Use If for conditional situation. for example : If i study English regularly, you will get good score in Ielts.
Ues Whether for alternative or more options to choose. example :
Please, tell me whether or not you are attending to the meet up.

Good job teacher 👩🏫
The difference between "if" and "whether" lies in their specific usage. While "if" is an adverbial conjunction expressing a condition, "whether", on the other hand, functions as a quasi-correlative conjunction in that it is used with "or" to express a choice between two things.
Yea. Se said it above, whether you have been listening or not.
thank you nice lesson bye

Thank you for this very good explanation. I appreciate it.
Do you have some exercises to practice this new knowledge?
*IF* - for conditional statements, like for example _" _*_If_*_ I quit my job, I'll find a new one"._
*WHETHER* - for alternatives/choices, for example _" _*_Whether_*_ or not you are going to accept my invitation, please let me now"_ or _"Advise us _*_whether_*_ the museum is open"._
Wish you all guys only the best! 🙌 Let's boost our English speaking skills together! 🔥🤩
Advise us whether the museum is open OR NOT.
@@satsumamoon Nah, you actually can omit "OR NOT", natives do it all the time
Hello beautiful greetings of colombia 🇨🇴❤🇺🇸
I love your accent
اليشا 💐
Thanks for your explanation. I exercise with DUOLINGO. They have made a new design and probably some new teachers since this month. Now, there is no sentence with IF anymore. Each conditional sentence includes WHETHER.
Great
good job
Hehe I am your student from BURMA, Teacher Alisha
So generally we use " if" for conditional and "wether" for alternatives/choices and after preposition, before infinitive sentences. Isn't it?
👍
thanks for class but in the next time talk plz about Both and
🙏🙏
"I’m not sure if he keeps his promise."
I a student from Asia Alicia :)
❤️❤️❤️❤️
👏👏👏👏
حلووو
❤❤
I wonder if he speaks English !
I was asking myself about whether I should learn French !
You can call me if the weather is nice !
Please correct my mistakes if I made them .😉
Miss, can we use only "whether" instead whether or not?
Nigeria
Could I say: "I can't decide if I buy a watch or a clock." ? Or this sentence is wrong because we have 2 options?
Is it correct to use "whether" in a sentence without using "or" like for example instead of "She asked WHETHER OR NOT she could invite a friend to dinner" we write "She asked WHETHER she could invite a friend to dinner".
I wonder weather you read every comment. Good example?
Can we use only infinitive words after Whether ?❓
I'm not sure whether you answer questions here. Is it correct?
I think it should be whether vs either course rather than if vs whether
Is "I can't decide if I buy a watch or not" correct?
☕🍰🥀👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
3:13 (pause video) Hi there! 🙂
Hello madam
Whether = or not , isn't it?
