Hi Janie! We do not have a brick and mortar store for StudioR12. We do have a gift boutique called BoardRoom46 in Gallipolis, Ohio that you can paint at with an instructor. There are some small stencils available for purchase there, but not our entire collection.
I get a build up of paint on the metal on the roller … any suggestions would be great … can’t get roller foam off it gets stuck …. Thanks !!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️🎅🏻🤶🏻🎅🏻🤶🏻
Patty says to wrap it in a paper towel and pull it off. You'll also want to take it off as soon as you're done using it. When the paint dries, it gets harder to get off.
@@gardeningforlife6587 Thank you for asking! We use pine boards that are cut to size by our local hardware supply store. We have a really great video tutorial for prepping pine boards and sealing knots! 👉 bit.ly/3TWZUsZ
This is really going to depend on your area, pricing of materials, and the amount of time you spend stenciling. We normally see porch signs ranging from $50 to $100 at vendor events - you'll also want to take into account if you are painting 2 sides or just 1.
@@StudioR12Stencils is there an average of where to begin the pricing? I am fascinated and would love begin doing this to make additional income for my family as I was recently laid off. Thank you for the inspiration! I ordered several stencils last night
You can roll the plaid background - there are some things you'll want to take into account. We only did two rows, so you'll want to mask off the rest of the stencil. Your roller may be bigger than the area you are stenciling this design and you could ghost into an area you don't want to. We also recommend practicing a roller with this stencil. Because of all of the open spots on the plaid, you may notice some wiggle and movement if it's not secured well. A stencil adhesive may be beneficial here. Patty did notice some paint buildup on the plaid stencil by the time she got close to the end. That can increase your bleeding under. Let us know if you have any other questions :)
Let me clarify. Shellac will work for the knots under the paint. If the sign is for outdoors you need to use an exterior sealer over the top of the finished sign.
You all brighten my stressful day !!! Thank you ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
So sorry you're having a stressful day! Glad we can be a light for you :)

Do you use plywood then cut it to size?

Do you have any recommendations on how much to charge for the signs please?

Did you roll the plaid background too?

Shellac will seal for indoors but won't last outdoors.
Let me clarify. Shellac will work for the knots under the paint. If the sign is for outdoors you need to use an exterior sealer over the top of the finished sign.
Correct! We only use Shellac to cover the knots. We always use a polyurethane on our outdoor projects once we are done painting.
Do you have a good way to get off sap? I have used olive oil and salt works well.
Yes! Lemon essential oil is what Patty used and it worked like a charm!
@@StudioR12Stencils Oh nice, that would smell good also : )
