Thank you so much for saving me from the communication misunderstanding . You teaching style is really fantastic and clear and concise. This lesson is so conceptual.
Thank you so much ! My ambiguous understanding of If and when is cleared! Most importantly, You let me know these two words can be chosen on the situation. As an English teacher, It was very useful skill to let students know the different nuances on similar expressions. Thank you !!
Thank you for your clear explanation it helped me to explain to my Japanese teacher of English. We love using your media, keep up the wonderful and easy to understand explanations.
Thank you so much mam. Please keep session even on reading comprehension, cloze test, connector and error detection. Once again thank you sooooooooooooooo for such a great effort. God bless you and your family mam.
If is a indefinite whilst when is a definite. Though I’ve seen commonly used phrases using them both together such as “if and when it arrives we will open it”. Is that not a contradiction or at the least redundant? What does when in this context convey that if doesn’t?
I want to know in which cases is better to use one of the words in these pairs. When is better to use the other: -sheer and utter; -problem and issue; -work and job; -fight and battle; -above and over; -under and beneath; -use and utilize.
"If your boyfriend annoys you, and trust me, he will, keep your calm." What am I supposed to understand from her friend? The IF is hypotetic here or she is insulting me.
Very good and helpful video. I'm definitely going to show this video to my friend. So, could I say this? (when I show my friend the video, I'm sure my friend understands the difference.)
::ALERT:: before you potentially waste 9 minutes watching this: if you came here, like me, under the impression this video was about to explain the use of the idiom _"if and when"_ as a whole.. like _"we will deal with that issue if and when it happens.."_ as well as the distinction between using _if and when_ vs. _when and if_ ... that is not at all the case here, this video merely explains the difference between the _individual_ words _"when"_ and _"if"_ and is meant to eliminate any confusion when using each word _separately.._ it basically only pertains to non native english speakers and possibly to little kids who are just learning how to talk.
hi teacher! i hi teacher! i have Question about grammar Question about grammar .which one is correct . *it was in 1979 when i graduated from the university.or *it was in 1979 that i graduated from the university.
How do I know when I can leave the "will"? For example in your example "if your wallet gets stolen, call me", why is there no will? The rule for if-senctences is simple present with will future, but I constantly see the will future being skipped. I loose my mind
miss alysha can u explain the word TOP please and its use.. cause my friends keep using top as an expression just like "thats awesome" and i get really embarassed by them.. omg.. please please... they say thats top or just top.. omg
your way of teaching is super but your teaching looks as if your are a doll.... why because only your hands move no other is move ..this is only for fun not for serious mom...i love you madam
"I am going to the concert if I can get a ticket", this is like this in my English book, but why is there no "will"? Why not "I will go to the concert if I can get a ticket"? Please help
I think it's the same as ”if” or ”when”. You use ”am going to” when you are 100% sure you do something. Like ”I am *going to* go to the dentist later.” And ”will” when you can do something perhaps. Like ” I*will* come *if* my mum let's me”

First example really hit me where it hurts :D To me that's a 'when' question, 'if' actually sounds weird. Kinda sad.

When is more in expectation. If is a possibility.

There is no "will" because "call me" is imperative, not future.
