Here is just a little tip I've found helpful with little ones. I suggest taking 5 minutes before lunch and dinner with the kids for a tidy time. Set the timer, sing a couple of songs (there are you tube playlists available) and do a quick pick up. It's more about the training than the actual box checking. Before long it will be automatic for them and is really a benefit for them to have the habit throughout their life. (Mom of 9)
I agree. I watch my cousin's 2 littles and I do this with their 3yo. I also did it with my girls when they were little. They started "making up" their toddler beds when they were 3. It wasn't like if I did it, but by 4 or 5 yo they could make their twin beds like a grown up.
Wow. What a benefit you provided to your 9 children, to learn those habits, early... which eventually became "automatic". That has probably served them, very well, throughout life.
Watching you brought back such sweet memories of me with my 4 little babies.......so wonderful, so hectic..... you are amazing! I used to do the majority of my cleaning from 9pm-11pm after I had everybody down for night. But for 3 years, I hired a cleaner to do the upstairs bathroom, dusting, sheet changing, vacuuming because my only free time was when they were sleeping and then I didn't want to wake them up! I'll never forget the day I interviewed a cleaner and she looked around my house and said, "oh, you want me to actually clean. most my clients want me to de-clutter, load the dishwasher, and clean the sink"........she didn't want the job, but I felt so proud that I was on top of the clutter! Now my babies are 26, 24, 23 and 22!
I'm 63, and I too wish I had discovered the Fly Lady earlier. I learned how to cook as a child making sugar cookies. At first, Mom did everything and all I did was toss on colored sugar crystals. Then I was old enough to use a spatula and cookie cutter, so she would roll out the dough and I did the rest. Then I was old enough to roll the dough, and soon after, with her by my side, I could make the dough. When I was 7 and could read, I asked Mom if I could make chocolate chip cookies. She wanted to supervise the use of the oven, but otherwise let me do it myself - she checked on me of course! By the time I was 11, I was making the Thanksgiving dinner, Christmas dinner and other big family meals. Not only is it a good skill to have as an adult, it is a wonderful way to build confidence. I have vivid memories of Mom telling me to add the flour or salt or whatever, of her guiding my hand when I learned how to measure things. I cherish those memories. Your children will cherish the memories of helping you swish and swipe and cut vegetables, and they will learn that a little bit done every day can accomplish a lot! Thank you for sharing your beautiful family with. us. Be safe. Be healthy!
Hi! I was thinking about start to teach my child how to cook brazilian cheese bread, a classic in our country. She's 9 years old, and I was with some kind of fear about this project, but after reading your comment I'm more confident. Hope my baby can have such good and sweet memories like you describe. One nice comment can inspire people far far away. :)
@@stephaniebrito456 9 years old is certainly old enough to start helping in the kitchen! I would love to know if you ever did this and how it all turned out. Oh Steph, you are the best! At 72 how I wish I had had you to give me inspiration, confidence and advice all those years ago with 7 kids. But you know what? I’m still learning thanks to you. I love watching and listening and just being part of your family and your life. I’ve done my WHB today, fixing dinner for just DH and me and other things. Thank you so much. 💕
I just found your channel. What a beautiful peek into your day. Thank you for showing us how to do the FlyLady system. I gave up bc I didn’t know how to implement it. Now I do! Thank you again! ❤PS what a beautiful life you have. I liked what you said about doing chores with a smile bc they have to get done. Thank you! I’m 60 years old and forever learning.

But I had not discovered flylady or you back then 😅 but better late than never! Steph, your channel has changed my life so much. No other system / routines worked for me like flylady did! And its your "progress not perfection " attitude , thats why! Thanks for being you and sharing your life here with us!
Ok. 2 toddlers AND a little fella’. Making lovely breakfasts and lunches and dinners. Feeding baby several times. Laughing and dancing with the kids. Walks outside. Tidying up AND zone cleaning. Reading a book with the kids. Laundry AND dishes done. Plus a workout usually fitted in. My mind is BOGGLED. You should be SO proud of yourself. You are a great mom, an efficient home keeper and a wonderful person. More power to you ❤️❤️❤️
This video made me smile so much :) Brings back happy memories. ♥️ You are a wonderful momma. Don’t ever underestimate the importance of what you do. Most important job on the planet. ♥️♥️♥️
Yes! I was thinking the same thing. I worked and I wish I had stayed home with my kids 😢 you can never get this time back to invest in their lives. She is such a great momma ❤️
I watch your videos for a long time now and this one is not usual for you but I liked it very much:) I would like to see more videos like that in the future. Thanks for sharing your day :)
That was a lovely video Steph and it did brighten up my day. Lovely to see such healthy eating going on with your beautiful babies . Brought it all back how busy a young family can keep you but also how much fun they are ... enjoy these years cause they go so fast! Amazing how easy it is to tidy up when everything has a place and clutter is gone😊
OMG! I started utilizing FlyLady about 15 years ago when I was a stay at home mom of four and homeschooling. This brought back memories. Keep up the great work!
