When you take the radio/ air conditioning plastic piece out. Is that able to split apart into 2 separate pieces, or are they connected as one.

Is anybody familiar with a 2004 BMW 430 S automatic it says ESP problem trying to figure out what that Mighty B I can start the car and runs good but when I shut it off it won't start again it goes into limp mode if I if it does start

It won't effect your XM. There is a separate tuner module in the car.
Is there an aftermarket cd player to replace it?
Thanks for the video. I followed the instructions to remove the dashboard and replace the ash tray. However, after replacing the ash tray, the BMW I drive screen no longer works. It keeps rebooting.

@@monster4686 from what I understand the CCC or “idrive” screen is controlled by the radio itself I would check the connections on the back of the radio again and if not look into finding a used one at a junkyard.

No, we only repair original equipment.

Rather than reparing my unit if I buy a used working identical cd player. Does it need to be programmed after connecting?
Even identical unit could have been programmed with different options. You might get lucky and matches your options.

It is possible to do that. It is kind of expensive and requires coding after the upgrade.
There is a company in Canada " bimmer retrofit" which offer the conversion.

When replacing it do you need to recode the replacement my idrive keeps freezing and I bought a replacement do I need to code it or can I just take this one out and put on the replacement thanks
If you replace it with a new one, it needs to get coded for sure but if you are replacing with a used one you may not, depending on the Vin number of the donor vehicle.

What does that mean exactly "Depending on the VIN of the donor vehicle"? How can I tell whether I won't or will need coding based on the donor VIN?
Vin number will tell you the options of the vehicle. If options of the donor car is similar to your car then it should would work.
Thanks for replying. What was confusing for me is: We have different options, but I'm wondering if only the relevant option matters (in our case we both have 609 for professional Nav). But the donor car is North American and mine is European so some things are standard in his that were options in mine. Is American-European a problem just by itself?

I turn my car off and the cd/dvd player stays on and drains the battery its kind a pain in the neck.. can i do this and unplug it with put having problems?? Just for now while get the money to fix it. Thank you amazing video

Hitec Electric bv can take my car to u guys and u can check for me cus I have 2005 545i and the stereo come on and off on and of some tell me the I need new amp and I changed but I still having the same problem
