be bad to the bone
as someone who made the undead nightsisters for clone wars, I'm slightly excited on the implications...heh...
Oh totally agree that Thrawn is definately, based upon available evidence, transporting either a zombie night sister army in stasis or something even deadly, more terrifying force that Thrawn can make use of in his campaign to conquer the new republic, alongside the Chimera..
The undead nightsisters kinda remind of playing Cod zombies when you get through a certain number of waves and the zombies get tougher and faster.
They’re probably trying to “repopulate” Dathomir with undead night sisters
Dave F is opening the door for a Halloween Horror movie. Possibly directed by Steven Spielberg and written by Stephen King would be my dream choice.
Doesn't have to be just Night Sister & Brother corpses, could also be Zepho corpses too they could reanimate.
Something is in there to help Palpatine get cloned with his dark force powers.

i don't see a problem here
My sense is that both Thrawn and the nightsisters will each try to betray the other.
