I was in such a horrible spot. Complete rock bottom. I was a horrible alcoholic with no ambition. Following his advice has changed my life. Nowadays I workout almost every morning, I train jiu jitsu several days a week, I quit smoking cigarettes (after 15 years of smoking) and started running! I quit taking adderall and learned how discipline can replace it at work and it has!! It all started with 20 minute morning walks. Literally! That got the ball rolling. The more momentum I got the more motivated I became to better myself and it’s a night and day difference between me now and me 2 years ago.

If you feel secure in your small step, see the ground is safe, then you can build more without it crumbling all the way down at the first sign of trouble. If you are secure in your steps, most you can fall is that last step, not all the way down like à house of cards

The problem is age, after some decades you do not have years to catch up, if you experiment when young, you can do what he says! if you were any good it would have shown by now and people who succeed over 45,50 are people who were really going after life and just not have maid it yet! If you start over 40 and you really never lived, due to whatever, you are so far behind, your mind believes not, and nobody will give you hope, just like they did when younger!
I agree BUT, you should still set a high goal that inspires and scares you a bit. THEN break it down into smaller achievable goals you can hit (micro wins). I upload about things like this. Subscribe if you want to hear more about similar topics.
Jordan Peterson just a dooe with good verbal skills and has decent insights because of rumination and depression and just says things that are obvious/his regrets. What he says is nothing impressive but we live amongst sheep who are yearning for someone to give them direction. This man was also a drug addict and also refuses to condemn Israel for their genocide for mo for. He also promotes free speech but advocates canceling anyone who is “noticing” and then blocks people that he would say are overweight and live in moms basement who shouldn’t be paid mind

Two months of progress, still I feel I’m far better than when I started, I accepted the fact that I had to progress little by little and be patient.
I lost 100 lbs and fixed my heart and head. It took 100 little changes to get there. Diet and exercise work!
