When I was a little kid in the car listening to this, I could tell it was a representation of their love for each other. Now, older, I'm 31 and married, and this song resonates to me deeply. I got super lucky to grow up in the US with two parents who grew up in the 80s and listened to this song. When I was a little kid in the car listening to this, I could tell it was a representation of their love for each other. Now, older, I'm 31 and married, and this song resonates to me deeply. It now holds the meaning of my newer young love, but still holds the same meaning my parents once had.
To me it’s both ‘a happy sad song’ & ‘a sad happy song’. I could listen to it all day.
