@@adrianromero4091 Maybe you should get a used screen from Ebay for less than $50. It is an easy fix that should take you 10 minutes.
unfortunately didn't work for me, i unplugged my volume panel ribbon and it still reboots :(
thanks for the confidence to take this apart though
did you find a fix mines the same
@@BradLeviLagus I had to buy a new / used ccc unit.
@@lSTEEF i bought one and it still doesn’t work
@@BradLeviLagusBest getting a repair that way you have warranty
Wow
when car parks under sun, it doesn't work. keep restarting and no sound.
This trick working with CCC facelift 2008 but no need to chenge front panel. It's very easy to repair it. Before that like BMW from 2004 2005 2006 not working.
How?
I’ve just got my car back from being painted and now I have this problem
How did you fix this without replacing the panel?
how do u repair then?
I live how people like you say it’s very easy to repair but yet there is no footage showing it or any proof, so get your facts straight.
mine still doesn’t woro
This problem is very rare, 90% of the time it's software or hardware problems with the motherboard
unfortunately didnt work for me. Cost me $220 to get the motherboard rebuilt from a guy in uk
You could have bought a used one from your nearest junkyard for much less.
@@sharpshenk3794 I looked into it but after getting it recoded to my car it would have been more expensive plus you risk the same thing happening again anyday. where the rebuilt motherboard has the weak points upgraded and i got a warranty so im happy
You don't need to recode it. Just get the one that looks like the one you have already and it will fit nicely and work perfectly without any coding. In case anyone else is facing similar choices.
@@sharpshenk3794 no how these work bud each unit is coded to the vehicle order. So unless you get it from the exact same spec car youll end up with options greyed out or no sound etc
And I have a 05 e60
05 E60 should have a MASK II I believe and not CCC.
It only left a message on the display screen that says “head unit not coded correctly” and yes it keeps on rebooting and freezes for most of the time
@@nicholasfearon5435 Then it needs coding it to the vehicle. But if you get exact type using the number on the front panel, it will work without coding. What type does your car have? MASKI, MASK II OR CCC?
@@sharpshenk3794 I’m not a hundre percent sure but I think it’s ccc
@@nicholasfearon5435 If you have a picture of it, I can tell which.
ok
