Hello everyone, in today's video I've shared with you 1o of FlyLady's best tips of all-time, tested and implemented by me in my home :) And my question of the day is: which one of the FlyLady tricks you use at home, let me know here in the comments.
The one thing I always do is clean as I cook and rinse dishes and place in the dishwasher after we eat. Keeps the kitchen looking much cleaner all the time!
My name is Rani from Indonesia. Sorry about my English, is not good. I very interested with tips about cleaning room and want to be use it to my home.but I don't know how to start it.
I use the Clean Zone method and I use it almost daily; I have a routine of starting by self-care of myself, going to the kitchen, drinking water, clean and sanitize the kitchen, make the DIY cleaner for the day filled with essential oil, go upstairs, make the bed, clean the bedroom, go to the bathroom, clean and sanitize the room, open the windows, water the plants. I go downstairs, make a cup of tea with a light breakfast, have my devotion time/prayer, check my calendar, make necessary phone calls, go to the home office and pay bills and once a week call the bank to complete the home finances reconciliation for the week; I do a load of laundry while cleaning up the downstairs bathroom; fold the laundry, put it away; I always turn on the diffusers in the downstairs area of our home; I plan the meals for the day and pre-prepare. I live in the United States in Tennessee, I am retired.
It's a good rule to follow for those who try to make everything perfect. I spend way too much time on things that shouldn't be as consuming as I make them out to be.
I like to clean up the kitchen in the a.m. while the coffee is brewing, and anytime during cooking. That's a great use of time. I also use the turbo 5 minute clean up often, and once going, keep going longer from the momentum. ;) Still working on the clutterzones where everything lands, but there are definitely improvements, lol Thank you
Hello from Finland! 💙 Thanks so much for this video! I got tons of inspiration from it! I'm not familiar with the FlyLady system, but after watching this video I desided to try that 15-minutes-cleaning thing. I have to admit that I was quite sceptical at first: I mean that 15 minutes is such a short time and even though I live in a 33 square meters studio apartment, how could I get anything done in just 15 minutes?🤔 But I set on my timer and started of my kitchen area. I emptied my dishwasher and put in the dirty dishes from the sink. Then I decluttered the kitchen counter and my very small kitchen table and wiped them with a micro fibre cloth. Then I made my bed very fast and picked up couple of dirty clothes and some miscellaneous stuff from my living area and at that point the 15 minutes was up. I was simply amazed. My whole apartment looked sooo much cleaner than just 15 minutes before! Such a difference, so THANK YOU! 🥰 And now I go to shine my sink! 😁 Btw, I love your accent! It sounds Russian to me. Here in Finland we have lots of people from Russia so I hear very similar accent almost everyday!😊❤
Hello and thank you for the feedback 😊 I am happy you liked the 15-min technique. You are absolutely right, I was born and raised up in Russia. Now I live in the EU.
Shining my sink!!! Before I cook, I fill the sink with hot water (saw that tip on your channel the other day)I put dishes in it as I go along. Washing up is so fast this way, I don't think I need a dish washer! I finish off with rubbing the sink with 24% vinegar mixed with a few drops of concetrated dishwasherliquid, for that deep mirrorlike polish. Gamechanger!! Love your channel, just subbed up! ❤❤❤
@@Mizzfm1 I tried to look up the correct word. "Vinegar" was what I got. I mean the kind of "vinegar" you would use to pickle vegetables with. It's a clear liquid that's available in 12 and 24 %. I don't mean red wine vinegar or white wine vinegar. Hope that clarifies a little. The 12 % didn't have any effect on shining my sink at all. Not in my opinion.
Bio carb and a fresh lemon works or bio carb and white vinegar or if heavily lime scaled I use viakil and use a sponge with a green scourer leave for 5 mins rinse with warm water and buff with a microfibre cloth with all methods
Thank you. I find the zone cleaning so helpful. That way I get around the house in a month and every room gets some tidying done. Love your videos, so helpful.
Omg!!! Thank you sooo much for this video!! I am a very messy person. And the home gets very overwhelming as the messes piles up all the time so I just leave it for a week. 😳 You made a comment about stop being a perfectionist! I thought me... a perfectionist hell no!!! 🤣😂 Then it dawned on me. My mother was a perfectionist and I was always told I wasn't doing things to her standards ans she would just do them for me. This created this mentality that everything I did wasn't perfect!!! Holy crap! I've spent yearsssss in therapy to figure out what is wrong with me and you just helped me solve it in one video!!!!! This just opened up a whole new world for me!! Thank you so much!! Setting a timer and cleaning my living room right now!!!