Steph, like many of us, I'm watching a lot of TV lately. Oh, gosh, I'm going to sound so snooty, but... here goes. I'm here in my apartment in New York City and have limited my excursions to 3 walks a day with my dog. Right now I'm watching for perhaps the 100th time, The French Chef with Julia Child. Your comment about cooking made me want to reach out and give you a hug. You are an accomplished young woman! Anyway, I'm watching The French Chef, and right now she is talking about chickens. What I love about her is that she make mistakes in the kitchen, on TV, and it doesn't phase her at all!!! I can't tell you how much I've learned by watching these shows and cooking from her cookbooks. If you are faced with some rainy weather, and your children are napping or playing quietly and you have a moment for watching TV (as if!), see if you can find the re-runs on TV. They are often on the public stations, you can find them on Netflix and Amazon Prime as well. I can promise you with absolute confidence, if you get one of her cookbooks, (there is a paperback cookbook that goes with the show), that if you follow her recipe as it it written, it will work! You are doing much harder things right now. Cooking is not hard and you can master it! I am still learning things by watching these shows.
Watching you on the go in this video made me really tired. You had a long check off list and you accomplished so much...with a fantastic smile, no less! God bless you and your cutie kiddos. Thanks for sharing 👍
You are one of the main reasons I tried the FLY Lady system. I got my feather duster last week, (dusted my kitchen ceiling fan first), rags and calendar came this week. I'm still very new and the laundry is the one thing I hate to fold and put away. I'm retired and care for my husband. We had to have a gentle reminder the house needs to be safe for him and me, as well. I love seeing my shiny sink every morning. It's been shining for over 2 weeks now. I'm decluttering, tagging bags donate as I go. Getting rid of paper clutter as I bring it inside from the mail. It's a jungle, but I feel positive about the process. I see fairly clean floors shining as I look across them, a swished and swiped toilet🚽!!! Who knew I'd rave about this? Thanks Stephanie. I loved seeing your sister using the plan. It helped me to decide, "I can do this". My adult kids were super heros to support and help me. Thanks so much!!!
I'm 55and if you weremy daughter I would tell you how very proud I am of you... so I'll say it anyway. Such a great mom & homemaker. THE most important job on the planet is the job you are doing. Well done young lady, well done! The dinner looked fabulous too! You got this! God bless you & your family 🙏❤
I found you a couple of months ago and just wanted to say thank you. You've inspired me to clean up the chaos in my life. One baby step at a time I'm starting to do my routines. And I even did zone decluttering today! Since I've been working from home these past couple of months I've been able to do a little bit here and there throughout the day. And it's starting to feel like a habit. Thank you again Steph!
WOW. My littlies are now adults. You are setting a wonderful example to your family. Just WONDERFUL. I so admire 'young' mums who do it all. And wear makeup. You should be very proud of yourself, your husband, your children, your home, and YOURSELF. YOU are a credit to your own upbringing. Yes, you may have been a 'secret slob' but look at you now. Oh, and one small tip, put a lid on your potatoes, they will cook faster, not steam up the house and it uses less power. I have subscribed and am now addicted. THANK YOU.
I met you when you did the collab with Diane in Denmark. Since then I have been enjoying your videos, learning from you and appreciating your sensible way of navigating your day. You are full of sage advice. Thank you.
Flylady literally saved my life...I struggled so much all my life with organization , raised 8 children with so much guilt never feeling I was good enough. In 2001 a 20 year old son was in a serious car accident out of country! I had no more personal resources in the chaos!Someone showed me the Flylady website and I cried and cried as I realized help was available. I ordered the book and have never felt the same guilt. Fast forward age 71,and 23 grandchildren and her motto , "You are never behind, jump in wherever you are", "You can do anything for 15 minutes" and "Do a 5 minute room rescue". Blessed are you to have discovered Flylady!!! I love this video and will send to daughters and daughter in laws!
I just loved that you took us with you throughout your day and showed how brilliant the Fly Lady system works even with 3 kids. They are all just adorable! I hope you do this more often. Some of us are lacking company too. 😄 Stay well! XXOO❤
💐 You are remarkable, you radiate so much warmth and love and master everything with flying colors. If I am a mom at some point I would like to do it like you. Many greetings from Berlin ❤️
Children learn so much more by example than anything else. You are depositing so much into their young lives every minute of every day. What a huge blessing that you can stay home to give them this gift. You will never regret one moment. Gods blessings on all of you!
