Thank you, it's really nice to see these colors in use, so much nicer than squinting at a tiny swatch in a catalogue! Gorgeous , can't wait to see them in a landscape.
Ditto. I appreciate how easy it is for you to match color swatches because of the way you've arranged them. Thank you for swatching for us. 😊 I did have a little trouble seeing some of the previous swatches due to glare on the clear protector. I so enjoy your channel, Helen. ❤
Dear Helen, thank you for sharing and showing the AGallo aquarell painting clour. They are beatiful. What I liked about your presentation Was the comparing of the other colours that you have. Great ! Where do you get the example Papers wher you try how the colors react. Greetings from Christiane Berlin Germany 😊
Thank you so much! I'm not totally sure what you mean by example papers, but all of the papers I swatched on are Canson XL Watercolour Paper, in spiral bound pads, from Amazon.
Thank you for sharing these with us it was very enjoyable! I have some of their paints and they're just so nice. I do wish I knew about these before I bought some d.s paints and other top brands. I think these are so nice and have so much character and that slight rosemary smell is just perfect its not too strong and just enough to get a scent of it here and there. I think the rosemary oil just helps me relax more while painting. Who would have thought. I think that if your able to afford some of these it's definitely worth trying. I think it's really great that they include other local businesses into their packaging and brushes. I actually think theyre quite affordable compared to top brands pigment load and the quality that you receive. You can select 12 pans and get a free tin and a brush or 24! No brand does that well that I'm aware of anyway. I hope you Have a great day. Btw what paper are you swatching on?
Thank you! Yes, I think their quality is beautiful, and I didn't know you could get a free tin and brush - I'm assuming that's if you buy directly from the company? I think I will always need a mixture of paint brands though, because I would miss the high dispersion of other paints, if I only had these. I'm using Canson XL Watercolour pads for my swatches xx
This was enjoyable to watch. I have been writing down a A. Gallo list already and your swatches helped me adjust the list further. Thank you! ❤️👍 I'd love to see your whole book of different brand swatches. I managed to write a few new ones on my wishlist. 😁. 😇🩵🙏🙌
Dear Helen, thank you for answering my question. What I wanted to know is did you draw the sqaures yourself or did you buy them . Also you have round dots did you draw them by yourself or can you buy those sheets .I hope that I explained what I Mein understandebal for you. ( I am a nativ german speaker so please excuse ) very many greetings Christiane 😊
Hi Christiane, sorry I misunderstood! Yes - I drew out the squares myself on watercolour paper, and I made the sheets with the round paint swatches, myself too, from the other paints I own.
That buff titanium looks amazing! I rarely use "whites" in watercolor, but this makes me want to try some!
I end up using it quite a bit, though of course it's pretty opaque.

Great! If you're interested, I review them again, one year on in this video:

This video was so informative! Loved the comparisons your swatch folder is so organised ❤
Thanks so much!

Thanks! I'll try and remember to take them out of the protectors next time!
I love A. Gallo colours so much!⭐️
Gorgeous, aren't they?!
Thanks for making this video. I was tempted to buy a set. But after watching this, I think I'll just stay with Daniel Smith for most of my paint.
I think Daniel Smith will always be my first love! But with some individual colours thrown in from other brands.
amazing blues and greens, omg
I’d love to try them one day! Thank you for sharing this video :)
Thank you! I hope you get to!
@@helencryer Thanks for the good wishes 🙂

I love how these paints showed up on the paper you used! Do you mind if I ask what pad you're using here?
Hi, yes, I'm using a Canson XL Watercolour pad.
The comparisons were fascinating - now I’m off to see if you have any videos of just the swatch book, for a better look.
Don't know if you found it, but it's here:

Thank you for sharing them, I am very happy with what I bought 😊
I'm so glad!

I really like the Tintoretto brushes…
I love your palette the colors are so lovely 😍😍😍
For Tyrian Purple I see a painting of lavender or a hyarinth. 🙃
This reminds me that I have a half finished hydrangea painting tucked away somewhere!
@@helencryer Time to finish it to herald the coming spring.
I really should do... so many half finished things though!!

I always find UA-cam so useful for doing the same! Thanks!
My swatch book is getting pretty out of date - I need to update it first!

that chromite brown is beeeaaautiful!
🙂
I got that one in a set and initially it did not reset or look good…I tried it again a few weeks ago and it was much better
@@JessicaCEP what does reset mean?
(Rewet, possibly??)
@@helencryer oh! yyou're right helen! makes so much more sense now LOL
I love buff titaniums…I love theirs and Michael Hardings buff titanium and grey titanium!
Ooo, I will have to go and take a look at grey titanium!!
❤where to get the other brand color you compared together as single round you show in this video?please❤
Hi, I'm really sorry - I don't know which one you mean. Could you give me the time stamp for it?
Buff titanium is one of the few a gallo colours that compares poorly to DS - it’s much cooler, more cement than stone coloured.
I don't mind it too much, but I definitely prefer some of my Daniel Smith to some of these A. Gallo versions.
Love the video, brilliant idea about the swatching folder! Great to see in comparison with other brands! Definitely like and subscribe from me😅
Glad it's useful! That's very nice of you, thank you!