I use the "shine your sink" tip and "make your bed" everyday for certain. Thanks to you, I finally understand "zone cleaning". You explained it very simply and concisely. Thank you!!! Hope-full in Hope, Indiana, Melissa V
I try most times to have a clean sink without any dirty dishes before I go to bed at night because when I wake up in the morning I don't want to see dirty dishes.
Color Catchers are one of the best inventions! I actually wash all my clothes together in cold water with a color catcher. No more separating whites vs. colors!
I absolutely love your channel! I am a new subscriber. I was diagnosed with a very serious autoimmune disease that causes incredible fatigue and chronic pain. I for over 25 years I kept a beautifully clean house. But, things did get out of hand when I could not physically take care of cleaning. My husband did his best, but he doesn't see things that are out of place. (He does a fantastic job of being my caregiver!) So I created designated areas of the house as "no clutter" zones, like the kitchen counter and dining room table. Then I de-cluttered a large amount of decor, collectibles, and simplified how I decorate my house which makes cleaning easier. I really like the idea of setting a timer and many of your other suggestions. Thank you for your channel! Patti xxx
Hello Patti, thank you very much for your helpful tips! You are doing a great job! If you really want to do something, you'll find a way. If you don't, you'll find an excuse
@@OrgaNatic Well, my "excuse" is that I am very weak most days.... and it is not safe for me to force myself to be productive. So, to rephrase your comment, "If I really want to do something, I have to wait until I have energy and am having a good day." I found your comment to be quite harsh.
@@Patti-1962 calm down!! What organatic meant is that you are still keeping your house as neat as possible in your difficult condition. She is saying that you are still finding a way to get rid of clutter and organize your place and you are NOT finding an excuse, rather you have the will to make all the effort. Sometimes I divide one room into zones. The bed and underneath in the bedroom for example, the dresser and the area nearby it, the bedside table, and then dusting and the floor for vacuuming. It helps to make an overwhelming job seem much smaller and easier to accomplish.
Clutter is a great 👍 tip 👍 thank you for your stylish 😀 calm videos . Filing looking forward to the new video. Lovely home & style you have colour is so relaxing & fresh .

Hello and thank you for the feedback 😊 could you please tell me from which country you are and what’s difficult to understand in my accent? Is it a wrong intonation, grammar mistakes or do I often pronounce words in a wrong way? Beginning September I am going to have English lessons with an American teacher and your feedback will help me A LOT by knowing what I have to practice first of all 😊 thank you very much in advance for your answer ❤️
OrgaNatic i think you speak english perfect you just generally have a heavy accent. I guess then i would say your pronouciation. But i wouldnt make any changes! Just keep talking and practicing. I think its great when non native speakers make videos in english.
OrgaNatic i also wanted to say the “accents” dont connotate anything you need to change. It just depends on whos listening and what you are used to hearing. I am from northern nj in the U.S. and different people would say i have an “accent”.

Hi Julia, please check my today's video. I reviewed there a very cool cordless vacuum cleaner (cordless). The one from this video is worse than my new one.
Just bumped into your video for the first time and what do I see? Prince Polo which is made in my hometown 😁😁😁 liked and subscribed. I love the ideas 😍
I don't know why many people complain about laundry all the time. I wish I had a washing machine that takes care of clothes. I have to hand wash each cloth every day and hung it to dry individually. If you have luxury of getting things done by a machine, do it.
I think it's more about hating one task but not minding others rather than hating doing laundry specifically. I don't mind doing laundry at all, I love the fresh smell and do it regularly. For me it's mopping the floors that I hate... Sounds like you have a great habit in place, even though you don't have the technical support of a machine. Congrats on that! I don't have a dishwasher so I can somewhat understand the pressure of the daily task.
Hi! I don't know your situation, but I do know that people who, for whatever reason, can't have a laundry machine installed, get so called " camper" machines instead. You attache it to your water tap. When you're done, you can put the machine away, if you don't like it up front. You can get them on Amazone. They do a great job! There are also a more affordable, smaller model, where you spin the laundry in a drum by hand. Those fit on a kitchen work top. I think even a smaller model, would save you time and effort. Just a tip! I envy you your self discipline, wish some for myself! 😉
I like the 15 minute tip. Sometimes I clean and organize for 15 minutes, take a break to do something I like and later spend another 15 minutes, etc. Breaking it up into 15 minute segments is less daunting and more manageable. Is the beautiful wallpaper shown in the very beginning in your home? If so please let me know the name and manufacturer. I love it! Thank you.
