This popped up on my phone today because, the Allman Brothers are my favorite band, and because we just lost President (and great human being) Jimmy Carter 💔 I too loved all the comments about Gregg's genuine belly laughs (although you could tell it was hurting him to laugh so hard the way he kept grabbing his side) and thoroughly agreed with Bill Mahar's comment about Jimmy Carter. He was much maligned by many in this country as a weak President___ Bill Mahar was right, he showed strength! This Northern girl admires both these Georgian boys! RIP Jimmy Carter and Gregg Allman 💞
I love Greg's music - an American treasure. I agree about Jimmy Carter. A great President who tried to make the changes needed for the long-term - didn't shoot up the economy with steroids/debt and wave the flag, then leave the fallout for the kids.
Totally agree..and Carter wrote books on the truth of the conflict in Israel/Palestine..that Israel has always oushed its borders and basically stole ancient lands from the Palestinians .
Missing Gregg even though I never knew him personally I felt like I did through his music. We were Gregg groupies in the 80's-90's and saw him every chance we could. This interview made me feel a bit happier as it was so good to see him "alive" and laughing. Always loved his laugh -it's contagious!!
i saw gregg a few days ago en mobile, alabama and he STILL GOT IT, the man is like wine, awesome show! love you gregg thank for that gig!! i'll never forget it
I have lived in Georgia all my long life 56 years long. I’m proud that Gregg Allman and the Allman brothers along with President Carter’s were a very integral part of MY PROUD Southern heritage. I had the privilege of meeting Miss Lillian Carter when Jimmy was running for President. She was a sweet southern lady. The Allman brothers set the standard for other artists trying to duplicate a LIVE record. I am today a VERY PROUD Southern Gentlman. Conan tried to make southerners sound like a bunch of “Hicks”. If you ask me..... he sounds like he needed a trip behind the ole woodshed where two walks behind the shed and one limps back from behind it! RIP Gregg Allman your making that sweet Southern Rock again with Duane! Sadly missed!
Well, I'm an American and you're right, Jimmy Carter was our best president, within the last 50 yrs. It's to our detriment, that he didn't get re-elected. Allman was right!
I love when people make comments despite not paying attention to the video. The question Allman asked -- When was the last southern President before Jimmy Carter (39th President)? Conan did answer correctly saying "after Abraham Lincoln (16th President), Andrew Johnson (17th President)".
What Carter hates is Hate. The IDF throwing Palestinian families out of their homes kicking and screaming, bulldozing them and building settlements for religious fundamentalists who tell the world God told them it was their land. That is actually the core of all the Middle East turmoil and the trillions the American taxpayer has had to shoulder. Allman Bros. music was one of the backdrops for a lot of my life. It accompanied me thru all the experiences over decades. Some of you may relate.
U van really say Conan is a really good interviewer, comedian, everything, he knows to be silly af and being funny, sarcastic and he knows what question to ask a guest and when to get serious and makes gis guests laugh, long live the Conan
Valerie I wish I knew how to get in contact with Gregg Allman. What a fun and silly guy he is! I can't stop listening to him laugh. I'm 57 with blond hair and blue eyes and love to be the first to get into innocent mischief! His laugh is GREAT and he's smart! I have a BS and 2 MS degrees with the sense of humor that would have him in stitches! I always thought he was a drug addict left over from the 70's! I love this man and have got to get in touch if nothing else but to be smart & laugh
Based on your lack of knowledge, I wouldn't expect you to understand this. But maybe, just MAYBE, we wouldn't even HAVE the nuts we deal with today if all presidents handled these people the way Jimmy Carter did.
Thank you. A great American President. Unlike the current but only sometimes resident of The White House, he really wanted to drain the swamp, esp. after Watergate, and find new ways of dealing with foreign powers, without having to send sons and daughters of working class Americans to war.
Carter was and still is a humble man, in touch with his small-town roots. What all true liberals should aspire to be like, unfortunately, most liberal politicians/leaders and Democrats are not like that. And don't get me started on the Trumplicans.
my point is thats the only thing he had to deal with the hostage crisis...... no countries invading other countries and killing thier people. Thats when we step, and "fire the shots".
actually reagan got things UNdone, followed by a recession, followed by a string of good movies, followed by a decade of bad music. just spewing facts thats all
Carter was a great man, and he does great work with Habitat for Humanity, but he was one of our most inept presidents in America's history. When he enterred the Oval Office, the nation was at in a recession, and after his poor management we found ourselves kneedeep in a depression. You can't argue against his principles, but that doesn't make him a good leader.
Brian C I know he’s not highly remembered in america but overseas he’s well remembered he helped many countries overseas and was just a nice guy plus he’s the only president that basically got everything he promised accomplished
Yeah that cleared up ABSOLUTELY nothing. I'm saying two-term presidents, even in their first term, which lasted just as long as Jimmy Carter's, still fired shots. How does that not make sense to you?
Gregg can't help but come off like an old geezer. He acts like he can barely talk. And Carter was a terrrible joke of a president. Sorry, but I remember his presidency and I was only a kid. Carter was WEAK and he couldn't work with his staff or anybody, and the latter I saw in a Carter documentary.
Gregg always loved being interviewed by Conan. He really made him laugh. It's so nice to see.
Conan loves great music and musicians you can tell he's excited to talk to him.
I love seeing Gregg laugh. That really made me feel good. Will miss him dearly.

