- In this video, this Part 5 of the major engine overhaul.
I personally recommend to set your engine to TDC 1 before installing the cylinder head, this will make the assembly process much easier and make minimize mistakes.
Depending on the year of your DD15, it is easier to install accessories on the cylinder first before actually installing the cylinder head.
It is an amazing real training video course, I am not maintenance, I am a truck driver but I like this Maintainance job really, I show many videos but this is the best video with a good teacher and coworkers. I will have to finish all videos. Thank you again

Remove the oil fill cap and look for blow by. Could be piston rings

Where is part 4
Ok so u said you left it at tdc 1 what if you are not sure where it was left at tdc 1 or 6 how do you know where to put gears on ? Or do u put it in what ever position and start overhead accordingly?
I always set the crankshaft at TDC, I confirm this by the flywheel and the timing pin on the side. The engine (crankshaft) will always be TDC (as long as it hasn’t been moved or rotated. Both number 1 and 6 will be all the way up (TDC). Once you put the cylinder head on nothing changes. Once you put the intake CAM and exhaust CAM. The marks on the CAM (little triangle on the tooth) will be your starting point.

@@CarlosDieselElectric ok so pretty much as long as pin was installed and dot on flywheel is against that inspection plate marker im good I can install the cams with triangles up ?

When I said put Gears where ever I mentioned to say as in timing marks down as if it was in tdc6 or up as in tdc1 but now it makes perfect sense