I'm so happy to read comments from women over 50 like me who also commented on how I wish I had a role model like you back in the day. I'm 54 & while raising my son I focused more on perfection- seriousness- not having too much fun with my son. It's an inspiration to see how you balance it - you work hard with a great attitude. These videos are a blessing - now & in the future for your children.
That is the key to a good cleaning routine. A schedule, and of course you can’t stick to it all the time. But the thing is,if you can stick to it most of the time, it works! Loved your video, good job.
What a fun and cheering video to watch! I'm a Grandma of 13 now, our 4 children are all grown up and raising their own, so it was wonderful for me to watch your darling children enjoying their day! Your baby's dancing little feet while you worked on dinner and your daughters waking up and reconnecting with you after their naps was so sweet, especially your younger daughter just rejoicing over her pretty dress! I remember many "little old ladies" telling me to be sure and enjoy my children while they were little, because that time goes so very fast. I always assured them that I was, and now I can look back on those lovely memories and just be grateful that I did. I'm glad that you do too.
I enjoyed this very much~ When I had little ones,,,, I was a mess. I admire how you get your kids outside 2 times a day. That is fantastic! Thank you for the inspiration and showing me how it can get done! Great job!
My son loves watching your videos with me! He is 8 taking a break from homeschool to sit on the couch with me while I feed my month old babies. He always says how nice you are and nice you sound lol
What a lovely video and so lovely to see you feeding the baby and see how well he's doing! I think your attitude is great; chores have to be done so you may as well make them pleasant for you all! I hope spring is with you soon! X
I'm glad you included car & purse day. For me, car & purse are like trudging up a mountain of quicksand. But it makes SUCH a difference when they've been done. So I'll try it again, keeping your approach in mind. THANKS!! :-D
thanks for posting this. You make staying home with 3 little ones and keeping a home neat and tidy look so easy. We all know its not. Thank you for your positive energy and sharing it with your videos.
Hi! First time your videos popped up and I subscribed. I'm 51 and a Nana to a 5 year old. (Her and my daughter live with me). So I'm kind of in mommy mode I've been looking for a relatable channel to help me get daily routines. Due to physical disability I don't have as much stamina to clean for hours. Thank you. Your children are beautiful.
This was great! It's almost been a year since I found your channel and my life has totally changed! I need a good refresh as I'm having a hard time focusing since I've been home more! Watched this while i swish and swiped my bathroom and mopped and did a quick wipe of the walls! PS your doing great with that new little one momma! Great work!
Wow! Awesome job with 3 little ones!! Yes, we did the toy rotation system for many years & it was a game changer for us & also made the toys feel brand new when they see them again on the next rotation! We had toys divided into 3 groups & each group got changed about every 2 weeks.... unless it was a very wet run of days!!🥰 Blessings from South Australia💕🐨
This was inspiring. I love an old-fashioned to do list. I brain dump what's on my mind for the upcoming week every Sat or Sun, and pick 3-4 main things to tackle each day. Also, sheet pan cooking + hanging clothes = game changer!
Steph thank you for this video!!! I started to watch it with ZERO motivation for my day. Instead, I turned my laundry, made my bed, & vacuumed our playroom. My reward ? Watching your video after! Stay well - your kiddos are soooo sweet 💜
You have the most beautiful home, family and way of life - so enjoyed watching your video :-D My children are 22 and 20 now, you have the right idea to make chores a normal way of life each day. Best wishes and thanks for sharing x
"Bistro platter" sounds so much cooler than "snack plate." LOL! I started calling it a Ploughman's lunch when my boys got older because it sounds like pub food instead of preschool. So funny. Great video! 🌞
Ive watched you over a year know, but I'd like to say thank you! Thus truths shows us what a day in the fly lady system looks like hands down momma this was amazing with 3littkeones!! Your 3angels are super adorable, you're looking fit Steph! You must be so proud! All your hard work is paying off you even get 20mn of nothing go momma!!!
I have loved the FlyLady for the past the mid 1990’s. It is a huge help, we used to have state fly baby groups, I miss those days. You are doing an awesome job of taking care of yourself and you family.