Hi Victoria, thank you for the feedback. In the very beginning it was bathroom tiles from a polish tiles manufacturer tubadzin. They have really amazing products
Check out her website flylady.com might be overwhelming at first but the secret slob here on UA-cam breaks it down super well start with the baby steps trust me Diane from Denmark is super good too
Hi. Just downsized and moved 2 months ago. Use towels and casual clothes such as knitwear and socks to cushion breakable items, rather than paying for bubble wrap. Bundle hanging clothes still on hangers, movers often have wardrobe boxes. Or just attach 5 hangers with a twist tie or rubber band, and bag them with the hooks out. Use wine or liquor boxes with dividers for drinking glasses and bottles such as condiments, spatulas and ladles. Use smallish boxes for books, as they are heavy.
Start as early as possible packing, it is surprising how many things we have. And some are easily overseen. Choose clothes for the next two weeks and pack the rest. Use clothes for security some delicate items. If you are using moving company move the most precious and important to you items by yourself , if possible. Kitchen, most things on a daily basis can be cooked with few basic utensils: cutting board, knife and 2 pots and pans. Pack the rest- you will be happier later. Moving is a perfect time to get rid of a lot of stuff you haven't been using.
I have a new motto now, if I buy something new I have to get rid of something old. I just found your video and I will be moving within a year, so I am getting rid of a lot of things. Thanks for sharing this video with us
About the clutter in child’s room…….my Mother would sift out some toys (stash temporarily) after abt week or two, bring out and stash another group. She felt everything out at once was distracting to children.
I very much enjoy watching your videos thank you for all the tips. One thing that I do very often is time myself. If there's something I'm having trouble getting at I will spend only 5 minutes a day at it and it is amazing how quickly and effectively taking that short amount of time works. I also spent only one hour cleaning the house every week. The more you do it the more you get it down to a science. It really is quite effective.
I do a lot of the FlyLady system. The morning swish and swipe and )cleaning the toilet with a swish) really keeps the toilet clean. I never have to scrub the toilet. I deserve a clean bathroom
P.S. I am going back to cleaning my room now, I empty out as much stuff as I can and vacuum then I put back only the things I want to keep. There’s a lot of stuff going in the trash today
It’s color catchers, i.e. sheets that absorb and trap loose dyes in your wash water, protecting clothes against color bleeds and helping preserve original colors.
Hi Natalia :) I love your videos. You always sparks joy in something as boring as cleaning the house :) As I'm not a native speaker, I believe everyday is good to learn a little bit more. When I bought bed for my daughter and told my friend about it by saying something like "it wasn't bad, we have a bed", I got her really confused. It was because of my pronunciation. I used to say bad as you do (bed) and it should be said as we read it (bad). Hope you won't find it hurtful in any way :) Greetings from Scotland 🏴
These are normal things in our home. I grew up in a home that was constantly perfectly clean because my parents taught me to clean up after myself everywhere every time and all the time. My home has always been perfectly organized and spotless. I clean my sink at least 15 times a day, my bathroom after everything I do. These are things that take not more than a few minutes but they make such a difference. First thing that I do when I get up from bed is to make it, then I head to the bathroom to brush my teeth and clean my face. I am also OCD so this helps too 🙈🙈
You nailed it Procrastination.. That's the reason for Clutter I think Most people who see these videos are that And Lazy.. They look out for Easier ways to come out of it

Hi, thank you very much :) I don't have a link to the dress unfortunately, because it's 5 years old and was bought in an offline shop in Istanbul :)
@@OrgaNatic thank you for reading my comment and for answering. I will keep watching your videos because they are great. And so are you ! ,🎶
Love you! Subscribed before finished seeing your first video. Learning to organize. What do you suggest for kitchen cupboards? Thank you!
Thank you very much and welcome to my channel 😊 Soon I’ll make a video how I organized my kitchen. Hope you’ll find some ideas on cupboard organizing from it 😊
The timer is definitely my favourite 😊
Thank you for the video! What kind of vacuum are you using in the video? Does it clean thoroughly?
Hi Julia, please check my today's video. I reviewed there a very cool cordless vacuum cleaner (cordless). The one from this video is worse than my new one.
I always make sure I have a clean sink & I put things where they belong after use. I also sort the mail as it comes in ☺
I always make sure I have a clean sink. 😊
I use all these tricks, and enjoy a clean home.
Love your channel!

Glad you like it 😊❤️
I love all your tips! Thank you very much! 💕

Liked the definition of clutter and so true!
Just bumped into your video for the first time and what do I see? Prince Polo which is made in my hometown 😁😁😁 liked and subscribed. I love the ideas 😍
My children love it 😀 Welcome to my channel 😊
Love your little laundry bags. Can you leave a link for those ?
