    I love Greg's music - an American treasure. I agree about Jimmy Carter. A great President who tried to make the changes needed for the long-term - didn't shoot up the economy with steroids/debt and wave the flag, then leave the fallout for the kids.

      Totally agree..and Carter wrote books on the truth of the conflict in Israel/Palestine..that Israel has always oushed its borders and basically stole ancient lands from the Palestinians .

    I have lived in Georgia all my long life 56 years long. I’m proud that Gregg Allman and the Allman brothers along with President Carter’s were a very integral part of MY PROUD Southern heritage. I had the privilege of meeting Miss Lillian Carter when Jimmy was running for President. She was a sweet southern lady. The Allman brothers set the standard for other artists trying to duplicate a LIVE record. I am today a VERY PROUD Southern Gentlman. Conan tried to make southerners sound like a bunch of “Hicks”. If you ask me..... he sounds like he needed a trip behind the ole woodshed where two walks behind the shed and one limps back from behind it! RIP Gregg Allman your making that sweet Southern Rock again with Duane! Sadly missed!

    Missing Gregg even though I never knew him personally I felt like I did through his music. We were Gregg groupies in the 80's-90's and saw him every chance we could. This interview made me feel a bit happier as it was so good to see him "alive" and laughing. Always loved his laugh -it's contagious!!

    I love when people make comments despite not paying attention to the video.
    The question Allman asked -- When was the last southern President before Jimmy Carter (39th President)? Conan did answer correctly saying "after Abraham Lincoln (16th President), Andrew Johnson (17th President)".

    What Carter hates is Hate. The IDF throwing Palestinian families out of their homes kicking and screaming, bulldozing them and building settlements for religious fundamentalists who tell the world God told them it was their land. That is actually the core of all the Middle East turmoil and the trillions the American taxpayer has had to shoulder. Allman Bros. music was one of the backdrops for a lot of my life. It accompanied me thru all the experiences over decades. Some of you may relate.

I'm 57 with blond hair and blue eyes and love to be the first to get into innocent mischief! His laugh is GREAT and he's smart! I have a BS and 2 MS degrees with the sense of humor that would have him in stitches! I always thought he was a drug addict left over from the 70's! I love this man and have got to get in touch if nothing else but to be smart & laugh

    Based on your lack of knowledge, I wouldn't expect you to understand this. But maybe, just MAYBE, we wouldn't even HAVE the nuts we deal with today if all presidents handled these people the way Jimmy Carter did.

    • @Hammerton32
      @Hammerton32 7 років тому +1

      Thank you. A great American President. Unlike the current but only sometimes resident of The White House, he really wanted to drain the swamp, esp. after Watergate, and find new ways of dealing with foreign powers, without having to send sons and daughters of working class Americans to war.

    Carter was and still is a humble man, in touch with his small-town roots. What all true liberals should aspire to be like, unfortunately, most liberal politicians/leaders and Democrats are not like that. And don't get me started on the Trumplicans.

    Carter was a great man, and he does great work with Habitat for Humanity, but he was one of our most inept presidents in America's history. When he enterred the Oval Office, the nation was at in a recession, and after his poor management we found ourselves kneedeep in a depression. You can't argue against his principles, but that doesn't make him a good leader.

    Gregg can't help but come off like an old geezer. He acts like he can barely talk. And Carter was a terrrible joke of a president. Sorry, but I remember his presidency and I was only a kid. Carter was WEAK and he couldn't work with his staff or anybody, and the latter I saw in a Carter documentary.
