For swiftstride, choosing after result is fine and represents better control of mobility for units that have swiftstride. They are often fragile and swiftstride makes since for units that have fire and flee. It is unambiguous from rule update anyway.
1:16 I was so confused by your reference to daylight saving and having more light on the evening, until i remembered you guys were in Australia. Agreed that is far superior to normal time, we moved into winter time over here in the UK and it's miserable it being dark by 4-5pm... long winter begins now.
Good episode as usual lads, listened Spotify and here for the algorithm Gods. How/where do we ask patreon questions? Is it only a certain patreon tier?
Dropped by MOAB to visit a few people I hadn't seen since the 7th ed days, and kept looking at Andrew trying to work out where I knew that face from. Now I know.
The shade deathstar doesn't work if you play cover rules correctly since half of the models would be at hard cover almost all the time. People just hand waive that rule and roll to hit with no penalty and... surprisingly it's "good". The wood elf and high elf units that do this have access to ignores cover rule so they don't suffer those penalties
30:56 how about for every duplicate of a unit in an army, those multiple units collectively cost a certain percentage more points. For example let’s say you bring 3 units of x, unit 1 cost 100 points, unit 2 cost 125, unit 3 cost 120. Perhaps we could say “10% tax per duplicate unit”, which would take those three units from costing 345 points collectively to almost 450. A bit convoluted I admit.
No thanks, people that have been playing Warhammer for a long time know that universal comp systems always cause unintended problems. For WTOW the composition of lists needs to be controlled for specific armies in list building rules as done presently. That is where issue should be addressed if needed.
For the Manor, I would think about just putting a template underneath the part with the fence so that the fence could be removed, and just call the building impassible terrain, while the fenced in area and template belot it is difficult terrain.
Thank you guys for the great podcast! About the battle against the darb elves, are you sure the assassin had an ogre blade? It costs 65pts and this character can get up to only 50pts of magic items.
Yeah hit and miss. It seems all High Elf cav need support to do well in a tougher fight. As for impetuous my list tries to get in combat ASAP so it's no too bad. Otherwise it was trying to keep them outside of max charge range. I only failed 1 impetuou test so it wasn't too bad.
With comments around what to change I see a lot of comments around the discord which is really a 2nd edition wishlist on structural changes to core rules (like making swiftstride D3 etc). I much prefer the softer discussion about things like a TO saying swiftstride must be declared pre roll/adding in new terrain that removes swiftstride etc. Much more realistic and I think more palatable?

I think it was actually a witch Hag
@@Zenfoxgames yeah sorry. Your right Zenfox.
Great effort from the High Elves , how do you rate the Dragon Princes , worth the points ? And Impetuos a problem ??

Why not use the whole manor as your "lonely tower" which is enterable by infantry as per the usual rules
Yeah coulf of been an idea to mix it up abit. Usually its just a speed thing, easier to go impassable. Im not sure what others treated it as.

No thanks, many TOs just dont have enough knowledge across all armies to make this kind of call.