Unfortunately they are discontinued (they are from IKEA)
Just tried the 15 minute timer and it felt fun! I want to keep going for longer haha :)
So happy it worked for you :) I always feel that I want to continue cleaning longer too :)
Thank you for good idea
I use all these tricks and more . 😊💟
I just joined your YT family, love your calming voice and great tips 👍🏻👍🏻❤️🤗💜👵🏼🎶🎶🎶
Hand washed clothes are cleaner. You did great.
Great tips. And where can I buy the beautiful top that you have on?
Thank you very much 😊Actually it’s a dress that my mother bought for me 5 years ago in Istanbul, Turkey.
Where was this small blue laundry bags purchased. Thank you
They are from IKEA, but I think they discontinued them
@@OrgaNaticThankyou for the update I appreciate.
Where do you get that kind of laundry bags?
By ikea, but they are discontinued. I didn’t know that unfortunately
Putting the envelopes in the bin was a bit surprising - don’t you recycle them? I’d never heard of fly lady, so this was very interesting! Thank you.
Check out her website flylady.com might be overwhelming at first but the secret slob here on UA-cam breaks it down super well start with the baby steps trust me Diane from Denmark is super good too
Sorry flylady.net
It was a paper bin 😀 we recycle everything in Germany
OrgaNatic oh wonderful! I thought it was odd as I know you’re very responsible. Xxx
My favorite is to set a timer. I set it for 20 minutes, when the time is up I usually feel like setting it for 20 minutes more!
Hi there, do you have any ideas for packing up to move house? I am getting in a real mess with clothes, books and kitchen utensils in the same boxes!
Hello, next year we are moving abroad and if I am not too stressed, I’ll try to film how I pack my things
Thanks for sharing this video with us
Where did you get those laundry bags
They are from ikea, but I think they discontinued them
Hi from Germany ..love that 15 minutes rule 👍😍
Danke schön :)
@@OrgaNatic 😘
About the clutter in child’s room…….my Mother would sift out some toys (stash temporarily) after abt week or two, bring out and stash another group.
She felt everything out at once was distracting to children.
What brand is your vacuum?
I recommend you the one I reviewed in this video ua-cam.com/video/JBnvNfxkwfE/v-deo.html
Well done, thank you.
I absolutely agree with you 👍
I do a lot of the FlyLady system. The morning swish and swipe and )cleaning the toilet with a swish) really keeps the toilet clean. I never have to scrub the toilet. I deserve a clean bathroom
Looks great ! So when can you come over ? LoL
lovely..whats flylady?
FlyLady is a cleaning method which helps people with housekeeping, founded by "The FlyLady", Marla Cilley.
And Flylady's book "Sink Reflections" is so inspiring, I highly recommend it!
Love your vedios
Thank you very much 😊
Waiting vedio for file organization
Where is your file drawer from
Sorry, what’s that?
P.S. I am going back to cleaning my room now, I empty out as much stuff as I can and vacuum then I put back only the things I want to keep. There’s a lot of stuff going in the trash today
Excuseme lady what cloth you put in the washing machine in the laundry tip . please explain.
It’s color catchers, i.e. sheets that absorb and trap loose dyes in your wash water, protecting clothes against color bleeds and helping preserve original colors.
Can I see your open kitchen in detail as I have the same
Yes, within a month I’ll make a kitchen tour and show you everything 😊
6:12 Masha and the bear was my favourite!!
😀👍
Amei seu vídeo Paraná Brasil.😘
Hi Natalia :) I love your videos. You always sparks joy in something as boring as cleaning the house :)
As I'm not a native speaker, I believe everyday is good to learn a little bit more. When I bought bed for my daughter and told my friend about it by saying something like "it wasn't bad, we have a bed", I got her really confused. It was because of my pronunciation. I used to say bad as you do (bed) and it should be said as we read it (bad).
Hope you won't find it hurtful in any way :)
Greetings from Scotland 🏴
Thank you for the tip 😊❤️ I’ll try to practice it tomorrow
Check it please. I learn the American pronunciation. www.google.de/amp/s/dictionary.cambridge.org/amp/pronunciation/english/bed
Put on timer or a set list of music to dance and clean until music is done. When the last song comes on you know how much time is left to finish.
Nice
Muy buen vídeo
These are normal things in our home. I grew up in a home that was constantly perfectly clean because my parents taught me to clean up after myself everywhere every time and all the time. My home has always been perfectly organized and spotless. I clean my sink at least 15 times a day, my bathroom after everything I do. These are things that take not more than a few minutes but they make such a difference. First thing that I do when I get up from bed is to make it, then I head to the bathroom to brush my teeth and clean my face. I am also OCD so this helps too 🙈🙈
We could all do with a little bit of OCD! ☺
Your home is like an ikea show room!
I love ikea 😊
I like your video's but this time I didn't understand a lot of words of what you said
You can put subtitles on.
Thank you for the feedback
