In 1980, my high school girlfriend vanished into thin air. I dropped her off at work and when I went back to pick her up, she wasn't there. I searched but wasn't able to find her. After a couple years, I moved on. 40 years later in 2020, she contacted me out of the blues and asked me to help her with her husband's passing. I helped her with his final journal. We reconnected through this tragic process. I found out her mom and brother took her out of state without a day's notice because they didn't like me being with her. She moved on as well after a couple years and got married through an arranged marriage (where the parents decide who should marry without the couples consent). She never knew her husband before their marriage and because of obligations to the elders, she stayed in this marriage for 34 years. After we reconnected, we found that our long long lost love was still there and we're back together. This song represents to the letters what we went through.
