Definitely should’ve mentioned that you have to turn the locking nut right (as if you’re tightening it) before you turn it counter clockwise to loosen it. My dumbass was fighting the nut for an hour stripping it to completely flat lol. I know you show yourself doing it in the video but it wasn’t stated in the caption while you were doing it. All good tho I got the new shifter on lol thank you
If you have visible damage or wear and tear to the outside of the boot and want a like-new appearance then the boot is the way to go. For me the boot wouldn’t stay attached to the shifter and wound occasionally slip down. When you buy the boot, it will come with retainer. Hope that helps!
I ordered them from eBay but shipped from a Honda dealership. www.ebay.com/itm/292377869033?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=I0jiDziMTcq&sssrc=2349624&ssuid=fmtBmKh_Qiy&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY

Nice and easy video . Thanks ✌🏻
I just bought one off of Carmax, my shift rod is super rusty for some reason
Maybe it was in humid area or previous owner left the sunroof open during rain and water got inside?
Did the new boot come with the new locking ring? Or you had to buy it separately
It came with the new locking ring. My old one was broken
@@eddiemcarswhere did you buy it from?
Do you have to stable the ends? I don't have a stable gun unfortunately
No you don’t.
Says it won’t fit a 2013 si how would it not?
It should
Where did you order yours from ?
I ordered from eBay. It came from a Honda dealer on the East coast!
Did you really just put it in gear and took it out without having the clutch in?
Yes.
You don’t need a clutch to go in and out of gear.
@@eddiemcars thank you bro didn’t know that
