As a small business owner myself, I really appreciate this. Tbh even though I was one of the people who wanted to see Halloween hunting videos, I prefer these videos showing what spooky goods are available at smaller businesses because there are a million and a half other youtubers showing what’s at big box stores already, and it’s easy for me to just check those stores irl for myself in an afternoon too . Halloween decor hunting at smaller businesses (like both small artists/ craftspeople or even medium sized online businesses that are just less talked about) is more useful to me because it takes a lot more time and effort to find the good small business finds and I don’t have time for that so it’s helpful to have someone else do that work for me . The reason I watch Halloween decor hunting videos is more for the spooky ambiance and seeing ideas of how other people are decorating which I can get out of small business videos or other types of spooky videos just as easily . There are so many other types of videos I would love to see more of on the spooky side of UA-cam too like videos about spooky decorating or fashion or costumes or diys or food or movie/book recommendations or even Halloween party ideas or other spooky season activities we can do to enjoy the season . I especially like your content for the spooky vintage style inspo since that’s my aesthetic too, so if you did pretty much any content related to that I’d be happy !

I haven’t even watched this yet but I have to tell you. I finally went to Salem and my first stop was nocturne. I also went to the Black veil because of you. They were two of the most amazing stores I’ve ever walked into. I literally would not have found them without you and I am so grateful for your work on making sure that small businesses in small artists and amazing people get the credit that they are due. I would much rather spend my money with these people then with the big box stores.I appreciate you so much

I’ve cut out Temu but I had no idea the big box stores were stealing from artists and small businesses! That’s terrible. Imagine putting so much into something just for a greedy big company to steal it and make bank. TBH though I usually just go Halloween decor hunting for fun and that spooky serotonin boost and don’t buy anything.

What a lovely video! I've been wondering about the big box brands stealing designs recently. I ran into a "ghost walking a ghost dog" figure that seemed to be a pre-existing line drawing when I did some research. I also got one of the new Headless Horseman figures with the triple belt only to run into a nearly identical design on Etsy by a 3D printing miniature creator. I always try not assume ill intent, but it has really made me wonder running into that scenario twice in just the month of July.
I moved from Texas to a country that doesnt celebrate Halloween, and these videos really satisfy my craving for spooky goodness!! Can't wait to see more from you this season!!
I love supporting small businesses! I also bought that black picnic basket from Lively Ghosts, along with some of their body oils. I purchased the At Rest pillowcase from Velvet Apparition (it's lovely) and a spiderweb duvet cover from Sin in Linen, which is another shop with really cool pieces! Life After Death Designs also has functional household items with a spooky vibe. I love my Memento Mori shower curtain from them 🖤
Oooh love this! Everything looked like high quality home decor, not just cheap mass produced junk that ends up in the land fill. I mean don't get me wrong, I enjoy a trip to Michael's as much as the next girl, but you definitely get the point where you want something that looks really nice.
I really enjoyed this video. I think it was unique and different learning about different small shops and their Creativity nothing against the people that go in the major stores and they show you what they have. That’s all fine and good but this was different and unique to see things you’re not gonna see in the big stores I give the video a 10 out of 10.
