What a lovely video! I am also an avid fan of A. Gallo. And, not only of their delicious paints but also their wonderful company. Although I am still a beginner, I have quite a few of their palettes and am always in awe of the beautiful pigments and how they react on a quality piece of paper. So magical! I love how you bring historical content into your videos, it adds so much depth to the beautiful art you are creating right before us. You have inspired me to not only get these incredible paints out and get painting, but also to get my posterior in gear and finish my Masters in Italian Literature so that I may finally, maybe one day, pursue a PhD. All the very best from Ontario, Canada 🤗🇨🇦✨🍁🍂❤️
I really loved this video! I enjoy watching other artists at work which helps me learn new techniques. The history of the color you shared was very interesting to learn also. I just received an A. Gallo palette for my birthday. Your video made me super excited to start using it!
I love A. Gallo watercolors. Just purchased the 36 Natural pallet to add to my other colors. Please make more videos about their paints. Very interesting 💜
Kindred spirits- and my pup’s Behr says hi- Greetings from our little hobbit cottage in the Cypriot countryside where I am the elfen queen and capture fleeting moments with ancient pigments… I am so happy for you being able to pursue a doctorate in Medieval Literature. Perhaps your travels will bring you to my corner of the world one day.
Another lover of A Gallo here! I actually have quite a few brands of paints……however this particular palette has become by favorite! There is something very special about their paints and this palette overall. Beautiful video!
Me too!! I have a mixture of brands in my main palette, but I keep coming back to A. Gallo when I need fresh inspiration. They are truly romantic and magical.
Lovely painting! Yes, please, more videos like this one! I totally understand the "sense of nostalgia" you mention, this connecting with "ancient artists" by using the same pigments they used. The problem is many of the traditional pigments are poisonous (e.g. viridian), fleeting (e.g. sepia, indigo) and their production harmful to the environment (e.g. malachite, manganese und colbalt). Fortunately, the earth pigments aren't. So I shall try and buy the new Naturale 36 in today's restock. I already have the 48 set with some additional colours, which I love. And I am very much looking forward to the Naturale 36 set.
I enjoyed your video and am considering the A Gallo Natural set as well for the reasons you mentioned. But they are very expensive and I also wonder how they compare to other brands like M Graham or Sennelier who also use honey. Thanks for your thoughts and for sharing.
Enjoyed your painting and tell us more about Gallo paints when you have an update. :) .
I love this and would love to see more videos like this. I love A Gallo also and am slowly growing my collection.
Thank you! I’ll definitely make more like this. ✨🙂 aren’t A Gallo colors lovely?

Loved the video. It was very peaceful and meditative. I am a big fan of A. Gallo. I love both my Signature 24 and Naturale 24 sets.
I love learning about these paints history; I have some and love them.
