I've been finding that Ethan is actually fairly strong in IS3, especially if you get a relic that does damage during stun, freeze, or bind, and has a fairly unique property of being able to stall both phases of Tide-Hunt Knight while attacking slow enough to not get stunned by him.

In all seriousness, if you have to catch up on IS2 candles or are trying that dank, new IS3 Indigo is a good pick from the Defender/Sniper/Caster squad since she is a pretty good duck hunter for only 2 hope. She's also not too hard to make work if she's a waifu unit for you, just make sure you raise Ethan alongside her and you'll have yourself a nice, cheep, 2 unit combo for things you don't want to be close to your defense.

Do you all know that indigo can be combo'ed with glaucus? She wont attack enemy who get root, and glaucus s2 emp roots all enemy for +- 4 sec. It gives time for her to charge indigo attack. And we can combined them.with blue poison who hit so fast They are a nice combo, game and lorewise
being one of the like 3 people who actually like using indigo i have to hard disagree that her module is unnecessary imo her module is absolutely integral to her playstyle since contrary to what funny number would suggest shes not a dps i would put her more in line with ops like pushers or pullers you ideally want her to back up an actual dps or you want to make her stall a lane for a bit having a reliable ranged bind option is what she is best at providing (although HG did their best in screwing her over by giving her a max of 81% chance of binding) most other ops that can do what she does are either 6 stars or are less reliable

And she cared me so much, that she is still the only caster I built(I have ifrit and carnelian waiting for their turn which will never come). So yes, Indigo is an amazing operator and comes in handy if you know how to use her. Overall she is fine but not a priority to build if you dont want to, she is just a good stall.

And what's better than an attack with 81% bind chance? That's right! Multiple attacks with 81% bind chance! So long as Indigo has to handle just 1 target, and she will have a lot of opportunities to do so in the game, she can always get to try to bind the target multiple times at once. The first attack allows her to throw the bind dice 5 times (That counts her normal attack that comes with the 4 charges), and the following attacks, 3 times, for 20 seconds. 81%? Nah, it has to be extremely close to guaranteed bind at that point, so long as S2 lasts. And don't get me started on the bonker fact that bind_immune is not a thing in the codes of Arknights. Nearly every enemy that can walk in Arknights can be bound just as they can be slowed. Such a great disable!
This video is definitely masterfully crafted in each and every sentence, editing and unrelenting Indigo worshipping. However, my Indigo will stay at E2 lv40 S2M3 with stage 3 module, as I need to take each and every single chance of her binding me to satisfy my fetishes.
I have her maxed out and i would say the best place for her is in IS2/3, her s2 is really good against early ducks and bears, sadly her bind cant make hoverboard enemies drop
I will say that Franka's module taught me just how much more reliable 80% activation rate is, considering I had to deal with 50% coinflips before. Fun video.
So two minor things that you completely missed. One she doesn't have a 20 [27% with module] chance to bind, she has a 20/27% chance to bind PER stored attack. Therefore when using skill two she has 3x81% chance to bind an enemy. It's not guaranteed but its a 99% chance to keep an enemy within range. Her second skill also does 20% of her attack per second to enemies bound in her range. Not enemies she binds, enemies that are bound. Combine her with someone like Ethan or Magallan who have constant bind and you can nuke entire hoards of enemies. She also scales hard with aspd buffs so in stuff like SSS she can almost perma-stall enemies

I watched some other YTbers using Indigo/Ethan/Podenco to stack the mobs and any aoe caster to do the job (like those trees in chap 11) so for cc is at least quite decent, maybe HG was wrong with Indigo so she had to be support class instead x) jk
