I have the evolution chop saw, not bad but does what I need. Nice video Danny my boi 😁😉
Just returned one of these to Wickes. Out the box I calibrated the cut at 0 degrees using the triangular guide to get the perfect square end cuts, then I adjusted (as per manual) the 45 degree bevel cut using the stop bolt until the scale guide lined up at 45, again as per the manual. The problem, after checking if the blade was indeed at 45 deg, is it wasn't, not even close. I'd say the blade was out by 4-5 degrees. I've used a Makita LS1040 for years and never had to celebrate it, it was always bang on.
This thing however, the MLS100 was out if you rely on the bevel scale. You could simply calibrate the bevel to true 45 deg and not use the angle scale but that would render the saw only reliable for 0 deg and 45 bevel cut only.
Other observations aside from the serious accuracy issue above, the pointers, handle feel and guard all feel rather chintzy. I also discovered the deck was out too. If you buy one of these check the side angled bevel cut.
I absolutely agree with you
Thanks.
How is it next to the ls1040?
Sorry does the switch spair available
thanks
Is this 50-60 Hz?
For the price, these are good.
Good video ! Can you tell me the size of the first stick that you cut? Do you think works for 4x4 inches?
Hi RAFA here is the spec:- Power input: 1500W
• Maximum mitre range: 45° left & right
• Maximum depth of cut: 75mm at 90° and 45mm at 45°
• Maximum width of cut: 130mm
• Bore size: 30mm
• Weight: 14.7kg
Complete with Makita B-08888 blade 255mm, 48 tooth. Thanks mate
My dewalt compound saw sounds a bit knackered. I sent my lil bro down to do a few of the cuts, whilst changing the pitched roof. He started the saw whilst putting it straight to the timber. I can't really blame him though he's 18 and still learning. I don't think it would be a cheap repair though. I reckon I might have to buy a new one when I need it. This ones almost had it. Great review. I'll ask you in a few months how your getting in with it. How many golden nuggets did you part with for this one?
It's not too bad to be honest it was only £170 down from £265 I think there is a link in description to it, at that price I can't moan! Yeah that's the trouble with apprentices you sometimes forget how little experience they have and how little they know, I've made that mistake with tools before😂💪🏻
Does this plug directly into a normal electricity plug?
If you get the 240v and not 110v yes
Is this makita saw have a LAser to cut?
no
no laser or shadow light ?
Laser is on there thanks 👍🏻
why not show how to change the blade.