Great video!! I have been watching your videos since Diane in 🇩🇰 first mentioned you. I have enjoyed and been inspired by all of your videos. Your kids are all so cute and such good helpers!😊
Well done Steph - you are NOT alone - we are all here cheering for you and with you. This too will pass. Thank you for showing us how FLady REALLY works. Wildly impressed by the co-ordinated sleeping - That took me WAY longer than 3 months when I had Baby 3 - but IDID IT - one of the achievements of my life - I still remember 2:10pm on a rainy London Friday in 1986 when all 3 little ones were asleep TOGETHER ..... bless you and your beautiful babes and glorious Canada.
You are such a good mom Steph - letting your kids play and create and run outside! You are so calm thru it all. You made me laugh after the moose comment - I remember back in the day getting my kids all bundled up to go outside in the snow and by the TIME we got everyone’s snow pants and coats on and found gloves they were overheating and I was exhausted lol! Enjoy your videos so much.
You did an amazing job with 2 toddlers and a newborn baby. I really like the Flylady routines. That technique has made my life a lot easier as well. I wished I knew about it when my kids were little. I noticed that you use Nellie's. So do I. Love it.
1. You really are a Superstar! Managing to give quality time to your kids and keeping up with you lady 2. Bunny rabbit plates... I'm almost 60 and i remember having one when i was a young one! Enjoy your lovely family. Stay safe. Be well
I think you are my biggest fly lady motivation. I am a little earlier in my 'recovery' from complete chaos, and though I live alone, I work long hours, and have struggled with stress in the past. The way you think, the way you break it down and make it manageable, and the positive energy, it just have an effect that no-one else have had so far. Love your videos! :)
Thank you for this video! I relate to this so much! As a stay at home Mom of four, I feel this!!! One thing I've worked on is reminding myself that when I'm resting or taking time for myself that is productive, so don't discount that time! You're doing amazing! Thank you for being so real and sharing. I find you so encouraging! I'm so grateful I found your channel!
It was so lovely of you to share your day, made me remember those time when the kids were young and how lovely it was to nurse them 🥰 It also helped to see how you fitted the flylady routine into your day, and that it wasn't just one solid hour or two with each chore being ticked off, the fact you just fitted it in here and there but it still got everything done was great; especially the 15 zone cleaning, I always get mixed up with how long to so that. Best wishes to you & your lovely family 💙
I have to congratulate you on being an awesome Momma! I stayed home with my two daughters (now 25 and 19) and you life reminds me of my life years ago. :) Keep doing what you're doing and continue to cherish your time with them. When your sweet babies go off to college you will be left with fantastic memories that will last forever! I'm happy for you!
I just discovered your channel and I have been binge watching all night. Your kids are sooo adorable, and so lucky to have you. You are a great mom. I plan to watch again tomorrow as I go through my own FLYLADY routines. 👍👍 BTW, I am 82 and have been doing FLYLADY for many, many years (off and on), I am on again now and actually like it more than ever. Diane in Denmark is amazing. I love her clothes!
My favorite video you've done. Thanks for letting us "spend the day" with you. When you said you didn't get your workout done I laughed out loud. Girl you worked out all day.
You have a beautiful family. I have grandchildren in their age-range & look forward to turning your channel onto my daughter who is the mom of three boys

“I didn’t get my workout done” . . . Then Steph proceeds to run non stop all day long. As fly lady would say, “I’m so proud of you!” 🤗
I was thinking the same thing. You certainly had a workout!
Like I above comment...You’ve been running all day with your little...that is a workout!!

Wow! I forgot how incredibly busyit is to have little ones. Mine are 18 and 16 now. It goes so fast. Thank you for sharing your day
You are one of the main reasons I tried the FLY Lady system.
Good job mom!! This brings back memories. I had 4 little ones and nursed them. I love your relaxed attitude. That alone will take you far.
Relaxed?? 🙄
@@CikisHelyzet Yes, she is not upset, yelling, or stressing. She realizes that messes happen, she dances with them, and she gets done what she can.
You’re doing a great job momma!! Happy to know that there are moms who still breastfeed their babies ❤️.
Thank you!! 😊
I love the flylady. Her ideas about how to say organized are just fabulous I love her
Celia Mitchell I’m with ya!!
Yay! Happy to hear it’s working for you :)
THANK YOU.
Loved this! I've been watching you forever but this video was so different. Showed such a fun side of your sweet family!!
I met you when you did the collab with Diane in Denmark. Since then I have been enjoying your videos, learning from you and appreciating your sensible way of navigating your day. You are full of sage advice. Thank you.
I've been FLYing for almost 17 years. I love this system. I don't always follow it closely, but it still works for me.
I loved this!! And it was so helpful to see how you implement all of the flylady routines!
That really helped me too. Now I have a better understanding of how it all fits in together.
