- A huge thank-you to to the super talented Michael Andrews for giving me permission to use his beautiful artwork for this Victorian ambience. Everyone go have a look at his ArtStation here: www.artstation...
Welcome to this week's cozy ambience, which is set in the Victorian era (so June 20, 1837 - January 22, 1901). In it you'll hear calming rain sounds, horses clopping by, people walking in gravel, crows cawing, and some relaxing nighttime sounds. I loved making this ambience because I love history (particularly the Victorian era, the Edwardian era and the 20s!), and so it was nice to imagine what it might've sounded like back then. There was more I wanted to add, but I was short on time this week. I'll do more videos set in the Victorian era eventually!
Hope you enjoy this cozy ambience, and I'll see you next week for another!

I love the strong autumn vibes in this ambience. Hope you enjoy the relaxing rain sounds, soft bells, crows, horses clopping and nighttime sounds!
Thanks for watching!

OMG !!!! I just love this one ❣️❣️❣️ Everything ! The horses , the lights , the buildings ... And of course the rain gives the perfect COZY VIBES !!!! ❤️ THANK YOU Autumn Cozy and Michael Andrews for your great work !!!!
See you soon my cozy friend ❣️🤗
Hi Autumn Cozy! This is defintally much more an autumn video which I've really needed... it's not even July and yet I'm craving those cool, breezy and rainy days of autumn. Thanks so much for this new ambience, those mansions look both amazing and mysterious. The fog rising and the bugs swarming around the lamp posts make it much more alive as well... the clopping of the hooves on the streets take me to the time of the carriage when horses ran the streets instead of cars... peaceful times, better times. Thanks so much, this ambience for sure is truly amazing! :] :]
Black Wolf , I agree ! 👍
The bats 🦇 suddenly made it all a bit Scooby Doo lolol

This is lovely thank you, perfect for helping me focus on my research paper instead of my children's chatter :) They like to listen with me as well, and get excited about the horse hooves. These videos are great for enhancing creativity as well, we like to talk about what the people inside might be doing, and how the people outside can't wait to go in and warm up by the fire.

Come along now, Holmes. We have a garishly early appointment tomorrow. Must I meet with him, Dr. Watson? Now now, Sherlock. We had this issue the previous week. Sherlock you are my sidekick and a renowned crime solving aficionado, and I intended to keep this little charade for as long as possible. Do try to breathe. My dear fellow as long as you remember my words you'll be fine. And for goodness' sake Sherlock, don't say anything about the case to anyone including Mrs. Marsden. You've landed us in hot water without a moment's thought last time we met Mr. Principle.
I'm sorry Doctor. Why that's perfectly fine Sherlock, so long as you do not get carried away again. I need you looking the part and please do stay sharp. Moriarty will certainly be distracted, I shall gain access to his offices there was something about that painting. What painting, Doctor? I need to be one step ahead of Moriarty, he is getting too close to working out you are not really a good crime solver as I've been making you out to be. But you are Dr. Watson! Time is getting along now Sherlock, I do require my scotch. Let's grab a carriage at once, no time to lose.
You need your beauty sleep Mr. Holmes. And please do not mention adrenochrome, not even to Scotland-Yard. Alright Dr. Watson, what's adrenochrome again? Our carriage is here, climb aboard we've no time to waste Mr. Holmes. I'm beginnin' to like this world you've created, Dr. Watson. I've never been as proud in all me life, as now Doctor.

@@WhatALoadOfTosca They took pride in the products they made. They did not take safety precautions.
@@maryfreebed9886 Not so Mary. It was nothing to do with safety. Companies exploited employees and the public buying products. There were many products that were dangerous, not by accident, but deliberately to be cheap and make a quick profit. The Victorian era was an appalling era.
@@WhatALoadOfTosca I was under the impression that it was a combination of wishing to save money, lack of knowledge of the harm of the means of saving money, and lack of regulation. They took pride in the outward appearance of what they made as far as that was possible without a full knowledge of how to make it safe. How many beautiful cribs and prams did they produce which are beautiful to display but into which you wouldn't put a live kid, only a doll or a plant pot?
@@maryfreebed9886 I think we are going to go round in circles. There certainly were craft people but the Victorian era was more concerned with capitalism and exploitation to achieve it. It cannot be romanticised of made to look better. I really can't see us agreeing here.

Imagine being a paperboy getting up at 5 in the morning when it's still dark, walking down the street to the newspaper company, passing closed and dark shop windows to get your stack of papers, then walking around the city, up cobblestone steps and across stone bridges delivering them as the sun slowly rises and lights up the city and gradually, bit by bit the sound of voices greeting each other, hoof-steps across the paved streets and the bustle of shop-owners setting up fills the air. You deliver your last paper, then head to the coffee shop where you get your usual coffee and a toasted bagel with cream cheese from Mr. Butters, watching the street, now full of carriages and people.

This is the very first video of this type I ever found, just a couple of weeks ago! Since then, it seems there's tons of them popping out all over the place even though I've been wishing to find something like this for AGES, but didn't know how to look for it!
I had to build a whole new category to store them in, but this is my real favorite! He can, and does frequently, but just doesn't always stay that way! So, I put the tv on the timer for two hours, and we're off! Thanks for doing these!

Makes me want to go back to that time just to hear the quiet. 🤫 I imagine it was pretty quiet at night with the occasional horse carriage and maybe even people carrying on conversation. Definitely not car horns nor airplanes flying over.
It was really really loud actually. People complained about noise constantly. Street vendors were ever present, as were all kind of street acts (with or without animals/Musical instruments). Carriage wheels on cobbles are so loud that straw was put down in front of houses when inhabitants were sick or lay dying. Shops were open late at night too.

Go to Mackinaw Island in Michigan if you like this. Outside at night in what amounts to "downtown" and all you'll hear is horses walking around. No cars or engine sounds. Boat horns out on the lake. What it might have been like in the 1800s. You have to be there to realize that no matter where you are in America, even in the deepest rural areas you will always hear engine sounds because that sound will carry for more than 5 miles. Mackinaw offers a chance to find what no modern sounds is like, since the island is miles out in Lake Huron from shore!
