I've also had one surgically removed. The Derm finally allowed me to remove it surgically. What is so weird, is that I can still feel itching underneath the scar....but since there is no longer a dry crusty sore there, I don't scratch or pick at anything. But, I do get that tingly feeling every once in a while..... which means the cause of the tingles is way under the top surface of the skin.
Thank you, Doctor M!

My itchy start early last year but minor. It comes and go quickly but about 6 weeks now my whole body is intense itching and breakouts all over my body and I’m miserable scratching and losing sleep at night. I don’t know what it happened to me. I’m crying.😢
I don’t have it on my body JUST on my scalp and I’m grateful I don’t WHAT IS THE CURE ?? What can I buy to put on it ?
That gives me hope as I’m starting photo therapy in two weeks
😉
100% my PN goes away when I'm outside.. for sure light changes it. Also, I have had help with freezing them. BUT, I have to go back within 3 to 4 weeks and freeze them AT LEAST 4 times. By the 4th time, they don't come back. Unfortunately, new Derm doctors give me such a RIDICULOUSLY hard time about freezing them. Have NO IDEA what the big deal is. Being on top of the freezing sessions 100% makes them go away..... but, no, freezing 1 or 2 times.... is pointless.
Hi Dr. Is this only done by a dermatologist? Do you know of a great fading cream for the scars on dark skin? Thank you
I've just been diagnosed via biopsy. I don't have extreme itching. I'm still trying to understand. My issues are the sore's on my head, face and legs. My dermatologist said overproducing of collagen. I will have the hard white Pebble substance. I don't know how to be treated for that!
About 3 years ago I had PN due to a mosquito bite that turned into PN. I cured it. My dermatologist did a biopsy and they shaved off the entire mosquito bite area and it never itched again after that. HOWEVER, I recently got another mosquito bite that turned into PN. Do I have to get it shaved off every time? There’s got to be another way. I’ve tried freezing it off with a wart remover, but it did not work. Can anyone please share their cure?
What does PN nodules look like? Do nodules have worms in them? I think I have been misdiagnosed. Thank you.
Thanks for this video! Couple questions: what is the difference between getting phototherapy sessions at a clinic and going outside for some natural sunlight for PN? Also, does phototherapy make existing PN scars darker?
Great questions! Phototherapy is MUCH safer than natural sunlight. NB UVB phototherapy bulbs emit a narrow sliver of the UV spectrum, which is very safe. Sunlight is broad-spectrum UV, which causes a whole host of potential issues including skin cancer. Phototherapy will not make the PN scars darker, but one's skin will tan overall.
Waht is different between litchen amyloid on leg and puri go nodules ? I have licthen amyloid deposit doctor says no treatment jagannath Bangalore india
Horrendous bouts of itching 😫 have ✋️ me in my tracks. Woman, 72 / MS & fused spine age 12 for scoliosis. Researching but meanwhile must MAKE IT STOP! helps to ME include SEA BREEZE original formula (yellow) astringent for scalp particularly. Prescription ATARAX 25mg starting level (generic hydroxizine) has worked since 1964 when in body cast after spinal fusion. Hugely negative quality of life issue. Blessings & calming 😌 to all 🕊
I would hate cortisone injections I don't even like the pills and avoid them if I can even if it prolongs the treatment. The pills also put on weight which I definitely don't need. I had never heard of that disease before, so I was very interested in your explanation. It's quite frightening to know that so many things can go wrong with our body, but I guess we just to accept it when things go wrong. What's really scary is,when the Dr doesn't know what is wrong 🤔 😳 😁
… if your doc doesn’t know what’s going on, time to find another doc. 😉
@@DrMudgil you are dead right, no pun intended.
So it's phototherapy cure PN? I just found out I have PN. I had it for 3.5 months now and don't know why I get it. They say there's no cure yet...just apply itch cream. I hope there a real cure soon.
It’s been very helpful for many of my patients.
So not cute but helpful to relieve itch? How many sessions before seeing result?
Can you treat at home with a UV-B hand held lamp? My mum has been diagnosed, she missed an appointment due to a hospital stay and now she has to wait 6 - 8 months b4 being seen by consultant. She has everywhere except her face atm. She is so low 😢
Where are you located?

@@michelewilliams2723 Gotcha. I would definitely see a dermatologist before initiating therapy.
