Trevor got me through lockdown here in the UK. I'd wake up every day, watch his Daily Show monologue from the previous night, and come out with tonnes of optimism and a massive smile. I really miss him - especially his insanely funny Trump impression!
Same here from Germany. I miss this guy so much.
I've missed his insight with this election, as an American I've used both these men to get me through this crazy decade.
Same here. I don't live in the U.S. but I looked forward to seeing Noah with his growing hair and hoodie....NORMAL.
Trevor's Trump impression is one of my favorites. It's not very accurate, but it's hilarious. Seth Myers' Trump impression is the same way. Love them both. ❤

I don't wish Trevor the stress of having to be in touch with the news 24/7 but I miss him so much. He's so smart! No one could have done a better job of getting us through the pandemic and educating us on difficult topics than Trevor. I miss him so much! it's so amazing to see him.
Have you read his biography?
It's fabulous!
Trevor and John Oliver together would be an amazing daily show

Trevor is a gift. Born a crime one of my all time favorite books, and the daily show during the early days of Covid was so good.
Born a crime read by Trevor Noah himself is the all day lasting candy that educates you while you're binging on it.
I had to read your second sentence four times before I understood it. If you're referencing a book, put the title in italics and or quotes. "Born A Crime," is one of my all-time favorite books." No charge for the English lesson.

This interview was pure gold, with great chemistry, and it was truly fluid.
I miss Trevor’s insightful interviews on the Daily Show. They were always so much better than basically anyone’s. Funny and exceptionally smart.
You know it's the writers that write everything he (or any of the hosts) say anyway, right? No one has better delivery, and comedic timing than John Stewart. I wish Stewart was back full time, not just mondays. Trevor was ok, but no one out daily show's the Stewart.
@@gorak9000 I'ma let you finish, but John Oliver was the best Daily Show Host of all time
@@gorak9000 "writer write everything..."?? You know that's not true. Writer's do contribute, but most of these conversations are ad lib. Have you ever met Trevor Noah, Kimmel, Stewart, Leno, Letterman, etc.? All of these people simply know how to be personable and have a conversation, that's it.
@@attilaplasch6814 Ever watch the live satellite feed of colbert recording the monologue from home during covid where his video is going one way, and the prompter text is coming from NYC in the other direction? It's a LOT more scripted than you'd think. On average, he slightly changed the wording of one or two jokes a day while he was doing it - it's hard to say how much he contributed to the writing earlier in the day as that wasn't fed live by satellite. It was also surprising how many takes he had to do sometimes of each segment of monologue to get it right. I have nearly every covid monologue's production archived, both the prompter, and the live video going the other direction. Trevor doing the daily show also was fed by satellite during covid, but not live during production, only the final edited cut was fed daily, usually 3 or 4 hours before it aired on the east coast