Gregg's genuine laughter and joy makes ya feel so good....you know he had an incredible life. Sail on Sailor
"Doesn't Texas count as the South? "Naaaaah!" RIP Mr. Allman. And thanks.
God bless Gregg Allman. His family and "friends" left a foundation that will always inspire.
Always a Gregg Allman fan, always a Jimmy Carter fan - seems like both of them know the best kind of people to hang out with. . .
Carter came to Gregg's funeral. They stayed friends until the end.
i have seen so may Gregg Allman interviews where he looks like he's not having a good time but he genuinely seems to be enjoying this conversation.
He was so cool..one of my all time favorites. Down to earth superstar! RIP Mr Allman
I love Greg's music - an American treasure. I agree about Jimmy Carter. A great President who tried to make the changes needed for the long-term - didn't shoot up the economy with steroids/debt and wave the flag, then leave the fallout for the kids.
Dean Wallis well said Dean

I have never seen Greg laugh like this, so nice to see his happier lighter side. Both funny!
i saw gregg a few days ago en mobile, alabama and he STILL GOT IT, the man is like wine, awesome show! love you gregg thank for that gig!! i'll never forget it
One of the best interviews I've seen Conan do.
I have lived in Georgia all my long life 56 years long. I’m proud that Gregg Allman and the Allman brothers along with President Carter’s were a very integral part of MY PROUD Southern heritage. Rip Gregg, you'll always be one of the best
For us non american Carter is the best, the most human. Others looks like just puppets of war. RIP Gregg and Duane. And Trucks and Oakley.
Well, I'm an American and you're right, Jimmy Carter was our best president, within the last 50 yrs. It's to our detriment, that he didn't get re-elected. Allman was right!
That's the hardest I've ever seen Gregg laugh!! That was cool 😂😀
Oh my god they're hysterical.... Bill Maher, Andy, and Conan all made Gregg Allman feel so at home they're so funny all of them...
I love this interview >
Conan has Gregg busting
a gut,...that's cool as hell
R.I.P. Gregg Allman ✝️
God Bless Jimmy Carter 💞
RIP Jimmy Carter 💔 Bless the memory of the singer/musician/lyricist of my favorite band The Allman Brothers 💞
He has the best laugh...it’s infectious
I loved his laugh!!
Seen him play about a few weeks before he passed. Awesome concert
I love when people make comments despite not paying attention to the video.
The question Allman asked -- When was the last southern President before Jimmy Carter (39th President)? Conan did answer correctly saying "after Abraham Lincoln (16th President), Andrew Johnson (17th President)".
Seeing Gregg cracking up is great.
God bless Gregg. Allman Bros gave so much to the world.
It's was a joy to see Gregg so tickled!
What Carter hates is Hate. I so love to see Gregg 👀 laugh ,He was absolutely 💯 AMAZING
He seems like such a great guy!
R.I.P. Greg! An American treasure, as was Duane for the short time he lived.
U van really say Conan is a really good interviewer, comedian, everything, he knows to be silly af and being funny, sarcastic and he knows what question to ask a guest and when to get serious and makes gis guests laugh, long live the Conan

