Looks good. I'm looking to do a similar look. I just added the floaters to my G11 and it looks better than the stock caps, but not personalized. I used the same tape trick except I used a strong 3M tape. Video was very informative. Thanks. I look forward to seeing future videos.

I just got the standard floaters from IND and I love them! I myself prefer to keep the blue and white on my Carbon Black X4 M40i but I did settle for the standard with the chrome around the edge as they were sold out of the standard floaters with just the chrome edge delete to gloss black, which I have to admit I think was/is their best option.

I ordered the blue with black. I heard you should use silicone on the inside clamps to keep from popping out due to heat fluctuations.

Hi. Just stumbled onto your channel. This is a mod that’s been in my head for awhile, but I didn’t know how to get it done. I’ve got a 2011 E92 ‘3 LCI 335i coupe in Black Sapphire Metallic. I want to make it all blacked out. (I despise chrome on cars and bikes. My Ducati is all blacked out with either black aluminum or carbon fiber). Car’s got the Shadowline trim and I’ve swapped in M black double vane grilles. I’ve changed out the chrome numbers on trunk lid for black ones. I want to delete the little bits of chrome on her, but couldn’t figure out how to eliminate the outer chrome ring on the roundels, and I’ve got the chrome DINAN lettering on left side of trunk lid. Dinan doesn’t make black badges, so how can I get them made black? I’m in South Florida. I’d appreciate your guidance. ~Ernie.

Nice! I’d simply remove the badges and get either a flat (or glossy black) spray. Spray them off the car, then reapply them with some fresh adhesive/badge glue 👍🏼

Nice work, but the M logos on each wheel should be at the 6 o'clock position before installation. The floating wheels caps would then be centered over each logo. Just my opinion. I did this with my M5.

Does it matter though given that the wheel will turn and the M logo will move but the floating caps won't? You can line them all up and after driving they will no longer be lined up

if you use dental floss to cut thru the old adhesive first, it comes out super easy
