    Thank you so much for this great tutorial! I have many Christmas ornaments that I need to stencil for a show in December. Been holding off for almost 2 weeks because I know they will bleed through. Watched many youtube's. Yours was absolutely the Best. Now I am not afraid to tackle this project. Many, many Thanks.

    You crack me up! Thanks for all of your tips. I hate to clean brushes too. I rinse them out and let them sit all day or overnight in a mixture of half water and half Murphy Oil Soap. If I have a crusty one, I put it in a cup of boiling water with the oil soap. Haven't lost one yet.

      Aww thank you so much Girlie! I just try to make videos I myself want to see. Like, its nice to learn HOW to sencil but what should we use and why, and what else can we do if we have issues... I really ask myself questions like this before I create content latley. I hope it is helping all of you as much as I think it would help me!

      I am glad I could help Mary! In terms of application you really see, the stencil can be applied with great results with any of those tools really. I truly believe the off loading is what makes a good stencil. the less on your tool of choice to apply the better!

    I make stencils with my Sizzix Big Shot die cutting machine, but love DT stencils. I've bleached shirts and used fabric paint with those DT stencils and they work great. I use quilters adhesive spray for the non sticky stencils. I LOVE Technique Tuesday!!😍

    18:38 I just started crafting and am so happy to have discovered your channel. So informative and funny at the same time! I’m not sure if you answer questions, but I’ve watched multiple times and can’t figure out what adhesive you used on the white paint. I’m having the worst time with stenciling on my painted Dollar Tree boxes!!! Thanks for putting the time into sharing your knowledge! ❤

    Using a soft toothbrush helps to clean them too :) Great video Brandi! I am excited to try the decoupage method :) Very cool. My headache just went away LOL

    Thank you so much for making this video. I have issues with stencils. I struggle at it. so will try these ideas. I have a hard time getting them to be crisp. I get bleed throughs a lot. Grrr. 🤬😡🤣😊💯💯💯💖💖💖💖👍👍👍

      Make sure to let the mediums dry before applying the stencil color over them. That usually helps alot

    Hi Brandie, glad I watched this video. I got the paint around the stencil, I blotted the pounder so it was almost dry. How do I get a perfect stencil like your first one?

    Which medium would you suggest to use to help with bleed through on paper?? Happy Crafting from Phoenix, AZ. 🤗❤️

      I would use the paint color of the background over the stencil then let it dry.
      And make sure to use the off load method so the applicator is completely dry almost and gently tap the color in. Hope that helps!

    So I have a. If not it's kind of like wood but that stuff that you show nothing planks. Will I have something like that? Should I paint it first before I use my my stencil but my stencil is a paper. Can I use paint still?

    How do you line up letter stencils to make word? So the letters are not far apart or to close. But just right.

      A lot of times you have to wait for one to dry or use a heat gun!! They lay them .

      Not dumb at all, it was their satin clear coat sealer. I just wanted to show you, that with that you can also use a Brand retailer that can not be easily found in stores to accomplish the look

    Do you put modge podge after you stenciled?

      You can absolutely seal over your stencils! I have used all kinds of sealers from spray paints to mod podge! Just let them dry!!

      Depends on the item I think. I don't feel comfortable giving an answer without seeing it and knowing the paint etc...

      @@thediystruggle I guess the PodPodge was put on too thick. I took off the stencil, and it tore off the paint (waaahhhh!!!) Terrible I guess I need a thicker canvas. Wood panels here are TOO expensive---and Amazon ripped me off.