I absolutely love hearing these stories! Flylady has also changed my life and I'm so happy to get to share it with others :)
I just loved that you took us with you throughout your day and showed how brilliant the Fly Lady system works even with 3 kids. They are all just adorable! I hope you do this more often. Some of us are lacking company too. 😄 Stay well! XXOO❤
Your calm, positive attitude are an inspiration. Your family is so blessed to have a mother like you in the home.
💐 You are remarkable, you radiate so much warmth and love and master everything with flying colors. If I am a mom at some point I would like to do it like you. Many greetings from Berlin ❤️
This should be required watching for child development classes for junior high and high school. Great job, momma! SAHM is an important job!
SAHM is the most important job in the family! And give all the dad's a kiss too being supportive and for making it possible!
Thanks for sharing your day. Whew! Lots to do but your joy and peace with your family is precious to see.
I love your positive attitude about the chores and about having your girls help. Great job!
Thank you for sharing you normal family life in this strange time, helps me to feel normal. Best regards from a Mom from Germany
Awww you have a beautiful family, and I love how you let the older children be independent.
What a super mom/wife you are. Very practical tips, down to earth and doable. Hope you know how wonderful you are.
Loved this video. Baby is so cute and active, girls so imaginative. Chicken looks delicious 🤤
such a lovely mum - sure your house is clean and tidy but more importantly your children are well looked after, not pressurised, and have a routine.
Hi Steph!
Thank you for keeping us motivated and giving us little silver linings in all the chaos
God Bless! ❤
Hi! You guys keep me motivated! Stay safe, be well
This was great! It's almost been a year since I found your channel and my life has totally changed! I need a good refresh as I'm having a hard time focusing since I've been home more! Watched this while i swish and swiped my bathroom and mopped and did a quick wipe of the walls!
PS your doing great with that new little one momma! Great work!
Thank you so much Shauna💜💜💜 I am so glad to hear you are doing well with the system!
Thank you so much for that! Not only you are doing your normal busy life but also making this video. Inspirational.
This was inspiring. I love an old-fashioned to do list. I brain dump what's on my mind for the upcoming week every Sat or Sun, and pick 3-4 main things to tackle each day.
Also, sheet pan cooking + hanging clothes = game changer!
Loved your DITL video incorporating flylady.
Steph thank you for this video!!! I started to watch it with ZERO motivation for my day. Instead, I turned my laundry, made my bed, & vacuumed our playroom. My reward ? Watching your video after! Stay well - your kiddos are soooo sweet 💜
I loved the costumes on your daughters they where adorable, what a precious time, enjoy every moment they grow up fast!
T Mac My kids are rarely in the same outfit for longer than an hour haha!
Your kids are adorable, and you are truly blessed. They grow up sooo fast. Enjoy every moment.
You have the most beautiful home, family and way of life - so enjoyed watching your video :-D My children are 22 and 20 now, you have the right idea to make chores a normal way of life each day. Best wishes and thanks for sharing x
You are so organized!!! You get so much done without ignoring your kids. You are awesome🌈🌈
I LOVE that you have bins under everyone’s coats! Such a great idea 💡
Fantastic new editing and graphics! Open kitchen shelves look great with multiples of just a few types of items. Cutie-pie baby!!!
Thank you Eileen! I am really trying to improve my editing🙂🙂🙂💜
Great video!! I have been watching your videos since Diane in 🇩🇰 first mentioned you. I have enjoyed and been inspired by all of your videos. Your kids are all so cute and such good helpers!😊
I'm really really proud of you! Beautiful mama with beautiful babies ♥️♥️ you're doing a wonderful job!!
All little kids love to be helpers :) When they realize it's work, you'll have to crank up that positivity even higher to keep the vibe joyous
So true!
I love this!!! So real and I’m so glad. Thank you for just being you💕
Fun and full day. Thanks for sharing so beautifully. Always enjoy your attitude and videos.
We call that a Smorgasbord! We have that for lunch almost daily and it usually have a little leftovers in there somewhere! Love it!
Managing to give quality time to your kids and keeping up with you lady
2. Bunny rabbit plates... I'm almost 60 and i remember having one when i was a
young one!
Enjoy your lovely family. Stay safe. Be well
Thanks for sharing this video! I loved it! Please keep sharing your Day In The Life!!
I really appreciated this video! Nice to see a day in your life!! Would love to see more for the various flylady days of the week!!
Aww thank you so much for the kind comments. Even when days are hard I really try to remember how special this time is with my little ones :)
I love how you make your bed. So simple.
You have a beautiful family. I have grandchildren in their age-range & look forward to turning your channel onto my daughter who is the mom of three boys