I miss Trevor! Total shock when he took over The Daily Show and he just owned it! Glad to see him! Great interview!
A children's book about conflict resolution. Excellent idea! When my children were very young I took care of other children in my home. This book would have been a wonderful story with a hidden lesson I could teach.
Did they watch Mr. Rogers? That was a large part of his program.
I don’t know how we came up with the idea but when the kids would get into it we would make them sit in separate chairs until they apologized AND accepted the other’s apology. So basically each kid was armed with temporary parental authority. Usually it would go “I’m sorry” “I’m sorry and I accept your apology” “I accept your apology” and off they go playing again. BUT occasionally one of them would be really pissed off and would NOT accept the apology and they would sit there for awhile until whoever was offended cooled off and whoever was the offender got to think about what they’d done that made the other so angry. They were both good natured kids and it didn’t happen often but it sure made it easy on us as they self regulated. Face it…as parents we rarely knew exactly what happened but they knew what justice was required and were able to mete it out.
@@Theoreticallytexting Interesting and it is always interesting to think about why some kids tend to bring up "that's not fair" more than others.
Thank you for the smiles and laughter, Jimmy and Trevor!
lmao npc coment, stop glazing goofy
@@Mrunlimted47 Sometimes the NPC is the person who keeps saying the same thing repeatedly.
Most interesting thing is when Trevor says I’m more chill about being around kids cause “I don’t have them” and I’m not sure if he knows it, but he just hit upon the secret to parenting. I don’t think he meant it exactly in this context but it’s still the best way to put it. You must always remember with your kids, that you do not have them. They are not yours. They are their own people. Your job is to set the best example so that they learn how to be adults. And you do that by loving them and being truthful above all whenever possible.
Some people share their mothers crying because they got a tattoo or something, as the mother thinks her child's body is hers.
It's really disturbing.
Great way to look at it.....
That is beautiful and true! As a child abuse survivor I am amazed that this was the truth I try to explain to others, I was forced to decide at 7 , do I live and stop writing, drawing, creating or the alternate? They owned me
Nice. And I never say I'm proud of my kids, they and their accomplishments aren't my accomplishment. I stick with 'I'm grateful to admire them.'
@@NuiYabukoor I think I remembered how beautiful and perfect my son's skin was and how I spent so much time talking care, lotions and sunscreen. Then seeing a tattoo Mar the skin was sad to me. Also knowing that people often get tattoos when young and they are stuck with them when things change and it doesn't fit anymore.
Every interview with Trevor is too short. I simply want him to keep talking. He always has a life lesson to share, not to mention his humour. And of course, we're both South Africans 😉
I agree, he is wonderfully upbeat and articulate.
Always good to see folks from our country doing well
Of course.
He has an awesome podcast. I never miss an episode
I hated him at first simply because he’s not John Stewart. It took a little bit for him to find his footing, but he ended up getting really really good because his personality shined through more and more. Then when he left I was sad, just like when John left. He looks weird with a fro and that dirt on his upper lip though lol.

I love Trevor Noah. He is a good man who along with family survived apartheid in South Africa
The racism is still there.

Trevor's right! You should not make your bed at all, but fold down the covers to let the sheets dry and air out. Years ago, in Microbiology, we took samples from made and unmade beds (as well as sink faucets, toilet handles - all kinds of things), swabbed them on ager plates and counted the bacterial and other colonies. Made beds harbor far more bacteria, yeasts and molds.
Correct! My mum was a theatre nurse, and despite our home being hygienically clean, we did not make our beds until turn in time, we opened the duvets to let them air. 😂
When I found that out, I was so proud of myself for my chronically unmade bed! 😂😂😂

Love Trevor! He’s such an intelligent, eloquent, humorous and personable guy. I love to hear him debate with others. Even when their views are vastly different from his, he never puts the other person down or try to make them feel like their views don’t matter/ or are nonsensical. Trevor is such an awesome guy! I miss him on TDS. I'm glad he's out exploring though, more good stories that way!
Loved this immensely! Great job.
Trevor has been my favorite comedian for years! Not just because he’s witty and funny but because of his intelligence and the way he articulates his views on all kinds of issues. He speaks from such a neutral but enlightened place that pushes you to think whether you like it or not. A truly remarkable individual.
I'm totally with Trevor on the sitting until the doors open on a plane. I never get up before the doors are open, because it is more relaxing to sit and you don't get out any faster by standing earlier.
If you're tall, and your knees are pressed into the seat ahead of you for hours, I don't care if the door is open or not - I'm standing up to unkink my spine and stand for a few minutes. I also don't care if the people next to me want to move or not, I'm moving to the isle to stand, and they can deal with it.
@@gorak9000 I don't understand that, because if you have been on the plane for hours, why not wait 5 minutes instead of having to cower under the overhead luggage while waiting to get off. In 5 minutes you can stand up straight and stretch freely.
ty for clearing this up
@@johnforde7735Why wait?? Because it was uncomfortable and if it not necessary to sit anymore, you stand. I am short but I get that. My back hurts, I will stand when possible.
@@johnforde7735Either you're short enough to fit into economy seats or you fly at least business.
Sure, when I fly business I can calmly await a few more minutes.
But as a tall person I can't wait to stretch my legs. Those hours were torturous and every minute getting up early is a win.
