I had gone years back to a discussion with a local dermatologist when I work in pediatrics and he had suggested to apply Vaseline within five minutes after showing said it was the very best thing for dry skin. I will mix up Vaseline and my favorite lotion in a bowl works very well, learned that from a MA in home health. FYI Doc I retired after 40 years of nursing. I watch you channel all the time good information.

I've always thought that one of the reasons Vaseline is used for "slugging" is that it doesn't clog pores in general. I have dry, somewhat acne prone skin, and have used Vaseline in the past with great results and no negative effects in terms of acne, quite the opposite actually.

I have severe discord lupus and I have scars... My skin is so dry and on the open sores I put Vaseline on and it helps my sores heal beautifully...

I use it on my lips cause we have a cieling fan that dries them out if I don’t. Also dab the left overs around my eyes. We’ll see if it helps in another 10-20 years. 😁. I’m in my 60’s. lol.

Cocoa butter Vaseline is the bomb-diggity! I switch up my skin care routine and after a long warm bath "slather" it on myself! Have to watch out in the summer because wasps will follow me!

I always thought Vaseline was a moisture barrier, to protect the skin from wind and dry conditions and, therefore, would keep moisture from penetrating the skin. It would be like a barrier protecting the dry skin. Am I wrong? I was always told to use sloe and lanolin based products? I'm confused 😊

Looks can certainly be deceiving 🤔... and our Good Doc here is the perfect example of this, he looks more like the "BADASS Character" in an Action movie 💪... then an Amazing Skin care Genius. Lol
