How far are you from a producing a pilot? I'd be interested in assisting and funding you when you have something to pitch. I did three years of film production at university when I did my combined Bachelor of Laws / Bachelor of Com Sci - because we couldn't major in the secondary degree as part of a combined degree so it didn't matter what I picked thus I chose what seemed fun to make the credit points up instead. And boy was it ever. But one thing I learned is 99% of people are absolutely incapable of even making indie movies or first year film projects. This is why pilots are essential.
I love when you stray from the crusades and bring the history of other kingdoms and battles to light. I've said this before but thank you for making history fun too learn for me.
My ancestors were Scottish nobility and were from lanark. When William Wallace sought help from the Scottish people my family were some of the first to join his cause. That’s why years later when the English had control over Scotland and posted a new list of lords the families of the supporters were no longer nobility or lords. My family was taken off the list and lost any prestige or anything because of their steadfast support of Scottish freedom. This and being Irish as well makes me look at Ukraine and feel for them being invaded by war mongers. All people deserve freedom from foreign powers imposing will or trying to take over and or take the lives of a people.
The whole "flaying him and sending his skin around" thing is something most people gloss over when saying "yay, William Wallace." It's something people should remember about the man.
@@joshdiaz9773 Unlikely unless they were very secretive about it, consider the ramifications from the Papacy and the King of France if it was known. The English historians are the biggest proponents of this theory, after all how can mere Scots defeat the mighty English army. Also glad your giving Scottish Knights some attention, Sir James Douglas is my all time favourite Knight of this period though King Robert was a Master General and first over the wall during many a siege 🏴🙏💙
It’s an idea by two fringe historians only. There’s some good books that covers this, Uriel’s Machine and the Key of Solomon, the Hiram Key. Take a look at Roslyn Abbey.
@@Halbared Roslyn Chapel was built in the 15th century, nothing to do with Wallace, Bruce but it’s got crypts that apparently are massive however the current owner won’t allow any excavation for obvious reasons, the Templar treasure claims keeps the tourists coming just like Nessie.
Hey J. Stephen are there any historical accountsr guards accompanying emissaries to foriegn courts and encountering soldiers they had met as enemies on the battlefield? I think that would be pretty interesting
How do you evaluate Vlad the Impaler's reign (gaining the approval of Pope Pius II who proclaimed a 'Crusade') in view of his efforts against the Ottoman Turks under Mehmed the Conqueror?
I would love R-C-Hs take on sir James the good, know as the black Douglas by longshanks. from the battle of Bannockburn to Him being killed fighting the Moors while carrying the bruces heart back to the holy land

Please make more English vs Scots history vids!
Moray is pretty underrated, wonder what course the war would had taken had not he died here, his son was also a great soldier.
Wow. Great video!
“The problem with Scotland is that it has too many Scots!” ~ E. Longshanks c.1305
Lol
I don't think Edward Longshanks lived in 1203.
Lol edward was born in 1239
@@1685Violin It’s been a long time since I’ve seen the movie. Take the laugh and give a guy a break.
@@1685Violin You are correct - but how is 1203 relevant ?
Nice to see Moray mentioned. He was at least as important as Wallace.
FRREEEEEDDOOOOOMM!!!
This was a fantastic aside from the usual content. Which is top notch as well, of course!
Glad you enjoyed it!
@@RealCrusadesHistory Hugely enjoyed this, thanks. I’m Scottish btw.
This battle is still studied in Military History today, as it represents a perfect case of losing when you have the superior force. Great video
I'm a proud Scotsman!! Alba gu brath!!!
Wallace is still shouting freedom from the grave.
Very well done, as always! Have a blessed and Happy New Year! Please keep the outstanding videos coming and God bless you, my friend!
This was cool, glad you decided to mix it up

I LOVE how you used Medieval Total War in your video! @Real Crusades History

Protip: Never listen to the treasurer, do what you know is right.
Great video!
I heard a theory the Templars assisted Robert Bruce win at Bannockburn. Any truth in this?
I would like to know if there is truth to this too.

Do you do your gameplay footage in the battle or does some else. Because I’d like to ask about the mod they use for medieval 2 to get the footage
He said before that someone does the gameplay footage and gives it to him.
A good job as usual, but what has it to do with the Crusades?
maybe the connection is that Edward Longshanks was in the 9th crusade????..Either way its an interesting topic

A savage time.
William Wallace was a true patriot for his people & country 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Very intelligent comments on Vlad, Mercenary, thanks for contributing to the discussion.
John De Warrene 6th earl of surrey is my 25th great grandfather.
They did Moray dirty in the movie.
The connection being that Edward I had been a crusader?
I like to stray from the Crusades now and then.
@Space Organism Ridiculous comment.

Bravest and truest knight ever to have walked the earth.
This is accurate, not like Braveheart
6:40 they left that part outta brace heart 😂😂

Wait - I was told they were all wearing kilts!
Battle of Stanford bridge or something?!
Alba gu brath ! ! ⚔
That sounds mostly different from the movie. Lol
