Another good video, keep them coming, was looking to purchase a second laptop, i heard AMD riyzen 5 an above was better? But gonna stick with getting another the i7. I'm using asus 14inch zenbook. Was hoping you would mention a bit about best screen size? As when i go on serato settings, it dont show bottom of box unless i scale my laptop down? Lol Also what are your thoughts on hi res display? Will it slow things down? Thanks bro, look forward to more videos.✌
A lot of people have been commenting saying the new AMDs work and are great but the problem is the DJ program people don't write the programs supporting these processors and won't help you if you have issues because they don't recommend using AMD. So for me I wouldn't take the risk but maybe talk to someone here in the comments who uses it and they can help better. Screen size is personal preference. I like small screens some people like big. The problem you were having has to do with your actual display settings, make sure they're all good
Serato now does support AMD Ryzen... but they don't specify. If you're using serato dj lite , the first version to use AMD Ryzen is version 1.5.5. If you use DJ pro the first version which is 2.5.5 supports AMD Ryzen.
Great topic! Solid info. I'm getting snaps and pops on output. I believe it's coming from the Windows OS and resources on HP laptop. Moving to the MAC. Just could not decide between Pro and Air. Thanks for sharing info!

So glad I ran into this video I have a question, what can you say about HP stream with Celeron processor and 4 GB RAM and 64 GB internal space. I just picked up this computer because it was only $200 I'm trying to use a Pioneer SB3 controller and Serato DJ light for some mobile DJing. Do you think this will work? I hope it will because I already bought it I'd like to hear your thoughts on it also, I can't seem to find an answer to my next question, what about chromebook and pioneer sb3 With some sort of DJ software? I've heard rumors it is possible but I am not sure thank you so much for any help you can give me
Serato does not work with chromebook. Only windows 10-11 or any MacOS running Catalina 10.15 to 11 big sur to 12 montery.. as for processors the minimum is a i3 for Intel... AMD Ryzen or even Apple M1. Go to best buy and look for a windows computer with a i3 or i5 processor and 8GB RAM.

So whenever I change something on one computer it syncs to the server and the other computers get those changes. I do need to make sure everything is synced and make sure RB is only active on one PC before using another. But I'm used to it.
@@IanDeVos Wow, that sounds like quite a system, and thanks for providing me with the info. It looks like I will have to do a little more research being on a Mac and using Serato DJ Pro. Have a great one, and thanks again for the response!
Does anyone know if they've adapted to the M1 chip yet?
Hey Nick...my issue is... getting the laptop to have a crisper sound to it internally...not sure if it's a stems issue or what...I stream on a platform and when I go live into say..a second life platform...it sounds like it's all bass or filtered!!! There's nothing in the Dell 15 that shows up as tremble or bass or equalizer...and this is my streaming laptop...I'm still getting this one tweeked for gigs...any suggestions
Lol
Also what are your thoughts on hi res display?
Why avoid the M1?
Great topic! Solid info. I'm getting snaps and pops on output. I believe it's coming from the Windows OS and resources on HP laptop. Moving to the MAC. Just could not decide between Pro and Air. Thanks for sharing info!
Hi Nick. Just Bought the Rane One.
Is the Alienware M15 R5 a good choice?
I have a macbook pro 2013 and it purges/deletes 1000s of songs. Any body have this issue or heard of it?
I think I’m about to buy a 2012 MacBook Pro i7, 8gbs ram, 500gb hard drive. Should work flawless for now. That’s coming from my current PC. i5, 12gbs ram, 256gb hard drive.
Do you have any advice for buying a laptop strictly for live streaming DJ sets?
Does macOS Monterey 12.3.1 work?
Hey Nick! So if my Mac has an Intel i3, I can’t mix with it? 😢
Have you ever had a crash in the middle of your set? Or annoying system updates?
Hey buddy just saw your video and I know this was a yr ago but I'am now looking for a new Mac book that is M1 or M2 are they now compatible with traktor or serato now?
Hey Nick , I have a old school 2010 17 inch (bible) MacBook Pro with 8gb ram (dual core i7) running high Sierra with the current serato dj pro to my Rane setup and it works great.
oh shiiiiiit i remmeber those! they made them in white, shit was fresh haha
how did you get high sierra os on a old MacBook, I have one and apple won't let me upgrade the os?
@@pauldickson6688 when high sierra came out I put it on a flash drive.
Macbook Pro 16 Intel i9 32gb ram 1T SSD .
One for you Nick, a windows model XMG dj15, don't think you can get it in the USA. Real good.
SSD Storage also look into. HHD moving parts. Not good for bass speakers or around sound.
Very true!!
I am an Alienware guy.. its been great for years
True those computers are great
I'm looking for a new window or mac computer to dj at home what should I look for?
This video will absolutely answer that question lol
Wait. I have big sur (rookie mistake) and it worked without any problems with serato from what I can tell.
I have a Macbook air 2014 i5, 4 ram. Yes I need to upgrade but I'm just starting out as you can tell from that rookie mistake mentioned above.
