Computer data scientist here : News flash ! As long as you are using the internet, you are the product. As long as you aren’t paying by cash, you are also the product. About 20 years ago I started doing one of these type advertising companies through the landline phone. I had to scan each item like at the grocery store and then take a picture of the receipt. I got less than $10 and they asked for their scanning device back. 😂 I haven’t done any since.
They have improved. Now you just connect you grocery and drugstore accounts and it’s automatic. When your phone says, You got $0.05+, you just smile. Check once a month and cash out or gift card out in about a minute. Easy and fast!
Thanks for the informative video. After watching this I've decided to delete the only receipt app that I use. That is the fetch one. I'm not good with keeping up with scanning the receipts, but mostly all the info mining just isn't worth the return to me. I'm like you and shop very frugally. The points I do have, have been very slow adding up. I'll cash those out, and be finished with these kinds of apps.
Yup!! We are products… Back in day @ mall there would be a person trying to get you in with a wooden tablet .. Yes early 2000 Valley View Mall Dallas, TX. Ask you questions & give you cash 💰 for your time . It’s now all digital.
Oh NO! When did they change this?? Literally a week ago I was about to cash out to my bank… now it’s just gift cards to places like all the other apps. That’s seriously disappointing. Thanks for bringing it to my attention.
Most, I’d agree, aren’t worth it for anyone. But people have different circumstances. If someone is on disability and food stamps for example, even a few extra dollars can really help.
@@Homegrown_Hillary that's a fair point. I just got so frustrated using them and was kind of disappointed some big name people recommend them. I also REALLY don't like the data mining.
Sorry if that came across as I was aiming it at you. I honestly just stumbled across your channel last night and found this helpful as I had never heard of a couple you reviewed. My frustration is more with the apps and some of the big names that recommend them. I hadn't looked at it from that lense though.
@@remylabeau7716 it’s all good! I mostly aim to reply not just for whoever commented, but for the benefit of anyone who goes down to read the comments. Trying to be as helpful as I can. 😊 But I know what you mean about people who just hawk any and all apps trying to make a quick buck themselves, and the expense of mostly desperate people. Super frustrating.
I use Checkout 51 just for gas (gas offers are in the Extras section of the app). They typically offer more cash back per gallon in my area than Upside does. Before I buy gas, I check both apps and then use the one with the best deal that day. However, I know this is location dependent. When I visit my mom in another state, none of the local gas stations partner with Checkout 51 but many partner with Upside.
Holy crap is it refreshing to find an intelligent UA-camr that tells it how it is to the best of their knowledge

Wow.... people have been tring to get stuff like this off the ground for a long time... I thought this was recent thing lol
another great video! So glad I found your channel!
Thank you for the increased volume. Most of your videos are difficult or impossible to hear.
Thanks for the feedback!
We have none of these in the UK, but I love your videos so much I’ve watched it all the way through.
Oh my goodness you’re too kind! Do you have any similar apps in the UK?

These encourage you to shop more,so,not saving anything
I found that as well. I have deleted most of them for that reason.

Thank you for your honest review!
You’re most welcome! 😊
I signed up for Frisbee thru your link but did not get the bonus points. Maybe it takes time. Thanks!
Double checked the rules and it says you get the points after your first recipe is uploaded!
@@Homegrown_Hillary it uploaded. Thank you!

Great review! You were straight to the point!
I’ve never been interested in cash back apps. I’m just old. LOL!
Thank you. I know which one to use.
This video is good. Someone to give us info on multiple cash app platforms.
You are best!
I never use those apps.
You’re right Ibotta too time consuming for what one gets . I do like Fetch .
Where is the link to UPSIDE?
Nope , don't do money back apps.
How do you redeem to PayPal on frisbee I don’t see that option
Oh NO! When did they change this?? Literally a week ago I was about to cash out to my bank… now it’s just gift cards to places like all the other apps. That’s seriously disappointing. Thanks for bringing it to my attention.
Can you do mistpalay as well?
No, I just looked and it wasn’t available in my App Store! Sorry!
The point that I tried all of these apps and make at least 10 dollars from each
It’s time consuming
I don't understand why people recommend these apps to earn money from to help you pay down debt. They aren't worth it.