What a precious man.
I bet you Gregg and Daune are in the afterlife playing awesome music
....looooove to hear Gregg laughin’..;)
RIP President Carter
Greg Allman
#1 💯%
RIP gregg allman
Third best rock star laugh behind Ace Frehley and Keith Moon. RIP Gregg.
Keef and Mick would like a word
Gregg Allman!!!
He looks like he is pain when he laughs. It's cute somehow.
MiotaLee He probably is! He doesn't exactly look like the epitome of good health!
Gregg Allman has a little comedy act going here...............Bravo ~ kimie
Miss Gregg still ❣️
I will always love Gregg Allman. ...and I am nothing to the man. But, he deserves the adoration!
This is great
I'm so proud:)
Carter was good
bill maher and greg all man.... to much coolness for one computer screen.
RIP Gregg

lol this is great
MyGod🙏One of the Greatest Tales-Ever2Be Told📜
correction "is" :)
This was the funniest thing ever lol
i see what your saying but i also dont think he was trying to perpetuate defense spending till the end of time. the cold war's over now
Illuminati sign in the thumbnail
RIP.
technically, Woodrow Wilson was a southerner, but he lived in New Jersey when he became president, so I'm not sure if he counts...
Carter was and still is a humble man, in touch with his small-town roots. What all true liberals should aspire to be like, unfortunately, most liberal politicians/leaders and Democrats are not like that. And don't get me started on the Trumplicans.
read the book. it is a good read
my point is thats the only thing he had to deal with the hostage crisis...... no countries invading other countries and killing thier people. Thats when we step, and "fire the shots".
Maher says 'yes". Allman says "Nah".
WE'RE GOING WITH "NAH!"
actually reagan got things UNdone, followed by a recession, followed by a string of good movies, followed by a decade of bad music. just spewing facts thats all
That's one perspective. Another perspective is if we had handled Iran violently, perhaps we'd have had more 9/11s today.
Gregg. Lets go fishin'

presidents dont spend all thier time with foreign affairs.... no invasions no involvment.
I said he didn't fire a shot becuase he wasn't in long to have to. Make sense now?
i was, it was a joke
Never heard of this guy?
That’s no lie
Mayer shutdown by Conan. Yessir.
illuminati confirmed, 0:41
Is true Jimmy Carter grew the best weed???
LBJ and Wilson.
Wilson grew up in the South but he was "from" Jersey when he ran for President, just like Reagan grew up in the Midwest but was "from" California.
Loved their music, but he's a total burnout now. Bill Maher isn't happy unless he's angry about something! Total downer of a person!
Bill has no need to be there he's a no talented ass go to the view
Love Gregg but Jimmy Carter was the worst president we have had along with Bush and Woodrow Wilson.
Gregg can't help but come off like an old geezer. He acts like he can barely talk. And Carter was a terrrible joke of a president. Sorry, but I remember his presidency and I was only a kid. Carter was WEAK and he couldn't work with his staff or anybody, and the latter I saw in a Carter documentary.
i wish i had seen this episode :/ but no... buu england!
Greg Allman, I love your voice and music, but to answer your question the answer is Ronald Reagan!
Lol, good one
That’s was bullshit.
