This BEAUTIFUL lady saved me. I was stuck, in a miserable home. A place, where mirth went, to die. Stayed home, sick, and saw her do her schtick. I'd never heard of stand-up comedy, but, I was hooked. Every bout of depression, I turned to Ms. Diller, to pull me out. She introduced me to Johnny Carson, who introduced me to so many others, but, Phyllis Diller showed me a new way, to see life. God bless her.
I remember her when I was growing up. TV was great back then. What a funny lady! Now this is real comedy! Without all the vulgar swearing and filthiness.
Phyllis Diller was the one started it all, she helped paved away by opening doors for many female stand-ups like Joan Rivers, Rosanne Barr, Ellen DeGeneres, Lily Tomlin and Margaret Cho. It's a perfect example of many women breaking barriers in any entertainment field.
Met her at Harrah's Reno in 1993' on her birthday. I worked in the engineering dept, and she called down about A/C not working? So. I went up to fix it. She was an all out good person. That famous laugh of hers, was genuine!...
Phyllis was the best. Great comedian.Maybe what some don't realize is she was originally a trained classical pianist who played professionally. Brilliant, intelligent, erudite person, was Phyllis.
I always liked P.Diller, even as young as age 5, back during 1965. I watched her sitcom, it was funny. It was on for one or two seasons. I always wondered what Fang looked like, I could never find a pic of him. Phyllis was hilarious.
She was so hilarious!! I watched her sitcom when new...The Pruitts of Southhampton. It was funny. I always wondered what her husband looked like, she always called him Fang. She, Bob Hope, and Lucille Ball were friends.Such funny people with real class.
My mothers in-law had the same hairdos, I miss her , she was funny and a little crazy but made me laugh with her ANTIC's, Phyllis was great to. RIP Ladies
She was So smart.. and So funny. From the look .. to the timing.. to the ease with which she delivered each line.. So much going on in that brain at one time. She was One of a kind - A True American original.
Probably ten years ago, maybe a bit more, I was watching The Bold and the Beautiful. They were waiting for the minister to come for a wedding. Who should show up but Phyllis Diller! It was hilarious. She stole the show.
I cry inside for Phyllis. She spent her entire life trying to have people like her. She, was fine. Human-kind, not so much. We're as awful now (2018) as then.
She keeps going and going, till you just can’t stop laughing. Had tears in my eyes.. it’s so stupid it’s funny as hell. That laugh she has.. drags you through it..! A golden trashed out American icon.
Phyllis Diller ❤ loved her has a comedian, her laugh, and her Witt. She ,Rosanne Bar , Red Skelton, Jacky Gleeson, Lucy A Ball ,will always be the best of the best . They did not have to get down right nasty to make the punch line!! 👍👍👍❤
Just looking at the thumbnail for this video, I want to chuckle because Phyllis Diller was so eccentric. She always seemed like a cartoon character who stepped out into the real world, with the loud and flamboyant dresses, the crazy hair sticking up, and the painted on, arched eyebrows.
Don't know the name of it but I remember watching Phyllis in a movie back in the 1960's where she rode a motorcycle and was squirting mustard on people.
We had neighbors when both the mom and the daughter were named Phyllis. One day I called the daughter Phyllis Diller and she go SO mad! That was when Phyllis Diller looked like that.
Love love love her her beautiful dress her hairstyle makeup necklace she had style and class and taste funny as hell her husband Fang oh my God just listen to her laugh she was very unique I want to be just like her I love her dress and to look I think I'm going to tease my hair up and try to laugh like her maybe it'll make the world a nicer place
