X-Men could receive a good buff if they design a decent Professor X character with the right tactics cards (possible leadership) and core abilities to fill in the gaps in the faction. I would also like to see Nightcrawler, Jubilee, Falcon. I think they will put Iceman and Pyro in a combo pack. Jean Grey (Phoenix) could also be a great 6 threat and give X-Men a hulk equivalent (but with mystic instead of physical) I also hope they get around to good Apocalypse kit.
@@CharmerCork well that is crazy then - MCPDB and the AMG website both have it as been in the Colossus and Magik pack. Quinn did mention it but when we checked we figured we must have just got it wrong.
Well, that complaint about Storm wanting to hang back while the rest move up is more a factor of the characters chosen. It seems odd to say that X-men have no synergy in general, when what you've selected is three character that play up the board and two that don't. X-men can do a long range gunline style (Where Storm's leadership shines a bit more alongside Cable, Domino and Scott) Or up the board (with characters like Rogue Colossus and X-23 where Scott's leadership is better for those spenders you want). I think what unifies the affiliation is a lot of movement shenanigans they can pull off with Storm, To me my X-men, Field Leader, Matter Transmutation, Beast's spend etc.
I'm surprised you're so down on cable. I think he's better in Steve's avengers, but I've enjoyed him in storm as well. Range 5 builder with 2 potential free moves and cover. 10 dice from long range and maybe even a throw? Doesn't feel nearly as bad as you say it does. Maybe I just don't play competitive enough metas but it works around here.
I really hope we get a new Cyclops at some point (maybe a young Cyclops who can lead Xmen or be a strong team member for the Champions since we have Ms Marvel and Miles. That said, team I've been thinking about in my head. Storm, Rogue, Magik, Jean, and Crystal for absolute battlefield control. Lots of pushes, advances, and slows from Crystal and gaining heavy use of Storm's auto-cover power. Filling out the roster is Magneto which with Gambit and Rogue also means a good Brotherhood set up as a second option), Toad, Mister Sinister. Prioritize taking Mister sinister over a 3 or 4 cost unit with good movement and you can get them in with Cloning Vats as a mid game lifeline. (Though I also have a preference for keeping it more X-men thematics than full on best tactics. Zemo's amazing but he's not exactly mutant-friendly)
I think xmens problem will be sorted by the new 'dynamic leadership' tactic card thing Sotrms ability drops off as game goes on and cyclops ability gets better as game goes on. Swapping from one to other will help ALOT
Unfortunately Chris I have to disagree - Cyclops' leadership is only half of his problem, the other half is he is just not a great 4 threat, and the thought of running both him and Storm in the same squad does not sound appealing to me - who knows, I may be wrong!

The first Roster we built was something called a '3 box challenge' roster, that took the core box and then 3 additional character packs. Due to this, there would only ever be a maximum of 6 X-Men characters in the pack. For the second roster we had carte blanche to build the next roster possible using an X-Men leadership. This video was also from over 2 years ago, a time where X-Men did not have a lot of good characters, nor did they have a lot of models to choose from. Done today, this would look very, very different!

wonder if we can get a new one for X-men with all the new characters released
I was lucky enough to meet Quin at a Marvel event at Element games recently. Such a nice guy
I mean, I would say lucky is a strong word to use when meeting Quinn ;-)
@@RichMidGaming lol
Any plans of doing updated versions of these since the standard announcement? Or really just more ultimate guides in general?
waiting until the dust settles a little. There are still affiliations we haven't yet done, and yeah, need to update them with all the changes...
Is there a reason you didn't take the 20 threat secure that comes with Rouge and Gambit? Specifically in the budget list.
So, the website and MCP Database both state it comes in the Colossus pack... (we may have to double check)
@@RichMidGaming It's 100% in the Rogue and Gambit box. (source - I own it)

Hey guys, I can’t see the tactics cards and it’s not listed in the description. Can you list it for me?

I think he’s actually pretty good in Avengers, but we knew we wanted to double Hulk it so having 2 x 6 threats and a 5 threat felt too much.
I really enjoy cable, he can really get some work done. I don't often leave home without him

The premium Xmen's list is an A-force wannabe list, 7/10 being x-ladies but alas Cyclops, Wolverine, Colossus and Cable are very easily benched.

Not a real uncanny xmen video when half the team isn't xmen....
